Yes, it is heartbreaking to see Galen as a shell of himself. There's lots of pain to go around, that's for sure. Liam didn't bring Galen to the farm lightly... he's not pawning him off. He's at the end of his rope. Caregiver burnout is a very real thing and it's not pretty to see when they reach the breaking point. He did what he thought was in Galen's best interest. Thanks so much for your comments and for reading.

Yes, I was very sad when Loras died, too. I hated that they broke him first.

I exhaled sharply in frustration. I was exhausted, and anything preventing me from being home as soon as possible put me in an even worse mood than I was already in. “There’s a gas station a few miles from here. Stop there so I can drive.” “Yeah, sure. Fine.”

I once read that a good story needs conflict. Then add conflict to the conflict. Then more conflict, and eventually, resolve the conflicts. You raise some valid points. Those questions will be answered... eventually Thanks again for all the comments. It was great reliving the story by reading them.

Ethan, Galen, Josh... they all have their issues, that's for sure. This was a huge step for Josh, since he's always repressed his feelings instead of letting them out. We'll see what the result is. Thanks for your comments!
