  1. Thanks I've had a sore throat all week and haven't been feeling well. Not enough for me to stay home, but enough to make me feel a bit worn down. So of course, it picks today to hit. It's not full-fledged ebola or *gasp* manflu, but more a sinus thing. If I don't feel well this afternoon I'm going to leave early. I probably will anyway so I miss the worst of the snow.
  2. I have to do a training at work all morning so what happens? I have laryngitis. So I feel sorry for everyone who has to listen to my raspy, croaky voice today. It's also another sucky weather day. We're supposed to get 5-8" of snow. But at least it's only snow and not a snow/ice/rain mix. According to the weatherman, this is the first snow in February that's only snow! On a positive note... the bathroom reno starts today!
  3. *glides by and nabs the shiny*

    Ace

Thanks so much I'd love to see more stories written about aces and featuring them as characters. I'll have to check out Nemesis
  5. OMG That would have been my favorite place as a kid.
  6. Page 500! @Timothy M. is that an interesting number?
  7. Yeah I've ridden gaited horses before, but not the tolt. There's a farm that raises Icelandics near one of my BFFs. She went to a show they held there once and took some video. It was quite different from the hunter/jumper and dressage shows I used to compete in.
  8. And take some pics of Falkor...
  9. Awww what a darling horse
  10. OMG I don't know how Norwegians are with the fjord horses, but here, if anyone calls a fjord horse a 'pony', the people who own them flip out. Even though they're pony size. 🙄 Icelandics are awesome too. I've never ridden one though.
  11. I spent a summer working with Norwegian Fjord horses. They were a lot of fun, especially to drive.
  12. There's no 'maybe' about it.
  13. Well here it's about 15 Fahrenheit. I'll happily take the 15 Celsius. 😛

Guess the cat knows that section of the garden is already protected Maybe your little creature is kin to Hagan. Thanks for reading.
  15. Yum! Clam chowdah
  16. Well since it never resurfaced, I'm assuming it blew out of the car. I did have a scary incident with a bug in my hair once... I was chatting with friends in the parking lot of a restaurant after we'd met for lunch. What I thought was a bee was buzzing around my friend's head so I said 'see ya later!" and got the eff out of there. I am absolutely terrified of bees. Well on the way home, I put my hand in my hair and felt a bug... OMFG It's a miracle I didn't crash into anything! It turned out to be a June bug, but still.
  17. I've had that happen... on the thruway of all places for a huge brown spider to crawl out from my side window O.O Driver's side window no less. How I didn't smash into anyone is a minor miracle. I opened the window and I'm pretty sure it blew away. Talk about a heart attack. And that wasn't even an Australian monster spider!
  18. Umm... no. 😛
  19. I still have power too. Sounds like we have the same weather. They've extended the wind warning and we're getting intermittent white-outs too. Work has power, so I went in, but a little late. There's tons of closures, so little traffic, which was nice.
  20. I'd get a second opinion. I would not want someone like that operating on me or any of my loved ones.
  21. You can file that under "things I never wanted to know"
  22. With black stripes, Bumble B? 🐝
  23. I understand your inner dialogue quite well. I have the same arguments with myself when I have to do something I don't necessarily want to. Like grocery shopping. I usually tell myself "There is absolutely no reason not to go, so just go!". Most of the time that works.
