Loving the story so far. I've known people like the main character - having been told they're worthless so many times they start to believe it. I hope he finds happyness (at least for awhile) w. Derrick. -

Yea for Nix! (and the rest of the gang) And poor Sifta. Self-loathing from being constantly told you are less - that can be so destructive, and something a lot of us on here probably have some experience with. Either with ourselves or with our friends.

It does seem like Etsu is the only one that cares for Caspin (other than his parents, who's caring is rather, well, 'parental') And I can confirm that the last born will ALWAYS be the baby to mothers.

A bit gruesome, but I'd agree w. Gabriella -- I'd have to see it to really know it was over with. -
Possibly the wrong spot but seems like a good one: What I'm seeing most on my notifications is "Author posted chapter # to chapter #." There are a few that say "...chapter # to story" but most do not. That is making it very difficult to catch updates to the stories I'm following, if I'm following the author as well.

Great start to the story. I'm an odd one with a body temperature that is normally just under 97. Had nurses argue with me when I say that 99 for me is a fever.
