So, good start. I am assuming happens that 'forces?' him to stay in Europe? Unless I read the prologue incorrectly? If correct, will be interesting to see what it is and how 'forceful' a proposition.

Well, they are safe...for now. If there is that much turmoil within the US, they will eventually look outside of their own country.

I still don't understand what happened that night. If it was a case of Torn not stopping when Paul said No, then it was rape - no? If it was rape, then it was a bit more than settling differences? It would have been good to see Torn's reunion. His reason is a bit dodge. Having his Family wonder who the RV belongs to and then having him step out of it would have been even more of a surprise, I would have thought.
-
The rape (?) doesn't make sense to me? Tom and Paul had already been having sex. During the "episode" Tom giggled. Even if this was before the rape, I don't think Tom would just lie there and say/do nothing whilst Paul was being raped. If Paul was raped and Tom did nothing, he is almost as bad as Torn. Paul's Dad asked if he was okay and he said Yes? Even if this was before the rape, I don't think Paul would have just laid there and let Torn do that to him. His Dad is right there in the same vehicle. Just a call away. He didn't call out or struggle? I know there are some huge ass RV's out there, but not that big that you can't hear stuff. I mean, Dad could hear Tom's giggling. Surely, if Dad thought that there was even a possibility that Torn raped Paul, he'd at least ask Torn about it so he knew whether to kick his ass to the curb? Surely!?!? Tom never said exactly what he was apologising for, when he apologised to his Dad? As above, his action/non-action is dodgy as. We never got any indication until later the next morning when Paul says Torn should have stopped when he asked him to, yet they are still all in the RV travelling on their merry way. It also confuses me that Torn never apologised. I'd love to know what he said to Paul at breakfast? Especially if he threatened or bullied him in any way. There are too many unanswered questions. No, just No. Not Happy Jan! (any Australians out there remember this ad? Is it still shown on TV? ) ADD: I thought I lost my comment above because I was entering it when the big ZAP happened. I re-read parts of the chapter again. I don't know if the chapter was amended in any way, but the first person that mentions that 'something' happened was Dad!?!? That makes it even worse. He knew something happened at the time but didn't say anything? “Look, Paul, just because you’re gay doesn’t mean you have to put up with what happened last night. You need to make sure when you say No means No.”

Aaawww...at least JonJon and Ollie seem to be in the best place. Ampa Ephraim and Nanny Emily are lovely. Their shelter sounds perfect. I had an Great-Uncle Ephraim. Never met him or that side of the Family. Like the name...that's about it.

Aaawww...are we gonna lose JonJon? But he's their Captain.

This is scary. Scary and interesting. New Zealand is too small to have somewhere to "get away" from the coast/s. Especially where I live, in Auckland Could get scarier on the road depending on how desperate the situation becomes. Seems all good for now e.g. no-one fighting to get on, petrol and food still available, money still worth something, etc.

So, as always...that was awesome! Taylor is just a pissant. That's the "nicest word" I could think of. The perfect Demon fodder. Prince Havar did well, considering. Being who he is and how he feels, the times he let his anger show were understandable. I loved that Chris can just create a portal literally out of thin air. Not sure I knew if he could do that? Can't wait for the continuation of their meeting. I love me some Humble Pie eating. Random thought - I always wondered why Chris needed as much power as he has, is due to obtain as he ascends. I assumed it was to fight Demons, but he seems to be doing that relatively okay. Then I remembered what Havar said about other options if they are not allowed to go the Astra Spell route. Maybe the ultimate power Chris will obtain is against, not the Demons, but the other option? I do understand why Havar feels the way he does, especially after their discussion on the flight to AZ. But his solution/s, thinking, etc. Sorry Your Highness, but no. You need another, more inclusive, plan. New Zealand would be honoured to accomodate the capital of the Elven Kingdom here on Earth.

