I think it was the antichrist who used that term...and was deliberately used to cause Rudi the most pain. The inference would seem to be that he had brought it about by will and it was not just an unfortunate event. But I could be the one that is wrong, Drpaladin. I'm still hoping Henry can save the day but maybe not. Tragedies do happen.

Yes.... But I would rather hope that Heathcliff would step in and insist that he only work with the company if Aiden was working with him. Obviously the thought of Heath terminating his contract might refocus the boss' priorities. Money talks! The only positive thing to come out of this chapter was Nate legally becoming part of the Beaumont family and the irony of being financially set up by the worst parent on the planet. Eagerly waiting the next chapter. -

I think, though probably wrong......Alex is hoping that he can convince Aron that Carter came on to him, hoping that Aron would end his friendship with Carter. I don't think Aron would believe him but Alex is convincing. Great story.

Brilliant chapter. I think I'm glad there wasn't an immediate resolution but wait (not very patiently) to see where it takes us. Is Carter autistic to a degree? I think the childhood memories were quite enlightening and would explain Carter's reaction to his best friend marrying someone else. Thanks for the great story!

This is a great story..... So often you can see what's going to happen but I've really no idea how you're going to resolve this one. It is indeed a tangled web. Poor Aron, he's not over Carter at all.... He's more in love with him than ever! What are you doing to us, @Laura S. Fox ? -

I am loving the story and realise that it's not a romance but I'm hoping that Lewis finds someone to settle down with. It was a pity he couldn't have got to know Sebastian better. I think they could have been a good match.
