Carols, so far i like the plot of the story. I may have an issue with Mahi and Vasili's blasé attitude towards cheating on Mahi's mate though (and does Vasili have a mate since he has kids?) I understand that Mahi would have felt he had to take a wife to produce pups and that he is probably actually gay, but he said he loves his mate right? That makes the cheating strange for me. I would think that loyalty to your mate would be pretty important to the strength of your pack, because if you can't be loyal to your own mate who can you be loyal to? To me, they should at least have some sort of moral struggle about straying from their mates and be trying to stay away from each other, but they seem to revel in what they are doing. Mahi says that loyalty to his pack is why they can't be together, does that not include loyalty to a mate who hasn't seem to have done anything to cause that kind of disloyalty? Heck she encourages the friendship because her husband is happy when he visits his friend and she wants that friend to come to visit soon. Instead of feeling bad that he is doing this to her, they seem to think its funny that she doesn't have a clue. Sorry, i think a lot of my reaction this is my very strong personal issues with cheating. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the "modern day werewolves" plot and am curious to see what the french connection is all about. If I can ignore the cheating aspect (or if their cheating doesn't play a big role in the plot) then I could really enjoy the story.

Another beautiful chapter Gary! This story has quickly become one of my favorites. You did an excellent job conveying Kendal's pain as well as his determination to move on. Maybe he will go on a date with his assistant? Although that might make work weird. He does need to go out on at least one date with someone though. I think it will be good for him to put himself out there so his whole life isn't tied to Michael. I also think it would good for Michael to see Kendall out with someone else and have to analyze his feelings about that. I think he will be surprised what he finds out about himself. I will however trust you to know your guys better than anyone and know this story will go where it's supposed to. And Michael hates Timmy Ho's? Say it ain't so! Lol.

Thank goodness Matt decided to call the police first. I had a brief moment of worry that the dispatcher wouldn't believe him. Although I didn't want Avery hurt, it was good that the police saw daddy dearest hurting Avery. There is no way he can talk his way out of this or try to explain it away. I wonder what's going to happen when William shows up? He may see the cops at the house and just bolt. At least now Avery can start the slow healing process now that he is out of that hell. It's probably a blessing that he passed out. His injuries must be excruciating. Great chapter! Looking forward to tomorrow's installment.

Oh no!! I hope Matt thought to bring back up! Damn, I have a love/hate relationship with cliffhangers. We're getting to the good stuff now though, namely Avery being rescued from this life and his dad hopefullly being caned and then hung in the public square. No wait...he AND William should publicly exposed for being such evil monsters then sent to prison where they are beaten and passed around as playthings. Yea that would work.

Ahhhh, they're moving in together. :-). It's great that everyone can see how happy they are together. They are such a sweet and caring couple. Can't wait for the final chapter!

I still had hope or Ren and Jonah. They were both damaged and both made mistakes. Ren acted like a jerk, yea, and he needed to apologize, but Jonah never gave him the chance. And apparently never will. I guess it's an outcome some will like. The only positive i have is that Jonah decided to be mature and be honest with Sandro. That's something.

Avery's dad makes me ill. He missed Avery? (*gagging*). I'm sure Avery wishes his dad forgot he existed. Thanks. I can't wait until this ends. I need Avery to be rescued soon. :-(. Poor kid barely registers the abuse from his dad now. Lying about the abuse will be bad for him later as well as he deals with feelings of disgust and guilt he is going to have. Sometimes victims have trouble recognizing that they are not guilty of anything. Waiting impatiently for Matt to figure things out here!!

You definitely delivered some heat Carlos! I feel warmer already! The "uncles" all sound hot too, but also seem like good men in solid and loving relationships. CJ wil have some great role models. I just love the relationship between CJ and his dad's. It's relaxed, fun and loving. It's great how Cesar is giving CJ some freedom to prove he is responsible. I don't doubt that he is CJs parent and would crack down if necessary, but CJ sounds like a good kid so I doubt he will disappoint his dad's trust. So where are the guys going next?

I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts Sasha. It's not easy, but i understand what you mean about hoping they go together. My grandparents died within months of each other. My grandfather went first and my grandmother was just a shell of herself and seemed relieved when it was her time. She didn't want to be in this world without the love of her life. It's wonderful that you have been able to get to know them.

