  1. Your goose information is incorrect I hate to say. They did some DNA testing on goslings and geese of one mother and they found five different father's to one mother's, randy little buggers. They even found that sometimes male geese will mate together for years without realizing it . I'm kind of hoping for a goose to accidently wander on the road in Colarado, and Dimitri having a once in a lifetime soft heart, swerve to miss the goose and drive off a cliff to their deaths.
  2. Happy Birthday Myr!!! Hope you had a great day, and have many more over the year ahead! Your so popular, here in Canada we had a national holiday today to celebrate !!! Steve
  3. I see. I'm glad to see that your not planning on putting any of my nation's birds in harms way this time. Obviously you heeded my governments' strong warning about the innocent slaughter of poor Canada Geese. Or was it a highly specialized attack flock that left their calling card on you ?
  4. Afterall Graeme, it is all right here Just read the end of the story
  5. Has anyone noticed that as an Admin, CJ can go in an alter his posts without the little Edit thingy coming up without anyone knowing? Here is the original post that CJ made: Luckily I was able to hit the 'reply' button to his initial post, and now able to share with your all . I do believe we finally have the source of the story. At little too close to home don't you think? Steve
  6. Happy Birthday Graeme!!! Hopefully you get to spend the day with those that mean the most to you. Best wishes and here's hoping you have a great year ahead! Steve
  7. I'm going to go out on a limb here.... I predict that the next chapter is going to end with either Brandon or Chase being shot !!!!
  8. Now CJ, can't you see the tree among the forest? I suggested that Steve actually put forth the idea of a cliffhanger. I merely said that your wouldn't be satisfied with the degree of cliffhanger. Steve
  9. Be afraid, be very afraid !!! Actually that is a good point, the general himself is heading up to Telluride. I wonder what kind of entourage will be going with him as he now realizes that the guys have valuable information about the Australian detonation? So this means Dimitri and Mario could quite possibly going up against 20 bad ass bikers, some with former military experience, the guys who now all have shotguns, and the US Air Force led by a General. Oh, and don't forget the local sheriff's department which we can only hope is more competent than the Piedmont department. Speaking of fireworks Steve, maybe the next chapter should have the same warning
  10. I for one am extremely grateful for the breather after the last couple of chapters. I think if CJ had did another evil cliffhanger, or adrenalin inducing chapter I would have been spent. I have a feeling that CJ gives out more clues in chapters like this one. They are there, we just have to find them. Really liked the chat that Brandon and Chase in bed, it only reaffirmed their love for each others. As far as not being a cliffhanger, in usual CJ manner, he did have to include a cliff, the one he wants to drive the guys off of. Much to same fate as poor Blackheart . Great chapter CJ, I will re read it and see if there are some actual clues in it. I have a feeling that this chapter may have been the calm before the storm.
  11. I don't know if they would! I would see too much conflict. Imagine the conversation they would have: Steve: So I think we should make the readers think that we killed off Tyler, but we'll leave them hanging CJ: Ya, great idea, so what about strapping a suicide bomb on him in an airport? Steve: No I was thinking of not really killing him CJ: Well I was thinking of killing him and a couple of thousand innocent bystanders just for effect Steve: No we can't kill him CJ: Your evil, you never let me have fun Steve: Your a lunatic megalomaniac, you want to kill off everything good CJ: Maybe I should kill you off in the story too Steve: Oh just try goat, remember the pen is mightier than the sword CJ: Steve: Steve Note: And no, I don't have actually ways of seeing their PM's LOL
  12. I thought I'd bring this topic back up to the top of the forum since I saw CJ has actually updated the "stuff'" tab . I think I will bookmark this page, so when I'm really really really angry at him, it will be a good reminder of who the real CJ is, and what he does for all of us. Imagine if he never did post that first anthology?? Steve
  13. Now why would you start listening to your devoted readers now?? Wait, I forgot..... I'm still not talking to you over Gunter .
  14. Sure Kevin, point that out !! I really sometimes wonder if CJ reads the forums and then let's the direction go opposite of what we all think (I really know that he doesn't). But just in case, I hope the Jon, Eric, Chase, Brandon, Helen, and Barbara all die in a hail of bullets and J/S and Dimitri collect on their billions and their gold and retire to drinking margaritas in the sun in Paraguay . And hopefully the Americans are two busy trying to rebuild from the loss of LA and New York City to be really bothered with the two. Are you listening CJ????? Steve
  15. I guess we shouldn't forget, that Vlad was the one who actually put in the triggers, and had thought he had put them in to his advantage. It was actually Dimitri who re-programmed them so Vlad couldn't use them and J/S and him could. So what is really preventing Dimitri from giving J/S a false trigger code? After all, it was Dimitri who was using the phone when J/S told him to "Let The Music Play". I think the possibility of Dimitri holding all 3 codes is a possibility, and J/S has a dud code much like Vlad. Shhhhh!!! That is a matter of National Security How can you freely give out our plans to overtake the US. I may have to get Bondwriter to send some associates your way . As far as the fog, I do believe that when you are far enough up in the atmosphere, and a pressurized cabin is breached, the fog is actually due to the condensation of the oxygen in the cabin to the outside. CJ mentioned that the air pressure dropped by half and the temperature dropped by 40 degrees in under a second. This was would cause the fog, and also prove that not even the best trained Canada Goose could breath at that altitude. Steve
  16. Long Live The King :king: Long Live The King :king:
  17. Thank you very much CJ !!!! Although I am still disappointed with Gunter's death, I guess I will have to let me go knowing that in the end, he did save everyones lives, and by doing so they were able to convey the truth of J/S. The chapter's title is a bit of a mystery to me though, as really nobody died in this chapter. I knew everything was going to be alright when Chase sat in the right hand seat, and informed Brandon that he was staying. In a way, the chapter seems a bit anti climatic, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that the previous chapter had eight pages of discussion in three days . I don't think GA has had that response since the first three days you were gone to Europe and a certain forum popped up . Now for the most pressing question, since we all managed to squeeze 38 out of you on Thursday, do we get 39 on mon/Tues next week, or is it a 12 day wait? Steve
  18. So CJ hasn't posted the chapter as of yet, so my guess must have been wrong . I figure that possibly that my solution may take care of the immediate danger of the Sparrow missiles, but there is also the threats of the Stingers, the approaching F16's, and the fact that they are in a basically disabled airplane, with little to no chance of landing safely. Any other ideas that possibly can address any of these situations?
