    Thanks for your great comments dayne! He IS running away. The irony is he was getting close, through therapy and his own ruminations, to self discovery. What has warped his observations might be the life threatening visage of living as the stepson of Enos Johnson. I think Twoey has to worry more about Erik than Chuck.

    Thanks for your comments bubby! I'm sorry David has disappointed you so much in this chapter. You are not alone ...hehe. What I mentioned to jess and a few others is important to consider. Everything he's doing now is logical to his way of viewing his greatest threat. Even if WE can see he's wrong and unfair, HE doesn't. That doesn't make it less troubling, just more understandable. He (in his mind) is in a fight for his life.

    Hey Mitchelll, tanks for your review! David is definitely making questionable decisions ...if one is NOT David. But, in fairness to him, he doesn't do things which don't make sense to him.

    Thanks for your review Parker! Just because Matty likes lots of sex doesn't make him bad people. Lots of people (readers) hating David right now. I certainly can't condone what he's doing, but it is very logical. His greatest fear is Johnson, and possibly living with him. Everything he does must be viewed through that prism.

    Thanks for your comments jess! In his mind David DOES have to do this on his own. His biggest fear is still Johnson. He really believes if his parents divorce, he'll be living with Johnson, which he will never do. That's what is distorting all his actions. Matty may be insatiable, but it doesn't mean he's not a nice guy.

    I have to agree with Geemeedee. Well maybe 60%. Insensitive, awkward, humorous in a way, but not cruel. Efrain's reaction seemed over the top. but given his nature, his background and a little of what he explained to Cory on the trip down, somewhat understandable. Cory was the interesting actor here, after the outing. His mood shift was quite remarkable, and ended with the best line (sorry Graeme): "It is now." Another super chapter dayne!

    Thanks Lisa! I agree with you. The whole ch67 sex tape was EWWW! The only trouble with blackmail is you never know what the reaction will be. But there's much more mischief ahead. I think David will have some fun in his new social class. Of course he's got the terrible twosome fighting over him. But both Randy and Alex will turn out to be important in David's ultimate coming of age. Skinny doesn't just arbitrarily drop characters into David's life!

    Certainly a lot of nice stuff in this chapter Parker! From Nonna through Marjorie, great discoveries for our little hero. Also the two scenes of Andy and Zander to successfully navigate the bureaucracy and stunning their two best friends was well written and entertaining. I felt more than a little unease with Andy's dream/fear of being a genetically bad person. He's got to talk that out with his therapist! Also a little uneasy with Dad giving off bad vibes. What's with that? OK, enough worries. Thanks for another great chapter of Andy's journaley!

    Thanks AC! I sure am sorry if Toph is sneaking into your subconscious. Maybe you need to build some picket fences I think you're wise to give the steamroller time to ... roll. We should probably watch and wait. Although Gary will be (read: is being) punished. I don't know what to say about the holiday lacunae. Well OK, I DO know what to say, I just don't want to. But for sure Christmas is too big to ignore, especially with Mamma's warm invitation sitting in his apartment.

    I don't know how I missed this story! Actually I do, it was posted on Jan 3, and I know I had a hangover that week. I like your light touch and narration flow. It seems like an interesting beginning, but I wasn't too fond of this short chapter. It was the perfect opportunity to make Ren a little more three-dimensional. All we really know about him is he's gay, gets high and dances well. The budding relationship (?) with Layne will hopefully do that. Anticipating a nice fat chapter!

    Aw ...great line Gary! And Craig shows much clear-headed thinking -- as he did with his twin. A wonderful chapter which put the guys into each others lives and gave us an inkling about them and the "old" house. Lots to look forward to here! Thanks for this!

    Crap - from one dysfunctional family to another! This makes Casey seem like the mature one in both places. Maybe he can be talked into baseball and put the whole bunch to shame. I have a feeling Casey and Lane are going to be seeing a lot of each other. The poor kid must have felt abandoned! Great story!

    OK, this is moving along nicely so you win Tim! I was seriously unsure the original should be continued. You're convincing me otherwise. The characters are developing naturally, to the point where in a similar situation we would be concerned the son would not want to share his father, but here we see Peter might worry Michael won't let him share Patrick. It's certainly not a family which would have any of that kind of trouble. See - I'm already thinking of them as a family. Biggest problem is where to live!

    Thanks Lisa - from your phone, WOW! Obviously we'll need ch 67 to know what really happened, but I'm sure you can tell it wasn't good. All David sees at this point is Burch winning and him getting suspended. But you don't seem to think that's gonna happen

    Thanks for the review Parker! Yeah, lots of things went David's way today. He needed some good news this week. The Putin/Sam plan for using SIN in an attack seems to be off to a good start, from the exchange at breakfast. We'll need to watch what happens, I guess. No matter what, Chuck's going to be sleeping over with Matty.

    Thanks for the great review Def! Liz probably spends all her time with Greg. She's never around - smart girl. Tommy has to be on Red Alert right now. He's too in tune with his brother to not be. Yeah, you can hardly blame Twoey, and Erik is handsome and willing, and Twoey has a history with him, and Twoey feels guilty as hell.

    Hey jess, thanks for your comments! I think David's gaydar has been working perfectly. The only problem is he doesn't know what it means. He probably thinks it's a potato slicer or something. I'm sure we'll never see nor hear from Burch again

    and I guess we'll have to see, but seems like Matty prefers receiving injections. Chuck, you should not be getting advice from David. Maybe he'll let you borrow Vladimir. And another demotion? "that woman in house" Too much fun! Thanks oxala for another entertaining review! Maybe you should write the rest of 18 Weeks! While David is a tad clueless, he WAS a little on mental overload today. I'm surprised he could function at all! The woman who lives in his house seems to have lost every bit of humanity in David's eyes. Of course what those eyes actually SAW might have been a factor.

    Thanks Lisa! You're right. Sometimes David acts so mature, yet other times ...Grrr! It almost seems when events don't apply to him directly, he takes a more dispassionate and mature view. (Don't we all, I guess.) But if it's in the David/Twoey world, he has a certain blindness (or cluelessness). You also might be right about David misinterpreting Dr. Keating. Once again he could have been projecting his OWN question on the good doctor's. They do start young - yes. Around Matty, more so!