That chapter left me feeling emotionally wrung out and sad. I could not imagine being Avery. How strong is he for still being alive after all that he has been through? I was so hopeful with that call, and so disappointed when his phone died. It makes my heart ache that Avery feels so dirty and disgusting. I hope Matt is strong enough to deal with the emotional fall out when everything comes to light. That will be soon right? Avery is going to need a lot of emotional help. Also, about Averys mom...did she really leave Avery? In the flashbacks she seemed to love Avery. How could she leave and never try to contact him? I think crazy dad did something to her and that's when he cracked and started hurting Avery....just a thought.

I had a feeling this was where you were going with this. It's impressive that Barry came up with the plan, even if they did change it on him. His poor boys have been through so much. My heart aches for them, losing 2 parents so close together. I feel kind of bad for Barry that he'll never see his boys again, but it was his selfish decisions that put them all in this position, so my sympathy is tempered by that. I hope Barry and Dave can be together, but with Dave still being "alive" I'm not sure how that would work. I'm hoping you have a creative solution for that as well

Another deeply sad, but beautiful chapter.

Now there are 2 men in this story that I want to die horrible and exquisitely painful deaths. I am also not a fan of Barry's right now. To watch silently as you know a child is being horribly abused? That's almost no better than doing it yourself. I hope Barry feels badly and redeems himself by helping Avery, but sadly, I'm not holding my breath. It's a great story, even if it is a tough read. Just remember...exquisitely painful deaths.

Well damn that was hot!! Clem and Ashlee definitely sizzle together. That scene was so good it almost made me forget that Nate finally got put in his place...almost. I could almost picture the look on his face when he got told off! So much awesome in one chapter Sasha! So are we going to a tailgate party next?

And the plot thickens. Very interesting and creative turn of events you've come up with. I'm impressed! Still wary about the butler though!

This chapter was great, but it makes me sad. I feel happy for Avery, but at the same time I dread what I know is coming for him. It makes this chapter a little bittersweet. I can't wait until Matt finds out what is happening. Avery needs help to get away from his dad and Matt might be strong enough to help him do that.

That was absolutely beautiful Gary! I'm teary right now! I could feel for both men. They were both in agony, and neither one knew how to fix it. I look forward to reading more. You have me hooked!

I don't even know what to say.

Well that was fast and furious. I'm hoping that the news reporters were fed a false story as a way to get Barry into witness protection with no one looking for him. I do feel bad for his sons though. No matter what, they're going to lose their dad.

Great chapter, but something is bothering me. The mom was killed, what, a month ago? How in the world are the boys ok with Barry and Dave right now? Not the "are you gay?" issue, but more of a "mom just died and you've moved on already?" reaction. I get the impression that Barry wasn't in love with his wife for a long time (no one who loves someone cheats on them like Barry/Frank did). I think he cared about her like a friend and she was good for his image as a "trust worthy family man", but not love, so moving on so fast with Dave would not be a leap for him. Unless the boys knew that their dad cheated constantly and wasn't in love with their mother I don't really understand their easy acceptance. Don't get me wrong, the scene was beautiful and well written, but didn't seem realistic.

I haven't read the first two stories, but this one has gotten off to an great start! Can't wait to see how the relationship evolves. Looking forward to chapter 2!

Lourdes is a real winner. What is it with some people that don't believe you can "rape" a man? What part of HE'S GAY was she having a problem with? Good for Cesar, pulling no punches with her. That was a horrible betrayal of their friendship. I'm happy that CJ is away from that woman. Someone like that could kill his spirit. Cesar and Papa Brett are a much, much better option to help CJ learn about himself in a loving and supportive environment. Thanks for the background information Carlos. It helps me to understand the family dynamics a lot better.

I am officially a part of the Captain's fan club (he has one right?). He seems so gruff and tough, but he is trying to be a good dad. I also love how accepting he is of Ryle and is showing him how to stand up for himself and take his life back. The scene with Ryle flying the jet was beautiful. I could almost imagine the look of pure bliss on his face. Thank you for another great chapter!
