The next chapter, now three days late I think, maxed out at 20 pages, I kept combing through the journals and finding more references about Konstantin that I had to include to stay true to Jason's journey. It's exhausting being me sometimes.

So a green card has to do with residency, which is different than getting the right to work. Though a green card grants you the right to live and work in America without restrictions. To obtain a green card, it is usually from a family member sponsoring you, marrying a US citizen, or claiming political asylum. Each one has different requirements and length of time. Marriage is the fastest, asylum, then family sponsors. No matter how you decide to apply for green card, it is recommended that you hire an immigration lawyer, expensive but worth the money as one forgotten detail or filing could start the clock all over again. One could obtain a work permit that has nothing to do with residency. Usually work permits are for a limited amount of time and usually tied to a specific job. Oh what fresh hell is this now. I just healed from you smashing my heart over Jolt and now...I can't even with you at the moment. Stop playing with my emotions! Where was I, Joel needs to learn that home is not where you live. I stayed in my parents house for fifteen years and it wasn't my home. Because for a good portion of that time, I knew if they found out I liked older boys, that safety would be threatened. Turned out it was true. Our problems are rarely places, locations, weather. Joel, pimples or not, needs to realize that switching schools isn't the answer. His biggest problem followed him from Fletcher to...um...wherever the hell he's at now. So Joel is deliberately being obtuse and is relishing in the fact he's an outsider. Since I was an Army kid moving around every three years, I do not get this whole culture about sports, traitors, and team colors. It really is so foreign to me that when Joel drolls on about it I want to go inside the pages and punch him in his (still don't know what color his hair is) pimply face? Truly, Joel stay with the Rissa and her bunch, better class of people and its been my experience that boys who dye their hair and have piercings, do not reek of sandalwood and usually are down to have a suckie suckie in the parking lot. The school stuff was boring, the gardening was really boring, and we almost got into a fight with a footballer. One thing I know about sports balls players, they never come at you alone. The whole team mentality has been bred into them I'm surprised they fuck without teammates cheering them on. Joel needs to put a stop to that right away, sucker punch the number 9 guy and show him how traitors roll.

Thank you for saying the chapter was well written. I had feared I was jumping back and forth and it would be confusing. Jason rarely seems to do the right thing its nice when he actually stands up for his moral principles, such as they are. So about the next part. I couldn't sleep last night, so I think I wrote another chapter so this story might be eight chapters instead of seven. I don't know, I felt a two year time jump was...something needed to happened between but who knows what I'm going to do. Out of character now, writing a journal is really difficult for me. You have to imagine what is being written that wasn't included. Right now we have jumped in time nearly a year from when it all started. How would one depict that and still tell an over-arching story that hopefully is compelling. Many of these scenes are pulled directly from my own journals from that time period. Of course this is a fictional story, but many of the situations happened to me when I was going through many of the same addictions. A few of the repeating phrases are there to make him laugh. this has been the weirdest writing experiment I ever attempted. And we shall see how well I pulled it off. Definitely not something I will attempt to do. But this thing started because I was saying first person narrative stories suck, and Krista, Cassie, and Jeff wore me down so I decided to attempt a story in first person. So if it sucks, blame at Krista.

I would think the title, The Art Of Letting Go, kind of gives a hint where this tale is heading. I've never been good at titles. Not like Krista.
