Thanks, Wayne. I'm so sorry for the late reply. Somehow I missed a bunch and am replying now. I think you summed it up perfectly. Nick and Josie are both culpable for their actions. It's a shame that their friends couldn't see that. They both have good lives now, so can hopefully move past the hurt and enjoy the future. Thanks again for the great review.

Sorry for replying so late. I'm not sure how I missed replying to all these reviews. I'm glad you liked the story. It is sad that Nick's friends all turned against him. This is something I've both experienced and witnessed, and it hurts like hell. Nick has James now and I think after the reunion, he will be able to close the previous chapter of his life and move on. Great story, KC. This had all the makings of a classic fairytale. I'm glad that the queen met her end by the creatures she sought to end her son's life. I loved the twist of good born out of evil. Now I want to read more Halloween stories...lol

I work with adults with developmental disabilities, so Eddie really pulls at my heartstrings. He's such a gentle soul and the thought of what MD did to him turns my stomach whenever I think about it. Bryan's anguish really comes through, and you're realistically portraying the long recovery period. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a good outcome. I want an HEA where Wyatt and Bryan get married and they offer Eddie a choice between staying in his group home or living with them. He seems to get along really well with Sarah too, so it's nice to see that budding friendship. Another great chapter.

Ding dong the bitch is dead... I can't say I'm sorry to see her go. I hope Wyatt makes a full recovery and Eddie gets help to deal with the abuse he suffered at MD's hands. I've been wondering about Bryan's father's accident and if it was truly an 'accident' or more of MD's handiwork. Anyway...great chapter. I look forward to the next chapter.

I really enjoyed this. The beginning when he groped the dog was hysterical. I felt bad for James, being dragged to a party when he wasn't feeling well. It was sweet of Farris to have everything done, even if he did wind James up about it. I'm usually good at guessing what happens in stories, but I didn't see the proposal coming. Suddenly, Farris' actions made a lot more sense! Very sweet story.

GAH! I'm on pins and needles! I wanted to cheer for Eddie when he realized how wrong his mother's been. I can just picture him ripping up the ring from the floor and carrying Wyatt to his brother. I can also picture the look on MD's face when that happens... I can't wait for the next chapter!

Damn, Addy. What a powerful chapter. After the Prologue, I was envisioning a Taken-esque type story, where Danny had been kidnapped and held for ransom or something. You blew that out of the water with the first paragraph. I could really feel Morgan's pain at Danny's loss. I have a feeling you are going to take us on one hell of a journey. I'll get my tissues ready, because I sure as heck need them already after all the emotion from this chapter. Great job. You're really growing as a writer.

Great start, Addy. Too bad it took losing Danny to make Morgan realize what's really important in his life. Sometimes saying 'no' is the best thing to do. I wouldn't know, though...I have a horrible time saying no to people. lol I look forward to seeing where this story goes.
