  1. Truer words have never been spoken. This game seems to be doomed from the outset. And judging by the next few chapters, dodgy doesn't justify what is about to transpire. When other characters are brought into the story, poor Percy is thrust into a malestorm of craziness. And Percy is so damn competitive, Five can't be allowed to win.

    Um, sure, definitely, probably, nope.

Not enough sir, not nearly enough. Good night you wonderful person you. PS: Can you force Krista to actually post faster? It's not for me you see, I was asking for a friend.

    Chapter 26

I normally don't disagree with anyone I know is better, smarter than me. But this was not a cliffhanger. The next chapter sees Jaxton make up with Joel. I'd bet a lot of pennies on that outcome. I have done that. But my kiss wasn't on the cheek. And it wasn't done in a bedroom, it was in the middle of the pep rally, and I got punched in the nose for that one. And I'm so sorry, but I'm going to anyway. I'm too sober to stop my filter from working. This is the problem with writing in the first person. If you had chosen third, we could have gotten so many wonderful stories, scenes, and insight into characters. Okay, I'm off to play Assassins Creed II and drink a lot of whiskey. I get to fire someone tomorrow so I want to be hungover and irritable.

    Chapter 26

I've been wanting to read this since I saw it published the other day. But I was busy, I had my own story to deal with. I'm tired, it's almost ten oclock here in San Francisco so I'm not gonna beat around the bush. The FABULOUS @Krista, where the hell did these 10K come from? Seriously, I think you know how much I am enjoying the story. I know you understand the craziness my comments bring because I am in all the way on Joel, Davin, and Roy. The rest of those sandalwood smelling freaks can go spit. (Lethal Weapon reference) In all your words thus far, and with all the descriptions of going to a dresser and pulling out clothing, where the hell did these words come from? Seriously, you said you were worried about these "added" chapters. Why? This one is fucking amazing. Not only does Gavin grow by leaps and also bounds, he is no longer Davin's spare parts clone. He has personality, he has a shirtless scene. He even told Joel he knows that he's boinking his brother. Don't deny it, I'll just call you a liar. And I read your little comment about Gavin has always been there but he's sniffing after Faith. We both know you're the author, that was your choice, don't blame the lesser twin. Colt comes across as human, likable, though he still reeks of bad hygiene products, I'm okay with him again. Lacey is still annoying, you didn't fix that, and finally you seem to have forgotten Trace and his wife, not a fan of the wife, sorry, she's too...blech. I am so over Trace's wife's talks...and not a mention of Colby *hurrah* This chapter is probably the best in a long line of outstanding chapters you provided thus far. Even your lopsided take on the word Traitor finally fits when Joel tells everyone he's going to play ball. Just a really great chapter. I would say you outdid yourself, but we both know you haven't. Sorry I'm rambling again, but I'm a bit too sober to formulate my thoughts into something witty, so I figured the truth would work just as well. I even like your story...whoops, almost lied. I don't like your story over mine, but it's like right there. Really fun chapter, and I disagree with everyone, no cliffhanger. PS: You went out of your way to have Colt be at this party single. Then you made a big deal that he forget his tent. Seriously, you won't let Davin and Joel get a little freaky? I know deep down you realize that Jolt was the natural plotline in this tale, and now you are throwing all these stumbling blocks to ensure that Davin and Joel don't seal the deal by using Colt as a cockblock. Bravo! You won this round.
  6. Five and Bethany are playing an interesting game. They believe they are trying to help Percy embrace who he is. But like all good intentions, sometimes its just meddling. Things tend to blur when sex is invovled. And Percy and Five seem to be on a collision course. Five doesn't seem able to keep his hands off Percy's end, does he? Bethany is not the put upon girlfriend, she's right in the middle of this clusterfuck. I actually know/no nothing about baseball. I've googled things for this story, but I live two blocks from the San Francisco Giants ballpark. I could look out my balcony and watch the game if I wanted too. In honor of Krista, there had to be baseball.
  7. Since I work seven days a week usually, everyday is Monday morning and Every night is Sunday night.
  8. Five and Bethany do have their own agenda. Let's see if that bites them in the end. As for the typo's, I'm posting without the usual seven or eight re-writes I normally do. I figured I'd go back and clean it up later. As for the wrong name, I've used many unused scenes that have been sitting on my drive for this story. I thought I caught all the name switches, but I guess I missed at least one. Both of these had been corrected. So thank you for pointing them out.
  9. This is the first time I've ever attempted to do such a thing. But I figured since I knew where I was going, I could get there. I've cobbled a few unfinished stories and used some scenes so I think I have a good chance at not getting stuck. Right now I'm writing between 6K and 10K a day. We'll see how it goes as I move into the ending.
  10. My original plan was to do a Christmas series that flew in the face of traditional Christmas stories. I think I balanced the first one pretty well. I think this one is going off the rails. But I'm having a blast exploring some interesting themes I've never explored before. And writing it on the go as it were, I'm just letting my imagination go crazy. I can't wait to see how it all turns out myself.
