I can't imagine it's the same driver. The thought never occurred to me. That'd be a heck of a coincidence! Good idea about writing Aaron's story. I really like him.

Awww...I'm sorry you've been having a rough time. I completely understand about wanting a distraction. I'm glad my story provided what you needed. The prompt tells the story of how Aaron and Sam met. It's one of my favorite prompt responses to date. Thank you so much for all the reading and for all the reviews. Seeing all the reviews for AL really made my day.

It was a very difficult chapter to write. It's funny, but I think I get even more emotional when I revisit the story now. Thanks for the review. I hope the Epilogue makes up for this chapter.

Great chapter. It's good that Eric retreated back to the farm. It seems he's thinking of it as 'home'. Redhead's reaction seems a bit over the top. I can understand a few punches to make his point, but pissing on him shows the workings of a very disturbed mind. I have a feeling his 'relationship' with Maddie may be based more in his head than in reality. I wonder if Eric will trust Eustace enough to tell him what really happened? Like the other reviewers, I'm really enjoying how their relationship is building. Oh, and you are quite the tease...I thought we were going to get to meet the lifeguard after that introduction.

Great chapter. We got a clearer sense of who the Whitley family is, and got to know Toby a little better. I have a feeling that Toby is a good guy, but you never know. Maybe the comment about Eric's shirt meant that he wanted to see Eric without his shirt, too... The Fourth of July will be very interesting, I've no doubt.

I've read some of Lilansui's stories and have really enjoyed them. I honestly don't remember if I read this one or not - it sounds familiar - but I will definitely check it out! I really like her writing. -

I really enjoyed this story. It was a nice, feel-good story that was a nice contrast to some of the darker stories I've been reading lately.

Good for Reece for standing up to his mom, but I'm sure it hurt just the same. I'm glad the guys worked through their issues.

I think Dave is being overly sensitive about Reece's reluctance to talk to his mother. It's not the same situation as with his ex, since Reece is out to his family. Heck, Dave even met his family and knows what peaches they are. On the other hand, we are not always rational when it comes to love. Hopefully they can get through this rough patch. Oh, and I loved the scene in the grocery store.

Great chapter I completely understand Reece's insistence that he pay his way. It was funny how they surprised Josh again. I can only imagine what Reece's mom has to say on the subject. I'd have been hitting the ignore button, too.

As soon as Jeff told him he had to move, I figured he'd be moving in with Dave... I hope it works out ok for them.

Poor Dave. I'm surprised he moved so quickly with Reece after being betrayed like that. I guess he realized that standing up to his family wouldn't be a problem for Reece. Plus there's Josh...I have to echo the other reviewers. Josh is pretty damn awesome.

I was wondering about Dave's past. Reece's too. Is this Reece's first relationship? I loved how they surprised Josh with their relationship. I'm curious about what happened to Dave. One way to find out! lol

He vanquished the eight-legged hell spawn...it's definitely true love! lol They already feel like a old married couple. I'm going to be checking my towels for spiders every time I shower now... lol

Things are moving fast, but it feels right for them. They seem to communicate well and definitely have chemistry... Hopefully it will work out in the long-term.

Great start I guess Josh knew what he was doing when he introduced these two. Or I suppose we'll find out at dinner...lol I'm glad that Reece at least has decent cousins. The rest of the family leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm wondering if there really are Andersons in Andersonville... I think Eustace isn't as clueless about Eric's plight as we might think. This seems like a great place for Eric to settle down for a bit and learn about kindness and the good in the world. I can see him occupying one of Eustace's son's former bedrooms. Hopefully he'll stick around for a bit instead of high tailing it out of there after only a week.
