Chapter 3: World History, Cliff Note's Edition
Jason Rimbaud commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 3: World History, Cliff Note's Edition
I don't mind exposition scenes, how else can we learn what you need for us to go along for the ride. I dig it. -
Chapter 4: First Contact
Jason Rimbaud commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 4: First Contact
Have humans genetically evolved to predict tops and bottoms from birth, like blond hair or blue eyes? And what's with the internal orgasm. I'm assuming that's the way men get pregnant, or negate the need for lube. Either way, that would be an interesting sensation. But the nurse, (I use nurse because I don't remember his name and can't be bothered to scroll up because I'm lazy), seemed to be overcome by the scent, maybe Shawn/Sean's pheromones, is that his super power? Musk that bends bottoms to his will? And if so, does it work on Tops? And if all males have a four inch peen, does that mean all men in this universe will bend to Shawn/Sean's will? This is a crazy story but so far I'm entertained. -
Don't you worry about that, I'd be scared to have anything I write be judged against yours. I'm so, so, so, sorry for this. At least I've read your stories. 😀 That didn't need to be said, but I can't figure out how to delete things on this gulldarnit interwebs thingy. For now I'll dream about Jolt and all the fun times we had. Though now that I think about it, that might get you to read something I wrote. 😛 Sorry i'm going back to work now and Ill stop trolling your amazing story that I love.

Chapter 3: World History, Cliff Note's Edition
Jason Rimbaud commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 3: World History, Cliff Note's Edition
So I'm sure you don't know this, but I love movies. And while I don't like Independence Day as a movie, it's too cliche, but has one of the most entertaining speeches given by Lone Star. But there is no plot hole in that movie. Remember they recovered an alien space craft years earlier, and they had reversed engineered lots of technology including computers. The reason why our computers could give them a virus, it was based on their existing technology. And there is a deleted scene that states this clearly. . I told you I was sorry in advance. I was right about no women, good job! The AI, Navi, gives lots of exposition using references Shawn/Sean would recognize. I'm curious to see how this war will come into play and how these observers will use Shawn/Sean to defeat this aggressive race. By the way, wiping out the entire female population is horrific, these aliens must be ruthless, I hope we get to see them. -
Oh interesting. So now we have direct communication from the observer (I have named him thusly from this point hence), maybe as a guide, or grounding source. I think we've stumbled onto a universe where there are no females, and why not, who needs them. This is still drawing me in, a few tropes notwithstanding. I'm on to the next chapter.

Chapter 1: An Unscheduled Arrival
Jason Rimbaud commented on astroguy's story chapter in Chapter 1: An Unscheduled Arrival
So I'm a sucker for sci-fi, do-over concepts, and alternate realities. And thus far, you made your character 18 as opposed to 12, so that's a plus. You set your do-over in another reality, that's two plus, and you have some kind of observer attempting to accomplish something using Shawn/Sean as it's instrument. We got some hints at a technology miles ahead of our reality. For now, I'm all in for the ride. I apologize in advance. J -
Poochie and Dane - The Car Ride Home
Jason Rimbaud commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Poochie and Dane - The Car Ride Home
So I have to be really careful. I like your writing a lot. I really dislike dogs. I stressed about leaving a comment on this story because I really hate the entire narrative you've woven around that dogs are intelligent but humans just can't understand them. On personal/moral/philosophical reasons, I can't get behind that idea. Yet the story itself is freaking hilarious. The dialogue makes you laugh from start to finish. You told so much about the lives of your characters through clever funny witty banter between them. You could have chosen any other animal and it would have worked the same as observational humor that capsulate the human condition. Truly brilliant but I hate it because it features dogs. A great story that captured me the moment you said how the fuck should I know. I like it, but I can't tell you fucking why. -
You said "roughly" You know, this is the third time you've challenged me about an Alternative Universe Joel. Challenge accepted.

Not to go on a rant, but the worst pizza in the world, anything from Little Cesars is still Pizza!!!!!! I can't get behind this world view. Matter of fact, Round Table Pizza is by far the best chain pizza. Nothing beats thin crust pepperoni from Dominos, and Tostino's Frozen Pizza (made in the microwave brings me back to my youth). I usually don't like Mom & Pop pizza joints unless it's in New York, where all pizza is amazing. I love Chicago style (you'd hate it I'm sure, too much sauce), Detroit Pizza (square) is boo ya. The only bad pizza is Little Casears, all around gross. I've seen Colt's balls, that will make anyone sentimental. Not meddling! (I'm sorry in advance). Spoken like a true mother who never believes she's meddling. (I said I was sorry first ) I'm back on Jolt because I know Davin is setting him up for the fall. My theory, and I might be delirious and dehydrated from food poisoning, Davin and Gavin are taking turns wooing Joel. They're parents aren't really away, I think they did something bad with them and they are setting Joel up to take the fall. And right before that happens, Colt finds out, goes tearing off on the 4 Wheeler. He gets wet going through the creek Davin brought Joel, hence the wet pants, and comes to the rescue where Joel realizes that his "brother" really is his best friend. They live happily ever after. Now lets see if I'm right.

So many things... She didn’t know that I didn’t really like pizza, but I didn’t want her to make a special stop somewhere else just for me. This not being a chain fast food place did give me hope that it was different though. The first red flag is the dislike of Pizza. Not the only one, but the first. I can't get behind a person that doesn't like pizza. Getting all sentimental over baseball gloves, if you want to bat around balls Colt's is over in the other room. I've been on point mostly with Trace's wife, but forcing Joel to invite people is meddling on a level that would make me stomp on her foot. Well Davin finally forced the issue for some hand stuff. Though Joel didn't waste anytime returning the favor. But in chapter 23 with only a few more chapters left, I'd rather they wouldn't have. As I am now fully back into Jolt.

