    Thanks for the insightful comments Defiance! You're correct about David, but at least he's beginning to admit the attraction. I guess that has to be the first step on his difficult journey. I'm glad you find the transcendental meetings interesting. They won't take over the story, I promise I thought they would be useful during this traumatic time, when the boys could not actually communicate any other way.

    Oh man, CG, do you ever have that right (about interpreting love in different ways). I worry about Twoey also. (you didn't think I was gonna say "Twoey too," did ya?) I'm not sure he's emotionally strong enough for what is needed to close the deal he craves.

    Thanks Parker! You should try naked meditation. I love it! The subconscious connection is sort of believed/not-believed by each boy. It'll be interesting when they're face to face. The shooting seemed to jump start that evolution in David you refer to. So, in a way, the unfortunate event had a 'good' side effect, terrible as it is for me to even write that.

    An inspired creation from the prompt Tim! The scene is a touch lighter than your poem, but I liked your take better. Poetry is sooo out of my realm. Someday I might attempt, perhaps in 20 years, or 30, or 40, or... You are good.

    Somehow I thought this chapter was longer than usual (not complaining), but when I checked, I saw I was wrong. Maybe it was the fact there seemed to be so many different places? references? emotions? experiences? ... idk but I liked it. Toby's out of Eric's world for a while, I think. Is there any way he could find out what really happened? Now that would prove interesting. Unnecessary, but interesting ...hehe. I love the relationship growing between Eric and his benefactor. Did I detect the old man beginning to rely a bit on Eric? I hope nothing causes Eric to shy away for a while, he's slowly learning to be appreciated. It'll surely help him in the future. Nice going, my friend! Anticipating more.

    Nice chapter Gee! I wonder why Joel didn't disappear too? There is something going on here beyond Craig's wish. We'll need to read on, I guess. It was heartwarming to see how the existence of another human emotionally affected both boys. Great descriptions Gee!

    Both lovely Tim. Well expressed with or without the colors I especially loved Out. In so few words, I could feel the love and concern for your friend. It was very heartfelt.

    Hehe ...I loved the line "Tom never wore lipstick" Even a gay 15 year old boy can get a boner in a passionate kiss with a girl. Of course, there's more to it than that. Those will be some of the consequences of Robbie's little adventure with straightdom. At least he's getting around a little and developing a social life. If Daddy is mafia, he better not screw up Fran or he won't have to worry about much anymore. Great chapter Dodger. You painted all the first date nervousness very well. I also enjoyed the description of Don getting enjoyment out of being Robbie's dad. Well done!

    It sounds like the end of Denise Can't wait to find out what happened between Jason and Shane the first time through. It must have been powerful to send Shane into a spiral. I suppose Jason will be hearing from Brad soon. I wonder how that will go. Waiting for the next Chapter. Hope it doesn't take several months!

    Aw ...thanks Defiance. I was somehow inspired writing the description at the church and cemetery. Enjoy it, I'm not very inspirational by nature Carl has to be hating himself. Maybe David will adopt Twoey's mother. He certainly wants one, and a psychologist might be exactly what he needs.

    Thanks Defiance! Twoey was truly ready to go with Danny. I think maybe David's implosion will happen in a few stages, and as usual he will surprise us at times, and, sadly, as usual at times he will not.

    Thank you for your comments Defiance! The Danny/Twoey conversation will be the necessary impetus for Twoey, but only after he betrays it for a while. Sam is very in tune with his friend David, more so than David himself.

    Thanks Defiance! You're correct about the David/Danny bond, of which we'll discover more ahead. The trauma of this will seep into future events, for sure.

    See what you get for 'being' straight ...haha Seriously though, was the redhead really Maddie's bf, or was it only in his head? I mean if she were actually going with the guy she wouldn't be all over Eric, would she? Well, all that matters is that Eric is going to be even more guarded around people and I'll bet he never hangs around with Toby again. At least he learned to stay clear of alcohol. One good lesson.

    Thanks for the review Lisa ...sorry about your tears. It was good Danny had someone to talk to and that he and his brother were close. I'm sure Danny's father was acting on instinct about the gun and I'm certain it was the alcohol causing the tragedy. It would be nice to believe the impending closeness with Twoey, and David's reassessment of his feelings toward Twoey were going to be enough to bring the boys together. I would be nice...

    Nice Gary! The Nate's POV was really necessary to explain about the box cutter (who else would know). But it was fun too, observing their mutual discovery through the eyes of one of them. Third person here simply would not do. I like the kids anyway and they give a different angle to K&M. Now we have to worry about the serious issue brought out in this chapter: dog selection Looking forward to the results of Mike's little discussion back at the castle. Thanks for this, Gary.

    Thanks for the review Parker! I got the feeling David was transported by the antiquity of the service. He seems to be missing any spirituality in his current church. Perhaps CG's comment about his lack of spiritual acuity is somehow related to this. I don't think David is of the mind to blame Twoey for Danny's death. About the 'spirit' connection, or whatever it is, we're still not sure it even exists. It would be interesting. We'll have to watch with open minds.

    Thanks CG! Sorry to cause those tears. I also got the feeling Carl thought he should have intervened in some way. Especially when he mentioned the probable physical abuse. Even though he was a continent away, he'll suffer many a sleepless night, I'm sure. David's problems are many. He also has strengths. The present dilemma seems to be his inability to understand some things are out of his control, even his own body and its desires. We're all waiting for his 'aha' moment. It may take a while.

    Thank you dughlas! I'm glad you found the story and so happy you like it. You have a good understanding of the personalities at work, especially that they ARE 15, the magic fulcrum between child and adult. They are going to make bad decisions and suffer consequences and hopefully learn from them. Poor Danny did, but never got a chance to get past the consequences. David is (obviously) a late bloomer and his true orientation will need to trump his desired orientation, or he's in for a world of hurt. Only 90 chapters to go I hope it never gets boring!
