Good as ever. You don't disappoint. Can't wait for the next chapter so no time for a long review here.

Interesting chapter. Isaac comes to terms with himself being gay in a dream? Wish it was like that for me. More likely to be the nightmare that survives; but is that because you are saying that Isaac is strong enough to be himself and accept himself no matter what others put on him? Well, you have made him out to be strong and he is coming thru more and more as the knight in shining armor, the hero who comes out the winner no matter what, who survives suicide, poisoning, strangling, and all the other unmentionable things Caleb tried on him. So let's see what happens to our hero as he starts a new life.

Well, that is a huge relief from the tension and soooo much better! Lots of good things now to look forward to. Thanks for a really great read! You are really something as a writer! Wow!
-
Another very intense chapter! You want us all to turn into vegetables with the anxiety of the waiting? We are all feeling what Ruth is feeling, what Kate is feeling. Trust the next chapter brings some relief. Don't know whether I can take much more of this!
-
Ah, I'm as wrung out as Katie now, but think it would be better he dies than come back not altogether there. Such an intense chapter. Too many tears! My God you are so good!
-
OMG I just want to read on to find out he's going to be OK. Surely he doesn't die now! That's too much, too cruel! I have to find out and read the next chapter. So glad I'm not reading this incomplete and waiting desperately for this next chapter to be published. That's too much agony! Must find that next chapter - NOW!
-
Ah, the romantic chapter! So sweet! But not quite what I had expected and maybe a little too much of the unreal here. Perhaps a bit out of my ken? Maybe? Teary, yes! But real? Not so sure about that. Will have to see what the coming chapters bring as the story is not over by a long shot. Still a lot of chapters to go on this I am glad to see, so perhaps we will get back into a tougher harder reality than this. I like that more, though the romance is fun.

This is one of the best reads I have had here and really keeping me engrossed. I am only surfacing for air, food and a quick check on my special friend online! This chapter on Rick's view was written with a kind of breathless urgency in it - or was that in me anxiously wanting to know the next opening of the story? Anyway, it caught me up in it. Great writing!
-
Very, very good! So effective. You make me feel everything Isaac is going thru like I am there in that bed and not him. Wow! And Rick! What a treasure he is knowing what to do - the holding of Isaac! The amazing knowledge that he had never been held! Wow! You also building the knowledge of the cult bit by bit and it's intriguing again and very enlightening. I don't know much but have read bits and pieces and it's realistic. Thank you for a really good read. You sure know how to do that!

Wow! This is such a real description of pain and anguish. I have felt a little of this - both the physical (the doctor pulling the bandages! Oh my! I have nearly fainted myself from that and the doc I had was kind, and the antiseptic that will "sting a little" - ooooh!) and the heart, the wanting to die and trying to end it all. OMG, this is such a good piece of writing! So real and so effective. I wanted to hold and to comfort Isaac and hit that stupid doctor. What did he have to be angry at Isaac for? He didn't understand anything. And how could he inflict more pain because of his own selfish anger? He made me so mad! But now more questions than ever as to the how and why and where. You are really good at building that. Excellent writing.
-
Wow! No reviews? What's going on here? This is such a well-written intriguing introduction that really makes one want to know all the answers to the many questions that are posed, and yet no one makes a comment? I am puzzled about that. Maybe everyone was too eager to read the next chapter to take the time to review. Thanks for the great start.

Chapter 6 Goodbye's Aren't Forever
Jaro_423 commented on zanoGreen's story chapter in Chapter 6 Goodbye's Aren't Forever
Wow. This was a lot in one chapter having both that painful parting that became understandable though really was a bummer. And then the re-union and the surprise of it and the joy of it. That could have been a whole nother chapter. Sorry it's finished when it seems hardly started, but it was good. Thank you. -
Well, that at least cleared the air and set them on the right track instead of double guessing each other and missing the point (sorry about that pun!) but looks like they finally got it! Goodbye Dallas! Why is Jeremy so keen to get there anyway? Sounds like he got stuck in a rut of what he planned and doesn't want to move from it even when he sees something so much better hit him in the face. Hope he's not an asshole about this! Great story! Keep it rolling!
-
Wow! You sure making things dramatic with now a tornado. Scary! And you putting the guys thru these experiences together and making them a little more cosy with each other like comfort me in this horrible experience! I like that! And they enjoying kissing. I like that too. Seems whatever they have to face now could be faced with them helping each other to get thru this. Great story. Keep it rolling, man! I like it! Just as well its Sat and no pressure - I can read and enjoy! Thanks!

