Sometimes I find it helps to write using pen and paper vs. the computer. I also try to pick one story to work on at a time. Too many ideas can become overwhelming and it looks like you have a ton of them. I can relate to depression meds not working. They don't work for me, either. I had one med that worked amazing for me, for I developed an allergy to it. Major to you.

I can totally relate, Renee. I have a ton of ideas too, and find it difficult to pick one and concentrate on it. I have attention issues, so on a good day I find it hard to focus on one task. I hope your trip helps you work things out.

I'm not sure, actually. Draught, draft, or dray are all terms used for heavy, working horses like these. From my understanding it's from Old English 'dragan' - to pull or haul, and the Danish equivalent is 'drage' meaning 'to draw'.

Spruce Meadows is a world class show jumping facility in Calgary. They hold international competitions, including one of the Rolex Grand Slam competitions and the richest Grand Prix in the world.

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. They've really made my day I appreciate all the pictures, cakes, and well wishes. This site and the people on it mean the world to me. I just got back from having iced cocoa and cake and splurged and bought some gourmet chocolates to enjoy. Tomorrow I'm on to phase two of my vacation and travel to my BFFs. So there will be even more cake and celebrating there I'm very blessed to be so spoiled. lol

Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes! It's been great so far with an early celebration with Lisa and Defiance yesterday. Today I'll be relaxing with my friend (trying not to melt in 90 degree F heat) and going out for tea and cake. @northie thanks for the shiny (now I'll go nab the real thing... )

Me too. I saw the press conference when he talked about it and he was in tears, understandably so. Eric is a prime example of why we give people second (and third, and fourth) chances. The Candadian Equestrian Federation knew what they were doing, and the partnership between Eric and Hickstead is the result.

How could I forget Hickstead? Yes, he was phenomenal. He could jump the moon if Eric asked him to. His loss was such a tragedy.

Thanks Like I said, I love talking about the competitions. My favorite are the derbys. Oh, you gave me a good idea for the question of the day! Question of the day: Who's your all-time favorite show jumper? It's so hard for me to choose. I love Big Ben, Milton, Gem Twist. Mario Delaurier's Boxcar Willie was also a horse I really liked, along with Lisa Carlen's Kahlua. How he cleared those jumps dangling his legs the way he did is amazing.
