    Chapter 10

I agree that the lawyer connection should be investigated. I'm glad the family situation has been resolved: adopted children, for the most part, are very much wanted and loved by the parents. Giving birth does not always create warm and unconditional love of a child. Now on to further developments!

    Chapter 9

Another well-done chapter! You are correct in saying that any final decision in therapy is the client's: After all, the purpose of therapy is to assist the client to live a more self-controlled life. The therapist points out various options and potential consequences, always asking the client what they think of these alternatives but leaving decisions to the client and then following up with reflection post action. I am eager to see the discussion with the parents too!

    Boss Nanny

An absolutely delightful story, wonderfully written, compelling plot, relatable characters, and one which will keep you riveted to each chapter. Other reviews expand the synopsis, so I won't. Just know that you're in for a treat.
  4. A wonderful wrap to the story. While I would have totally enjoyed a chapter by chapter version of each of the events with Mike and the ex-in(out)-laws, this was a fitting way to tie all the loose ends up. I still hope for a volume 2 one day... Tony

    Chapter 8

As a counselor for many years, I have met families who made adoption a topic of normal discussion within the family. The children knew they were adopted but loved immensely. I also met a few families where the adoption was kept a secret in the belief that it would benefit the kids by not wondering why they were "given up". I know there are problems created by this situation as is evidenced by Kyle and Megan's parents. Up to this point, Kyle and Megan felt they had a wonderful upbringing. Now they'll have to work through all this as will the parents. I would assume they did not know the full background of the kids other than they were infants and available for adoption. As one who has gone through the adoption process only to be rejected in the end because the mother of my child (yes, ex-wife) failed to tell me that she did not want to adopt - she lied all the way to the final interview in telling me and the social worker that she was in favor of adopting - but when finally interviewed individually, she told the social worker she did not want to adopt. Thus, the process ended quite quickly. That was the beginning of the downfall of the marriage. Truth came out later that she didn't want the responsibilities of motherhood either and was quite eager to give me full custody of our son. I'm not sorry about that decision!

    Chapter 8

Kyle and Megan's parents "bought" them because they wanted to adopt and provide children a home. Do you think they even know about the beginnings? It is possible the doctor lied to them about the origins of the children too!

    Chapter 8

Such an intense chapter, though less so than the last one, but only by a small degree! I totally get Kim's reluctance at this point, but I do hope she is able to meet Megan and see a positive outcome to a very negative situation. And I do hope Jett can find out more about the 'wonderful' doctor - he should have been treated to the same treatment in terms of the rapes as his victims!

    Fever Dreams

If ever I was questioning what this whole "organization" is, I am now totally confounded. That's the work of good writing. Can't wait to see where this leads!

Can't add anything new that hasn't already been said...Just love your writing! So talented! I look forward to each chapter you post! Tony

    Chapter 7

That Kim is managing to the best of her ability at this point is testimony that life can continue after the visit to hell, though hell will always be there. Kim is showing that even though she is haunted by the past and is reminded of it via her visits, she does choose a path forward one step at a time. I look forward to further development of this story. Great job!
  11. This was a wonderful chapter (as are all of them!) but this one is especially poignant. Thanks for Matt's innate forensic mind and his ability to research a problem! I still don't want the story to end just yet!
  12. As Matt is now legally Aiden's father, another child would be a sibling. But only legally. However, I do believe we need a marriage and another adoption formality for Seamus! That could be a chapter or two in itself, hint, hint....
  13. I won't be happy until I know for certain there will be a sequel! This is too great of a story!

    Chapter 6

I love the Andersons! (The name evokes "Father Knows Best" -- I know, I'm old!) In any case, I love how this story is progressing - I'm glad things are going slowly and deepening into a solid relationship before they really know one another. It's a welcome change from so many other instant love stories!

It's so good to see anything written by you again! You are so talented and your stories are entertaining, educational, affirming, and so well crafted! And, of course, a trip to Camp is always needed! Tony
  16. I really am wondering what Sue is really up to. Methinks her strength is going to show itself rather soon!

    Chapter 5

So we move a little closer to a deeper understanding of the three main characters, though Kim is still quite the mystery. I look forward to the development of this story! Great job.

    Chapter 5

This is so unfortunately typical: parents do not discuss death with kids for a variety of reasons. Kids get confused and don't know what all is happening around them. There were such great opportunities to teach, learn, and share within the family. As presented, Mom was the one who had the most trouble dealing with the situation - Dad seems to be a bit more reasonable, but Mom is the stronger controller, at least in my opinion.

    Chapter 4

Excellent chapter: you have successfully upped the intrigue about Kim.

    Chapter 2

Excellent writing! Looking forward to the development of this story. It wouldn't be good if there were no conflicts and hurdles to cross.

    Chapter 4

I really like the approach of telling this story through the eyes of a child.

    Sweetest gift

Wonderful chapter ending in a "WTF?".... Thanks for sharing such a wonderful talent with us through this story. I will miss it and hope that there will be a volume 2 at some point - I hate to leave behind such wonderful characters.
  23. You can't leave us at this point!! I hope Book 4 is soon to be posted! Thanks for this series!

    Lost and found

Matt is growing up quite well and quite quickly. He was holding himself back more than anything. I do hope you can find it in you to break whatever failed in past sequels (if anything) and find it in you to find a continuation of this story. It has been a wonderful journey!

    Chapter 3

This reminds me of my childhood and learning about how my grandparents ended up there working in coal mines. My parents never owned a car - we walked or sometimes took a taxi to cross town. We did have fairly good bus service too for a population around 20,000. Life for the majority of men was either in the mines or the various factories. Thanks for evoking those memories!
