Realistically Ever After

I loved the realistic ending. I never suspected the Dragon was the culprit, so that caught me by surprise. I think Dorothy is beginning to defrost, but it's too late to save her marriage to Burnham. Realistic, indeed. I hope Dave and Ryan get to go on that 37th date, then 38th, 39th... etc Great story! I realistically enjoyed it -

I'm not sure what kind of grapes these were. We had two neighbors who grew grape vines. The ones right next door were vibrant purple and made a jelly that was dark purple and had a rich grape flavor. The ones across the street were a lighter purple and made a light purple jelly with a more subtle flavor. It was soooo goood.

My mom always made homemade jelly when I was a kid, from berries we'd go pick or grapes from our neighbors' vines. My absolute favorite was grape jelly made from our neighbors across the street's grapevines. Sadly, the neighbors have both passed and the vines are long gone, so the jelly is a distant memory now. The closest I've come to tasting something similar was when I visited Cole a couple of years ago. He made grape jelly that was very similar to my old favorite

I cringed at the spiderwebs in Dave's mouth and at the Chicken Little reference. This is great story-telling. On to the next chapter!

I did a whole lot of nothin' today. I needed the day to process and decompress from the stress of yesterday. I'm much calmer about the furlough now and have a plan in place to keep myself occupied. I'm going to treat Mon-Fri like a regular workweek and maintain the hours I'm used to working. I'll choose a project per day and complete it during my normal work hours. This way I'll have a routine in place and feel like I'm accomplishing something. My first project on Monday will be organizing and deep cleaning the kitchen.

You have a knack for making the reader think one thing, and then twisting it on its head. So I'm hoping this is the case with David. I'm so glad I don't have to wait for the next chapter!

I'm really enjoying this story! Poor Ryan and Dave finally find each other, only to have Ryan disappear! I hope they get their own Happily Ever After. Love it!

I have some time off accrued that I'll use, then I'll get unemployment.

Well, I received some bad news today. I'm being put on furlough. They don't feel there's enough work for all of us, and I have the least seniority, so bye bye me.

Several insurance companies here are covering COVID related testing and treatment in full until the end of May.