  19. I'll go with the simple answer then, there is more geese on one side than the other
  20. Okay CJ, you convinced me !! Oh great and mighty Shadowgod, would you please take your place upon the throne so CJ can release Chapter 38. Wait, what exactly is the definition of a throne???? Well let me help: Noun Singular throne Plural thrones throne (plural thrones) The ornate seat a King or Queen sits on for formal occasions, usually placed on a raised dais in the throne room. He approached the throne reverently. [*](colloquial) The lavatory or toilet. She's on the throne. [*](Biblical tradition) The third highest order of angel in Christian angelology, ranked above minions and below cherubim. [*](music) A type of stool used by drummers May I strongly suggest items 2, 3, or 4 ! Just think, if you put yourself on option number 4, you can jam with Instinct after they get out of their current pickle. Now, when I read your stories, their very angelic, so I guess you can take your place in #3. Lastly, could you force yourself to go to the bathroom, and then CJ will have no option but to post the next chapter.
  21. Okay, here is my guess.... Since the goat challenged us to come up with how they get out of the cliffhanger, I do believe I have the solution. They say the devil is in the details, so who better than the devil to write them in the details . Yes CJ has given us a fair bit of information. So much that it actually took around 2 to 3 hours of research on the internet to find what I was looking for. So in order to avoid having the Sparrow missiles hit the plane, we need the technobabble on what a Sparrow missiles is. First off is that as mentioned above, the Sparrow's guidance system is not heat seeking, as the pilot issued the words "Fox one". This is the brevity code for a missile that is semi-active radar guided or semi-active radar homing (SARH). The guidance system is what is going to determine the direction the missile is to go. In SARH basically, there is no radar equipment in the nose cone of the missile, it relies upon the radar from the launching plane, or launching vehicle (Sparrow's also used on Navy ships for surface to air combat). How essentially it works is the F15's radar begins bouncing radar off an object. Once the missile launches, it zones into the bounce coming back from the object. Technically accurate would be to say if the F15 could not bounce radar off the Bizjet, then the missiles wouldn't have anything to zone in on. So the Bizjet needs to get outside of the fighters envelope. The Bizjet is running on one port engine, at now 1000 feet above ground level, in mountainous terrain in Nevada. In order for any of the missiles to work, the F15's must maintain the illumination of the Bizjet. If the Bizjet continues to lose altitude, and or mountains come into play, then the missiles will have no target to home in on at all. CJ was right, there is no self destruct button, but with no target for the missile to hit if lost from the radar, the missile would eventually burn out of fuel. One interesting stat on a side note, in operation desert storm, the sparrow only had a 37% hit ratio. Although this is with full active, maneuverable jets, opposed to the disable Bizjet, still, 63% of missiles did not hit. I could go into all the references that I used here, but if anyone wants to further look into it, go back to the chapter, and search what was mentioned: The F15's AN/APG X-band pulsed-Doppler radar, the Sparrow AIM 7M. That should lead you to SARH and a lot of other stuff. So hopefully for all of us poor readers who had to suffer the will of CJ's cliffhanger this is the correct answer. If so, maybe we'll have chapter 38 by the weekend, if not, mon/tues is only five days away . Steve
  22. Well I'm back, and first want to apologize for my outburst. Needless to say this chapter and this story has been captivating and frustrating at the same time. Second thing I want to do is to thank CJ for sharing this story with us. I think few of us can really criticize the way the story has developed and become something that we all wait for every week . I just finished reading Chapter 37 once again, and made some notes, but I'll make some guesses later. What I want to really comment on is how CJ made this chapter very realistic, and pulled on my emotions and I'm sure others. One of the most powerful paragraphs and brought back not so good memories and exposed emotions was: I believe CJ used the memories we all felt when we heard about or saw 9-11 to evoke the feelings we had at that time. Maybe 'used' isn't a good word, but it built the tension to the story ten fold. One other paragraph really stood out: Wow. Here's the guy that all of us fell in love with since the beginning of the story, realizing that he has to make the ultimate sacrifice for his new 'family', and he is professing his love for Chase. This hit me like a ton of bricks. Before I take a wild guess, I want to thank CJ once again for this amazing chapter. Steve
  23. He'd probably eat it before you got him over the fire
  24. Okay, this may not help mounting CJ over any fireplace, but after reading LTMP 37.... dig a large pit fill said pit with wood place a y shaped branch at each end of pit light pit with kerosene or any other flammable substance available take a pointy six foot stick and ram it into CJ's mouth and have it come out the other end place each end of stick or now known as spit on each of the y shaped branches slowly rotate until outer flesh is well down, inner meat should vary from medium, to medium rare, to rare select you slice of meat and bon appetite