Chapter 5: Reckless Reveal
Buz commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 5: Reckless Reveal
Firstly, congrats on the nuptials. Best wishes to you both for a long and happy life together. So glad we got past the "mate" issue relatively quickly and easily. Mace's Dad sounds hot. So is Mace's Mother Human or Shifter as well? If she is Shifter, then that is awesome that she has Mage Powers as well. Love, Love, Love that Mace is a progressive Alpha e.g. has other types of Shifter's in his Pack, etc. That is way awesome and the kind of Pack I'd LOVE to belong to. Loving this story very much -
Oh hell, okay. This is very basic okay. We are assuming a few things (e.g. the food has been prepared for cooking and is ready in the wire baskets, the pits have been dug (one for the fire/heating of the stones, one for the hangi/food), you've got the correct rocks (volcanic), you've got the correct wood, you know how to do the fire, you know how to lay your rocks in the hangi pit, you've got your wet sheet ready, you know how to layer the wet sacks (first one on is last one off and layered in way that no dirt gets on the food), you know how to cover the whole lot with dirt properly, etc) So, very basically, you heat the rocks in one pit. Once hot enough, transfer them to the hangi pit, wet them a bit to create some steam, put the baskets of food on the hot rocks - meat first then veges on top, put the soaked sheet on top of the baskets, put the soaked sacks on top of the sheet, then put the dirt on top of the sacks. Et voila! It all gets steamed to perfection. The whole process takes approx. 6 to 8 hours maybe. Is a lot of work for a lot of people. Also, whilst the hangi is the main food on the table, it is not the only food. All the sides (e.g. usually a variety of seafood, muttonbirds, fried and/or rewana bread, etc) and desserts as well. There are "modern/quicker" ways to do it. But I don't think they taste the same. Plus usually a real hangi is for special occasions these days which means a big feast and hangin' with the whanau/family. The "modern/quicker" way is just if you want a feed. Disclaimer - I am no hangi expert, at all. I helped with a hangi once and once was enough. I am useless at that stuff. I am better at doing dishes

Whilst this is true, maybe Carlos' Father felt that Carlos did not value his life's work. That he felt that if Carlos did take over the Farm it would be a way of expressing how proud he was that his Father worked so hard all of his life to leave him such a 'legacy?' He may have felt more hurt than anything but did not have the where-with-all to express how he was feeling, etc. An element of machismo? I know there are lots of '...but's...' and '...what if's...' and '...if only's...' in the above statement, but Humans can be rather complex creatures - no? Thanks for another good one

I am sorry. But I would not be able to eat Cuy. No. No. No. Just the thought of it makes me all squeamish...
-
When we cook food in the ground, it is called a 'hangi'. I don't eat meat anymore, but it was so yum. Hangi with seafood (especially raw fish, kina [sea urchin] and creamed paua [abalone]) and fried bread. OMFG! Talk about a foodgasm... Then of course came dessert...

I've decided I don't have the patience to be an Archaeologist. But then, living with the possibility that today might be THE day when you discover...That would be pretty cool.
-
I am going to assume they find something even more significant at their dig. I actually can't wait for that part. I wonder what it will be. Wonder why Carlos' Dad didn't want him to go to Uni? Is it just because he expected his Son to work the farm with him? Does Carlos have any siblings that are helping their Dad?
-
If you look at previous comments on other stories you will see that I understand that. That is why it was worth mentioning. It is not the norm for you...thats all I was saying.

They are jealous and so to reward their immaturity, let's send them to Peru! Okay... Sorry, but that was my initial reaction. If the University is willing to pay, that would be a beneficial trip for all concerned e.g. experience of a lifetime for the students, more worker bees for the Archaeologists, etc. Awesome reunion coming up for the Boys. Also, that was the most detailed/graphic sex scene I've read from you. Having said that, it wasn't very. Detailed or graphic I mean. Something different from you...
-
Potential partner straight off the bat. Liking it, liking it very much. Going on an archaeological dig is like going into a shop or mall you've never been to before. It is exciting cause you don't know what you're gonna find. Plus, if you do actually find something you love...bonus!

Pack? Protect! I am not convinced yet that the 5 are the 'other' Pack back again. Maybe Asha and Co. Will see. Interesting if they are not...

I wonder what this She-Wolf and her Pups will add to this story?

Oblivious with a capital "O"!

I know, he's Alpha so he should be...but I love Tris's self-control. Good on you. I think Sasha's rank is a benefit. He is so far removed from the hierarchy so is no simpering fool just cause Tris is Alpha.

Woo-hoo. Go Spunky! No intention spoken, explanation provided, etc. Just a get over here and then the command. LOL. I'd have growled and walked too...pssshhh!

Nadine is going to be hella pissed. Can't wait...

Chapter 17 - When game night isn't so fun
Buz commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 17 - When game night isn't so fun
I am glad that both parts of the Family were pulled up. It is hard when their hearts are in the right place . Even more so when their actions are wonky. I wouldn't have gone to Penn's room, especially after pulling people up for putting him in awkward situations. I would have taken my mattress and blankie into the living room. If some of the adults were still up, I've slept in a bath before. Would be real comfy after putting the mattress in it. It would go up the sides and be snuggly. The back seat of the car would be good because no-one would bother him there. I've slept sitting up heaps of times I would stop pushing too. Penn knows your deal now. I think any movement will have to come from him. Just being there and being you should remind him of why he had feelings for you in the first place, fingers crossed...
