This is hard to read, but I am glad you wrote this story. Maybe, just maybe someone who reads this (or another story like it) will look a little closer at people around them and see something that might help a real life Avery, even just as a person to talk to. My vote for Avery's dad (if you're taking votes

And so Nate has seen them now (cue old western movie bad guy music here). I agree with Robert, I think that Ashlee is going to give Nate a piece of his mind, and Clem will be there so Ashlee doesn't get physically hurt, although I also put my money on a Sukie/Ashlee tag team. Nate won't know what hit him! Lol I adore Clem even more now. He's such a sweetheart! I love that he lost himself in everything but Ashlee for awhile. Clem's friends were a little rude, but they didn't seem to be trying to be mean, the one guy just seemed flustered. You have to admit, Ashlee is in a skirt and is "pretty" so the guy was confused. I get the impression that with a little time Clem's friends will get along fine with Ashlee, if only because Ashlee makes Clem happy. Excitedly waiting for the "confrontation" in the next chapter Sasha!

I've never understood what could turn a parent from loving and nurturing for years to sadistic and angry only a short time later. It usually seems to follow emotional trauma (a spouse leaving or dying etc). I can understand the anger and hurt but to take it out on your child, who did nothing to cause the situation and can do nothing to fix it? That is unforgivable. Avery's pain and hurt make me sad because, although THIS story is fiction, there are real Averys out there.

Brett seems like an awesome step father! I love how he makes CJ feel comfortable and wanted. They are going to make a great little family unit. CJs egg donor is a piece of work. There is no way she can be classified as a mother after her reaction (or lack of reaction) to her husband kicking out her son. It's a great story Carlos. Can't wait for the next chapter!

I really like CJ's father already and love the milk and Oreos. You can tell which parent was the nurturing one. I heard somewhere that karma is a bitch only if you are one, so I'm hoping the stepdad and CJs mom will get a taste of that. It really makes me angry when parents kick out their children solely based on their sexual orientation. CJ is fortunate that his dad is a good man.

We found our first house within a week of deciding we were going to start looking (there was some weird cosmic timing thing happening there) and I loved it until we had to move about 5 hours away. If I could have I would have transported the house with us. On the other hand a friend of mine took 2 years to find what she wanted. You just never know.

Great start to the story. I already hate Avery's dad. I look forward to the next chapter.

No prompt: A little private time
LitLover commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in No prompt: A little private time
Ahh teenage boys. So many hormones so little time. That was probably the cutest and sweetest episode of phone sex ever while still managing to be hot. Great job Tim! -
Why have I not read any of this before!? I am clearly behind in my reading. Something is definitely up with the butler and how in the heck was Brenda involved. So many questions....

I loved hearing from Roy and Chad again and am really happy that Harrison's parents don't care that they are gay. They seem like good people. Harrison is such a sweet young man. Reading this chapter I have to wonder if Harrison is mildly autistic. His aversion to touching (feeling like his skin is crawling), but feeling comfort in a tight hug from his mother, needing things to be "just so", etc. It's going to make his college experience a little more difficult since it seems no one knows about it, but I am looking forward to reading more about his experiences as he learns more about himself. Justin is such a great kid that I can't think of anyone better to be Harrison's friend and roommate. I look forward to their story. On a side note: I hope we're invited to Chad and Roy's wedding! (hint, hint)

I love Ashlee's confidence and bravery, I really do, but if this were the real world I would be terrified for him going to a small town rodeo dressed in a skirt. Generally, deep south/cowboys and small town don't equal tolerance. Don't get me wrong, I don't Ashlee think should have to dress to please anyone but himself (and it seems that Clem really, really loves what he is wearing), but I worry about their third date ending in a Clem beating the crap out of some mouthy, homophobic redneck and having to spend a night in jail. That aside (and hoping no one will say or do something to Ashlee that might end in a huge fight and jail time), the more I read the more I love how he and Clem are with one another. Clem is such a romantic and now he has someone to unleash all of that southern charm and big heart on. Those two are going to have a HOT end to their third date and I have a feeling that Ashlee is going to prove to Clem that he was definitely "worth waiting' for" Can't wait for the next chapter Sasha! Have a Happy New Year!

The Gayest Man in the Whole World
LitLover commented on Cole Matthews's story chapter in The Gayest Man in the Whole World
You made me cry dammit! Such a perfect HEA for them. They have so much love and support, with family and friends and each other. I can't wait to read Chapter 20. Thank you for such a great story Cole! -
I love that Clem is so happy. Ashlee is such a good fit for him. He makes Clem feel wanted and needed but isn't needy. He is strong and very self assured. I admire that quality in a person. I like characters that I wish I could get to know better in real life. Ashlee seems like he would be a fun person to know better. Thanks for the great chapter Sasha!

Yes, thank you for all of the hard work you guys do to bring us such a great site and community! Cheers!

Great story. I would love to read more about these two guys. I can usually say that about your short stories though!

This story was funny, sweet, naughty and nice all at the same time. Colt and Tony are great guys who seem to realize what Christmas is really about. I loved it! On a side note: a speedo in Winter in NY? Brrrrrr

Fantastic ending to this story! Andrew and Jamie are great together and will be a couple of great dads. I'm really Iooking forward to Casey and Jackson's story!

Haha I think Clem is going to be in for an interesting and fun ride with Ashlee. It's going to be ugly if/when Ashlee and Nate come face to face. I can't see Clem putting up with Nate being disrespectful to him. Although I am pretty sure that Ashlee would have no problem telling Nate off either.

That was beautiful, thank you Cole! You really lifted my mood. I'm so happy they found their way back to each other. :-)

I found the site by following an author, Rob Colton, here. I started reading other stories by other authors and was impressed by the wide range of stories and genres available. There is a lot of talent here. I started by just reading a few stories now and then, then I joined as a member so I could follow stories and authors more easily. As I've been on the site more and have read more stories I've also started followng blogs and threads and have felt more comfortable reviewing stories. I love how supportive everyone is in this community. There seems to be a great support system for the authors, which does not seem to be found on other sites I've been to. I've been considering posting a couple of stories that I have written and I'm sure that, if I decide to take that leap, I will have access to some great advice and resources to make my writing better.

I like how Barry has the ability to compartmentalize his feelings and thoughts. It would keep him from being overwhelmed by things, especially now. I also like that he doesn't push any of those feelings aside and hide them in some closet in his mind, but sets it aside until he is better able to deal with them. I also like how Dave realizes that Barry's feelings could be partially in reaction to the situation, and wants Barry to take his time. You've created two smart, strong men who are pretty healthy and aware emotionally considering the situation they're in. Great story! Keep up the great work!

Great story. The narrator is a great guy. It would have been easy just to take Brad up on his flirting, but he was astute enough to realize that the young man needed a friend, not a hookup. I could definitely see this expanding into a longer story following their friendship.

Prompt #248: The Wedding
LitLover commented on craftingmom's story chapter in Prompt #248: The Wedding
I really like Penelope. She is a sweetheart. She had to know how much it would mean for her to wear the fan for the ceremony. It's nice that Damien is so open about his love for Kayden. I'm looking forward to the sequel of their story. -
Prompt 291 Oh crap! Here we go again.
LitLover commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 291 Oh crap! Here we go again.
Carlos is in to something here. A brawl at the mall...sounds like a great title for a chapter. The boys are cute as always as they discover new love. And look at that: Rob does know how to knock on a closed door.
