The family discussions are as fascinating and educational as ever. There is such strong familial support that is non-judgmental.

I find the psychological references very telling - seems the doctor is more understanding and looking at the whole picture than Mr. Steuer is for sure. I'm getting the opinion that the judge is about full of the prurient stuff.

The imagery is so experiential! My tinnitus is also a measure of my sugar level (I am diabetic) - the loudness indicates a rise in my glucose level! Your description: reverberating in the vaulted ceilings of my brain, is so aurally rich to me! I want to turn the volume down but the reverberation keeps echoing. I think the judge has finally gotten his fill of the intrusive questions. The questions of having charge account in her own name seem unrealistic. Were women allowed to have their own charge accounts in 1921?

Thanks for posting another chapter! Too long for my taste between postings, but that's because you write such an intriguing story! My impatience is showing, lol! A friend of mine used to say that from a gay's point of view, there are those who you know are gay, those you know who are definitely not, and those you wish were! I believe this is how Robbie views Rory: Rory may well have effeminate characteristics, but those don't define his sexuality. Perhaps he doesn't even fully know the answer to that yet either. I can see that Robbie and Rory can form a lifelong best friendship, each respecting the other. Maturity for both will help settle that. I do hope Robbie can get some goods on Don! I don't think Sue is totally naive of Don's behavior or simply doesn't care any more. Please publish again soon...!!!

Beautifully written. We need more mentors of young people struggling to find and live their truth - especially since certain groups of people in power are doing all they can to isolate and denigrate those whom they do not understand or accept!

I love the conversation around the table as it shows what a close-knit family they are.

Seth's web of chaos continues to grow! He's discovered he likes the big "D" and has decided he can't be used if he is willing (something about not being able to rape the willing), but he has a lot to learn. He may be smart intellectually, but his emotional maturity is still quite naive. Lots of teenage angst, confusion and real problems. What's next? If @weinerdog's prediction comes true about Craig causing a scene, what a load of drama that will be!

Blake is in a real mess as far as family is concerned. I think he is mistaken to a point about Amber's family. They may not want him permanently, but they haven't thrown him out either. He is the one who has refused food. He hasn't opened to them. Seth is good for him, but he has his own set of family problems. Can't wait to see where this goes.
