Thank you Def! Something has got to 'break' in the Erik/Twoey relationship. Too many people are noticing and trying to do something. Let's hope Erik isn't like the boy you were reading about. David seems to want to tell (almost) all to the doctor. Now, if Ginny clued him in on what she heard about the breakdown and head pains, maybe the doctor will ask the right questions. Not-gay David did seem to pay pretty close attention to Donny, didn't he. Also, his dream-gaydar seems to be pretty accurate too. Matty then Chuck, will Donny be next? Is Donny even gay? -
Thank you jess! Toph sure seems a far cry from the bitter emigre from Euphoria. And despite the (many) worries to the contrary, Gary seems to have a large role in that. I'm looking forward to Clarissa's wedding too! I hope Teddy has taken proper security measures.

Thank you spikey! Thanks for the kind comments about my description of the gulf coast. Each sunrise there is special. I certainly hope you are wrong about Gary. Toph doesn't need a setback right now, and that would be a horrendous setback. As I mentioned to Rex, there is an alternate possibility to each of the suspicions we (quite understandably) might have. So, let's squeeze for the good.

Thank you Parker! It is nice to see Toph go half a month without some sort of downer. He does seem happy. Let's hope he can continue remaining happy after the vacation. I think Toph/Gary is getting pretty solid too. That might help.

Thank you tim! Ouch! What a nasty spin on all the rose. I'm sure things will not be so 'rosey' back from vacation, but the fact he's falling in love won't go away. So I think your 'romantic' is safe!

Thank you Rex! Toph DID seem to grow a lot during this vacation. And we can't lose sight of the fact he's falling in love. I certainly hope you're wrong about the "too good to be true." By the way, read around this page and you will discover a LOT of suspicion. But everything we can put a negative spin to also has a positive possibility. Maybe we need to be hopeful but vigilant. And ...maybe Toph is too!

Thanks Tim! I think there is no doubt Charles was behind Clarence's texts. After all, he HAD to be the one to give him Toph's number. Since Charles always worried about Toph (as he said) and discovered through his texts that Toph was stable and moving on, it is distinctly possible, as the older brother, that he leaned on Clarence a bit. I think that is a more logical conclusion than putting Gary into the mix, don't you? Anyway, Gary's been sorta clean lately

Thanks CG! Thank you for you kind comments about the opening scene. Depending where I am, I sometimes can view sunsets over Lake Erie, and they are beautiful. However, sunrise over the gulf, from the Texas side, is something to behold. I tried to do it justice.

Thank you Graeme! Thank you especially for your kind words about the opening paragraphs. I'm not sure how much analysis Gary did with the Toph/Clarence relationship. Relationships are his job after all and the resentment of middle brothers to the youngest brother is a pretty well researched topic. Maybe he simply allowed Toph take a fresh look, from a different perspective.

Thanks jay! Making contact with his family was sort of the last barrier for Toph, although he had mentioned the 'possibility' a chapter or so ago. I think the jury is still out on how far or how complete it will be. But it certainly does point to growth on his part.

Thank you Parker! Ominous is the fact David has a deadline (oops, we don't know that yet) or at least a stern warning that time is running out. Can everything he needs to do, breakthrough with the doctor, understanding of his repressed memories, and discovery of his true self, all possibly happen in so short a time frame? And what if it doesn't?

Thank you jess! As I mentioned to mg, all Ginny sees is Erik being nice and her boy now happy. The bad stuff is beyond her knowledge. So far. Tomorrow's meeting of Randy with not-gay will indeed be interesting, as will not-gay David's Wednesday night dream. Stay tuned!

Thank you, mg! Ginny really doesn't see anything except Erik being loving to her son and her son finally being happy. She doesn't know about the cocoon Erik has woven at school or about the isolation from his friends, including the turning off of his phone. Hopefully, that will change. I like your take on Alex. So will Alex, although she will be necessarily sad. 18 months of Twoey? You really don't like me, do you.

Thank You CG! I guess this chapter needs to be rewritten. 1. not-gay David having not not-gay thoughts of Donny 2. David trying to have a one-on-one with Twoey 3. Closure of the VIXERA incident 4. Our reassessment of Gary as a force 5. Dad making the appointment with Dr. Keating 6. David deciding to 'tell all' to the doctor. 7. Erik beginning to get rough Those were elements I thought would reveal this to be a turning point chapter, which it is. Tomorrow with Randy will reveal a new track. Don't give up on Alex. She'll come around once her fine brain overcomes the raging hormones.

Thank you, lux! You're right, in a way today is the lull before the storm. However groundwork was being laid today. But from other reviewers too, that didn't seem to be evident. I'll need to refine my skills.

How the hell did I miss this story lux? Luckily I only needed to read 3 chapters to catch up. I love how this third chapter, from the other's POV, has subtly changed perceptions. The entire story now takes on a decidedly more interesting turn! Can't wait for the next!

So happy the boys are back on track! Of course we knew it was inevitable, Ryan was too much in love for it to end otherwise. But thank you, Bubba, for making it happen so fast. Such excellent 'questions' which led Ryan right back to Clayton -- as I'm sure Bubba knew! A great chapter Rex, for all the clear thinking urged onto Ryan and for letting us into his head.
