Valkyrie

It will be a small gathering at my mom's house this year. Just six of us. On the menu is turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, loaded cauliflower (like loaded baked potatoes, but with cauli instead), salad, and cranberry relish. Dessert is chocolate pie and apple pie. I'm full already...lol Happy Thanksgiving!

It's nice to see a story from you again! I loved this. Apparently the werewolf within didn't want the psychic to reveal his secret. I feel bad for his friends who will have to kill him and then start the cycle anew. Nice job.

Wow...what a great story. I love stories of redemption and second chances for flawed characters. I felt David's sincerity and Rob's love. When Rob broke down after they made love and said "they hurt me", it was like a punch in the gut. He carried around that hurt for so long. I hope they both find the healing they need in each other and live a long, happy life together. Some things are worth taking a second chance on.

I think you have a good outline for a much longer story. I was drawn in and want to 'see' the relationship the two men had growing up and how it developed into more. The emptiness and loneliness the narrator is experiencing came through very clear. I'm not sure if Braden simply left or passed away...the ending is a bit unclear on that. I would infer from the letter that he left, but the last paragraph states it was the last thing he had ever written. Nice prompt. I hope you write more.

It's been a while since I've posted anything, so I wanted to give an update regarding my writing. I had a long bout of writer's block, which finally seems to be over. I've had a lot of ideas lately, which is a good thing. Now I just hope I'll be able to write them all! I have three ideas for upcoming anthologies - one of which has been written and beta read. I've started a second anthology story and have jotted down some notes for a third. I have an idea for the holiday story contest, which is still in the fleshing out stage. I've been working a little bit on Chapter 16 of "The Hollow Hills", but it's been hard to concentrate on it when I have so many other ideas bouncing around. I apologize to those who follow THH, but I want to make sure I stay true to the story and put out the best chapter possible. Fingers crossed it will be soon, but I never know which voice in my head will be yelling at me the loudest.

Slow steps of progress here. Eric dreaming of comfort instead of being beaten. Eustace showing him compassion. I'm liking the progression of the story so far.

Great chapter! I wondered what was going to happen when Jenson went away on his mission, but now Merrick is going with him... The tension between these two is so hot. I wonder what's holding Jensen back? It's not Merrick's age and he's said how he feels about him, but he 'can't'. Maybe he has an agreement or pact with Merrick's parents about staying away from him...I look forward to what's next!