  11. Before I met my husband, I had a jetted soaking tub in my condo, for two. I loved it. I moved into my first condo I bought December 1st, I met my husband December 28th. By January 25th, I was practically living in his small shitty apartment in San Francisco. He doesn't drive, and so he only made it to my condo a handful of times. After three years, I finally ended up selling it. In all total, I stayed maybe three months in my first house I bought. Remember that. They do seem to be on a collision course. I really wanted to explore the concept of love, being in love, and what that means when you don't understand life yet. I also wanted to have a lot of obstacles. They do not understand the fire they are playing with. And that becomes more clear in the next chapter when another layer of the onion is pulled back when you learn more about Five's motivation.
  12. I'm keeping a bank of fifteen chapters. When I complete a new one, I post a chapter. As it is, I might not make the Christmas deadline for the final chapter as it is. I should've started this in November but I'm enjoying the whole writing/righting while sitting on a fire. I think you might be right/write. They are playing with fire. And what about Bethany patiently waiting at home for Five to return? Marble soaking tub is always a bonus. I love baths, bubbles, and whiskey. They are staying in the caretakers cottage, that used to be the main house and was the original house for PineCrest. The main house hasn't come into play but it will. In the next chapter, you find out the reason Percy is there. Heated walkways, indulgent yes, but it saves shoveling the walk. Japan uses heated roadways to avoid ice and snow build up. It's really cool. It's where i got the idea. Remember, Percy and Five are staying in the caretakers house. The main house is a different animal all together. I do not enjoy pet names/nicknames either. And when I first typed Percy baby, I said, kind of funny but what would be amazing, lets beat the reader over the head with it. Sadly, the name grows even longer and becomes even more obnoxious. But there is a reason why I'm doing it, and its a private joke between me and another author who used the same joke over and over and over and over again for dozens of chapters. So I'm making fun of him, annoying the readers, and giggling like a moron. I might need help. That explains why you still have not mentioned that I gave you a new name, fabulous Krista. I think I might start a petition. stephen is facing his own crisis. That does come up in future chapters. And we get glimpses of his mindset. Bethany, I think, feels like every partner of a strong friend group. She always feels on the outside. All the inside jokes, the almost hurtful things the friends say to one another out of love. And Five, just out of high school, hasn't learned that friends are great, but finding a partner that loves you takes precedence. And to Five's credit, he really was only thinking of the friends. He's a loyal one that Five. Mario will not come back to be an important character. They were twins, and Mario was supposed to be a foil that came between Percy and Five, but I didn't know how bad his injuries were so when I found out, I had to change the plans. It was probably for the best, as my Spanish isn't what it could be.
  13. I tried ot tell him. *shrugs*
  14. “Your pants make your ass look weird,” Five commented as he tried to catch Percy’s heel with the shopping cart. “How so?” Percy asked as he walked faster to avoid Five hitting him for the fourth time. “Usually, it’s all perky and inviting,” Five said casually. “But in those pants, it just looks flat and uninviting.” “And why should you care whether or not my ass looks inviting?” Percy asked as he quickened his pace. “In case you haven’t noticed,” Five said as he tried to
  15. OMG! This comment reminds me of the bullshit I gave the fabulous @Krista for being an advocate of Jolt! I so deserved this. Christine is a cool girl. As cool as she is Brandon is an asshole. But I swear, he's a lovable asshole. Maybe.
  16. Brandon really cares that people believe he doesn't care. He's one of my favorite characters, he's so much fun to write/right.
  17. Thirdly? Well, I see from my notifications that you continued to brave this train wreck of a story. I had hoped to warn you about the silliness that is Glacier Bay. So for now, thank you, I'm glad you thus far into the comments are enjoying the story.
  18. I was that boy in high school. You should have come over to PA, I would have given a helping hand
  19. hahaahahahaah You would think
  20. I don't know, I gave him some pretty serious injuries, not sure twenty four days is enough for him to recover and then get passed around by Five and Percy like a purse.
  21. That's what I was thinking. Five might already be doomed, or is that Percy?
  22. Boner's are always better than any other kind of chapters.
  23. Not sure about that. You should smell some of the delivery drivers that come into my restaurant. If that smell went to your dick, I think your dick would go back inside your body to hide. One guy, I told him to get out of my restaurant and to never come back. I called DoorDash and told them that driver wasn't allowed back. He was the stinkiest person I've ever smelled.
  24. You mean seven boner chapters.
  25. Bethany is an interesting character. Due to the restraints I put on myself, I could only include her in phone calls. But in the prologue that will never be scene, she's a hoot.