Self-Hatred....Yes Please
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in Self-Hatred....Yes Please
At the moment I am hard at work finishing Part Two. I really want this story to be put to bed so I can focus on other things. But the last six chapters are proving to be very difficult to get write/right. Let's hope I stick the landing. I only planned on fifteen chapters but that has kind of grew and I won't start posting until the final pieces are finished. I've already went back and changed so many things in Part One to ensure all the crumbs are laid out without giving things away. -

Sadly, Devin doesn't know about this incident yet. As for crazy secrets, there are some secrets that will be brought to light. But sadly, no one gets hit by cars. But let's hope the real culprits get their just desserts. Lot's more to come in Part Two. -

I don't know how successful Ryan was as opposed to Dylan's own need. But Ryan is a dick, and lets hope he gets what he has coming to him. -

Grounded would probably be best for him. Dylan's life gets a bit harder for him. Which is why I plotted out a spin off story. -
Self-Hatred....Yes Please
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in Self-Hatred....Yes Please
I know this was a rough scene, but Dylan was not forced. And since you read it as such means I did not write the scene very well. I wrote that scene over and over again trying to get across that Dylan's own internal homophobia allowed him to do what he did because he thinks he deserves it. Ryan took advantage of the situation, got Dylan high, maybe on a predatory level manipulated Dylan but Dylan did it because he wanted to do. Remember, Dylan told Devin he never did anything he didn't want to do. And maybe Dylan is the only credible narrator in this entire story. -
Brandon Myers had an uneventful morning outside of Dylan’s outburst in the quad. As a matter of fact, if the truth were told, he might have been ignored even more than before. Mrs. Bradley congratulated him on finding a boyfriend, and overall, it was a boring morning. He had spent most of his time working on Matt’s inventory list and adding the items to the online portal he set up with Square. When Mr. Lee saw what he was doing, he offered extra credit if he would submit a paper outli

The Art Of Letting Go
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in The Art Of Letting Go
The photo I used came with the journal's of course. I never pictured Jason as a blond. But it makes sense why he didn't like Hot Blond Boy, two blond's don't make a right... -

I will say thank you. It was a train wreck from beginning to end. If we can believe Jason...Oh fuck it, its over. Time of death, the moment they met at that hip up-scale restaurant in Palo Alto. Thanks for sticking along for the ride. -
The Art Of Letting Go
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in The Art Of Letting Go
Thank you! Last night I wrote a few thousand words, I mean I found Konstantin's journal at the same yard sale I found Jason's, from Konstantin's perspective but set in 2025. I'm thinking about fleshing it out and adding it as a companion piece of sorts. -
July 25th, 2011 You don’t have a fucking clue as to what you want much less what you want from me. Words, words, and more words designed to cause as much damage as possible without resorting to violence. Maybe I regret those words that were blurted out in the middle of a crowded restaurant the other night. You see, I think I might have come to a crossroad in my life and maybe this one time, I’m taking the right path. Work, where to start with that mess. After Konstantin and I brok

...I Can't Figure It Out
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in ...I Can't Figure It Out
That means you are a talented weiner(dog). I wish my weiner...oh wait, I can't say that here. This is my clean story where I don't make innuendo's of the off color sort. How about that odd couple pairing? -
...I Can't Figure It Out
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in ...I Can't Figure It Out
Firstly, @weinerdog, I love that you took up so much space I didn't even want to quote you. 🥰 Secondly, when I first read what Jason wrote about Konstantin and being a slob, I thought the same thing. Maybe that's where he got the inspiration from when he was describing that particular part. It's weird, I remember going to that 40th Anniversary Pride parade. I never saw Jason or Konstantin there. It also happens to be the last Pride I attended. Though If I would have saw Hot Blond Boy, I wouldn't have blown him off for a dark haired skater boi like Konstantin. I would have tagged teamed Hot Blond Boy and Bryan in that alley off of Market Street. -

Jason Rimbaud commented on Jason Rimbaud's story chapter in ...I Can't Figure It Out
What did Jason call it, a fragile mess. In a weird way, they deserve each other. Since it's taken from a journal, we don't get other context, nor do we really know Konstantin's motivations. Obviously this tale is biased and maybe Konstantin isn't the villain after all. Maybe there isn't one. -
June 28th, 2010 If I am to be completely honest, he looked good. Damn good like the proper NerdStar he always was. He wore blue jeans, sagged just enough to make out the top of his greenish boxers, a simple printed black T that read, ‘My Dick Tastes Like Your Chapstick.’ He covered up his dark hair with a black hat with a single pink triangle on the front. And since I had last seen him, he had added an eyebrow ring over his right eye. He looked absolutely orgasmic. Fuck me backwa

My Closet Had Better Lighting Than My Future
Jason Rimbaud commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in My Closet Had Better Lighting Than My Future
I love the idea of this premise. And for the first two chapters, you have walked the fine line between satire and sincerity perfectly. The idea of making fun of stories posted on Nifty is an absurdist delight. But it's a two edged sword, you have to use all the tropes while combating them in a unique way. It's a difficult thing to pull off without falling into them. In the first two chapters you handled it remarkably well. Funny, great one liners, and interesting characters. It works because the readers know them all and we're laughing along with you. I'll be curious to see how you keep up the momentum.
