I highly recommend all the stories in this series. Viv's writing style drew me in immediately, and had me binge-reading the whole series in one night. Too bad she's not on the site anymore, because I'd love to read more by her.
The wishes and dreams of youth are very different from those of adulthood, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. I know how you feel, though. Sometimes those dreams become pangs of regret. Nice job, Imoline.
These just keep getting better and better. "Their touch defines our affection..." is caviar on an amuse bouche designed to whet our palate. We need the bitter to offset the sweet, as long as it doesn't overtake the dish. Nice job, yet again.
You've written a very relatable poem. I like the use of repetition of the first two lines. This has an almost lyrical quality to it. I could see this being sung as a song. Nice job, Imoline. Congrats on your first posting!
You are quite right. I did make it sound that way. I don't want to say much more for fear of giving away spoilers, but I think you'll get some answers in the next chapter. Thanks for the great discussion. You make some valid points.
Thanks so much for your comments, Gary. I'm glad the hospital scene resonated with you. I think you have pretty good insight as to what's going on. We'll see what happens...
I guess I don't see it as Liam pawning Galen off so much as asking for help. There's still a lot of story to go, so we'll see what Liam's actions are in the future. I will say that he's not out of the picture. Everyone handles stress differently. I'm sorry you had no help when you were taking care of your parents, and I commend you for doing so. I understand exactly how difficult it is. Thank you for your thoughts.
Damn, Parker... this is your best one yet! Oops, I mean, Chef I love it from the simple beginning. "Again" the word is so loaded with meaning in this context. My favorite line is "mirrored madness". Very well done, my friend. I think I'm going to go take a cold shower now....
Thanks, Wayne. Sorry for the late reply, but I just noticed your comment. I wanted to explore how different people who experienced the same tragic circumstances react differently. I'm glad that came through. Thanks so much for reading.
Thanks for reading! I'm happy to finally be making some progress with this story The next chapter won't be posted quite as quickly, but it is in progress.