Chapter 3 Long Kept Issues
Jaro_423 commented on zanoGreen's story chapter in Chapter 3 Long Kept Issues
Wow! Moving ahead fast and yet respectfully. The bit about Jeremy's brother and his guilt was a shocker and maybe could have been hinted at in a previous chapter. It was a good catalyst for the moment of comfort being needed which led to the first kiss, and for Jo it seems it may have been his very first man kiss so a bit more could have been explored there too. But for all this, I really am enjoying this story and looking forward to more. Thanks for writing. -
My comments on the last chapter were a little premature re your taking the story from both points of view since you did this chapter so well, always putting fresh stuff in the change of view so it wasn't just repeating details. Really well handled. It caught attention and added insight. I love the way the two of them are reacting to each other. You can see them clicking together so neatly already as though they were made for each other, and each one in his own way experiencing his own physical pain as a sort of cover and release for emotion that they don't want to deal with. Is this the man thing maybe of not wanting to show the weakness of emotion, but really that hides our real selves. Ah, you giving me so much to think about beyond just the story here, but also really involving me in the story. I love it. Yes, agree with other comments about the missing words and the need for editing/proof reading. How does one become a proof reader here? Would enjoy doing that myself.
-
It's great having the story told from both points of view but its a bit much having to repeat all the details. Is there maybe a way of doing this without having to go over every detail again as that is a bit tedious. Not sure how you would do that and get to the same place. It was really nice though seeing Jeremy from Jo's point of view as we only had up to then Jeremy's view of himself and Jo definitely had a better opinion of Jeremy than Jeremy had of Jeremy. An interesting start and looks like quite a diversion on Jeremy's journey to a new start. You made them both so likable!

Nice Guys Finish At Last
Jaro_423 commented on Randomness's story chapter in Nice Guys Finish At Last
Wow! I was so frustrated with Patrick and how he needed his friends to sort him out. And what incredible friends he had. They were the best ever. I failed to see Ben's story and was mad with him for being such a prick to Patrick, but then had you told Ben's story I would have thought Patrick was the prick. And then Jeff. He was really nice and he had another story too. I was sorry Patrick didn't get with him, until the final chapters told the real story of Patrick and Ben. Your story drew me in more and more. The circle of Ben's friends was so interesting too and so well done. It was a typical gathering of parents drawn together by their children and all so different. Well done for a very interesting and entertaining and realistic story. It gave hope for all us hopeless cases who have wasted long years of our lives in the wrong place. Ben's kids, especially Darrin, were so delightful too. I loved it. Thanks! I see you attracted some great author/readers too whose stories I have so enjoyed reading. Good job, man! I like the title of the last chapter too, by the way! -
Wow! I loved this story and it became one of those that you just can't put down. Life had to be put on hold for it. And thank you for such a fine ending too. So satisfying and rewarding for us romantics. Beautifully crafted and developed. Sad to be leaving Micah and David though. They got under my skin. I will be quite lost for a bit until I find another good story to get involved in. Thanks again!

Epilogue: Bright Lights
Jaro_423 commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Epilogue: Bright Lights
Very easy, enjoyable reading. I wasn't all that keen on trying another teen episode, but you did this well and kept me reading right to the end. So I have to say it was a good read. Thanks. I liked the English setting and nuance - so refreshing after so much American stuff. -
Chapter Eight: Because I Want You
Jaro_423 commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Eight: Because I Want You

Epilogues and New Beginnings
Jaro_423 commented on Mann Ramblings's story chapter in Epilogues and New Beginnings
Been sampling different authors here and have to say you definitely among the favorites! Great job! Your characterization is excellent, realistic & convincing and the story is full of great incidents/events/dramas that really take one places. Lots of emotional highs and lows, which is good. You do it so well. Plus, plus, plus you write such readable English in good sentences. I loved it all. Thanks. Hope you go on to use these characters again and tell more of their stories as there's still so much more to come. -
Thanks for a very entertaining and interesting read that was so beautifully romantic too. Had lots of really good elements. Loved it.

Oh Wow, it is allowing me to review at last. I tried at several points and it just would not let me open this review box. This has been one of the best stories I have read so far. It was deeply moving. The characters were so realistically and beautifully drawn. It was as though I knew them and identified with so much of what they were going through. And it was so informative too on so many aspects. Thank you for filling in the little asides on Canadian culture that would no doubt have completely overpassed me or left me dismissing it as irrelevant because I did not understand it. That was so considerate. Finally, the writing was excellent. There was a flow to it that was so easy to follow and that caught one up in the story without intruding and interrupting. Excellent! I hope to read a lot more that you have written. Thank you so much.

Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Jaro_423 commented on C James's story chapter in Something Borrowed, Something Blue
Just letting you know I am enjoying this having got this far. You making it into an interesting story with the whole shebang about Eric and all his nonsense; and I like the twist you putting on Eric still coming between Steve and Chris. That's really funny.
