Chapter 5 - Crashing at Taz's
pvtguy commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 5 - Crashing at Taz's
I really like the relationship between Luke and his dad. It is open and accepting and based on lots of love! Who truly knows what his dad is needing in an adult relationship? Let's see how this goes... -
Chapter 4 - You Have Nothing to Apologise For
pvtguy commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 4 - You Have Nothing to Apologise For
Great description of anxiety in action in even a small group! I can totally understand, though I'm not as bad when I know most of the people. I just hate to be in groups where I don't know at least some people. -
Chapter 1 - The First One
pvtguy commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 1 - The First One
I was treated by a doctor for a few years for depression and other issues - like skipping heartbeats - among others. He even told me that I might have two or so years left to live. Finally changed doctors who, after tests the first doctor never did, found out all my issues stemmed from an underactive thyroid which was causing all the symptoms I had been experiencing. It took 9 months to get the numbers back to the normal range, but I felt wonderful. That was 30 years ago and I'm so glad I changed doctors. I have been with my current primary for nearly 20 years now and could not ask for a better person or physician. I do hope Luke can find a doctor who can truly help him! -
I love seeing how quickly Alec seems to be developing! His anxiety level seem to be balancing out. Now he is going to have to deal with his mother and be a support for his dad. Great story!

You certainly don't disappoint with the quality of your writing, Carlos. Each story is not only entertaining, but also very educational. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

So glad you published this chapter...I was getting antsy awaiting it! You do such a great job of description that I feel like I am in the scene as an observer and almost a participant! I have loved the progression of this story from the first sentence of chapter 1 of Never Walk Alone! I understand it is cold there...and here in Florida, we're having very warm weather (upper 90's F) with high humidity. Still, I wouldn't trade for the cold weather - still hate it!

Addy loves to keep family together when possible, or at least keep tabs on them. I have "Addies" in my own family. Yet, the younger ones don't feel the same familial links - more just their own nuclear families. Family reunions don't seem as prevalent these days...much like the lack of them in Addy's family.

It is so good to see Alec challenging the negative thoughts and allowing himself to enjoy the positive. He is much stronger than he allows himself to believe and that is showing more and more. Finn, too, is relaxing more and more around Alec. Now on to Alec's adventure in moving...

Chapter 158 Blown & Tossed by the Wind
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 158 Blown & Tossed by the Wind
That has also been on my mind: Did Don dip into Robbie's money to purchase his "yacht"? Robbie really needs legal representation. Don't know how he could obtain that at this point, but definitely needed. -
It's amazing how quickly growth takes place when one deals with reality and not the false perceptions created by either one's self-talk or the acceptance of others' negative comments. Alec is finally realizing how capable he is. Great story...now looking forward to the next installment!

Chapter 11 - One Day at a Time
pvtguy commented on James Matthews's story chapter in Chapter 11 - One Day at a Time
All good things must come to an end...and I hate it! I do hope there might be a future tale about Puppy again. He' such a magnetic character - he draws in life even through his growing pains. Thank you James Matthews for sharing your talent with us through this story! -
Chapter 10 - It's Got to Stop

I, too, am happy to see you back! I missed Puppy! and now...moving forward... -
Chapter 158 Blown & Tossed by the Wind
pvtguy commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 158 Blown & Tossed by the Wind
Will Robbie call Jo? It's time for her to advocate for him once again! She's the only one right now who can truly match his bull-headedness. -
Addy keeps on going with her life always caring for others even as her circle of relatives keeps thinning out due to the circle of life. So well-written. This chapter especially evoked a strong emotional response from me. Tony

Looks like the slow death of a town...saw it happen in the town I grew up in.

There is a big difference in connecting via computer and living in the same space daily. I don't foresee difficulty at this point and they have been offered separate rooms when and if that becomes necessary. I do believe that they will choose to stay together for quite a while until dating comes into play...

Written with the usual high quality that is standard for Carlos Hazday! This story will keep you intrigued, happy, sad, angry, entertained, involved - and above all, admiring the core values that sustain this series: loyalty, love, strong values, and commitment to making the world around them better whenever and however they can. Part of a must read series!

While lighter in tone, this chapter was much needed especially for the children. They seem to have bonded quickly and it was no surprise that they wanted to bunk together. The real journey now begins as they become a family of six. Thanks for posting...I was getting antsy awaiting it!

Although I hate to see this volume come to an end, you did it perfectly! The CJ world certainly has captured the hearts and minds of many as seen by the comments after each chapter. Your talent in story-telling is most definitely appreciated! Until next posting, take care! Tony F

A man I met when I was 18 and he was 90 said once that the older you get, the closer you get to the front of the line...more like it gets lonely at the top when friends and family you've known for so long have passed on and you are getting to be one of the few in your age group. The sentiment of the younger cousins in regards to a reunion could well have been echoed in my own family. We don't see one another any more at all, the few of us older ones left. And thus is the circle of life...if I may borrow a famous line....

Epilogue only when the next volume is ready to publish the next week! Otherwise, keep publishing this volume!!!! I don't like waiting a long time between publishing these wonderful stories. I miss the family!!!

Perhaps Pat's accident and physical condition after allowed the buried feelings to finally surface in Addy. William brought out the emotional side of Addy, or rather, allowed her to finally bring them to the surface. Before, she was duty driven. After, she was living a much fuller life.

This may have been a "softer" read but it was excellent. Thanks, Carlos!
