I could be wrong, as I tend to read this story at work in between customers. But I think they both got tested and shared their results with each other before they went bare.

I go back and forth with being impatient for the new chapters to being mad you aren't on my schedule or in my house writing only for me. I'm thankful you understood what I meant with that comment, I am enjoying the interplay between these characters very much. J

Winter's Heart is one of the hardest books in the series for me. I haven't touched the Wheel of Time since A Memory Of Light came out. But I read the series 13 times by the time Memory of LIght came out. It was the only book I haven't read multiple times. And in my opinion, one of the best fantasy books of all time. I should jump back in, after all I do have those amazing hardcovers sitting on my shelf. J

I also you a crossbody bag, don't ask me anything about it, my husband bought it for me one day and threw away my old computer bag. He was nice enough to organize my new one. Mine had a battery pack inside it, to charge cellphones, ear buds, and whatever else I chose to charge there. It's brown leather and is rather comfortable to wear. In regards to fashion, my husband told me the other day that I was no longer allowed to purchase any of my own clothing with the exception of underwear and socks. And he went through my closet and threw out everything he didn't like. I am now a very stylish 50 year old dressed in browns and tans, white, and black. He tried throwing away my shoes but I threatened to cut off his dick if he did. So at least I still have my colorful, flashy, and sometimes what he calls, gay shoes. My favorite pair of shoes, are a pair of hi tops, red soles, and when the sun hit them, they shoot off rainbows on the sidewalk. Those are pretty gay. J

I hope you put some cash on that bet...in the dictionary, my picture is right under smartassery. Smartassery is when someone is overly clever or disrespectful in a way that is annoying or offensive. It's generally considered poor social etiquette.

Not to Hijack Lee's comment section, because I can get long winded, but I think children of abuse can go one of two ways. First, they become hyper sexual and almost cope with the trauma by revisiting reoccurring themes, in this example reading stories where similarly aged boys do sexual things willingly. Or two, as in my case, they try to shy away from all reminders as it drags things up they'd rather forget or have put in their rearview. For a time I did the first one, 14 to about 18 I was only attracted to older guys. Now that I'm old, I'm still attracted to older guys, I just grew into my attraction and all my hooks-up, pre marriage, were guys around my age, within ten years up or down. This is just a personal preference, and not a dig on anyone writing such stories. But as a fan of reading and stories, what keeps me going to the next chapter is well written characters and Lee has done that for me. Sorry, trying to bring it back to focus why we're here and it's not to listen to my insane ramblings.

The reason I even stuck with the story is your smartassery and wit. So I am enjoying taking the journey with your characters, as someone so eloquently said, sometimes I just want to lust be close to a good story. So I'll check out your other stories as time dictates. Now hurry up and post the next part of this saga, I was going to go to Nifty but since you said the ages are even younger there than I'll just patiently wait for you to post them. So unlike most of you I suspect, I've never read anything by Lee before so I have nothing to compare it to. In terms of how he writes or if he's happily ever after type or a realistic writer that allows real consequences for ones actions, Though from what I gathered from the inner dialogue of Rod, he never once hinted that he's struggling with his sexuality. His biggest fear was having his ass kicked by Jake. Not all homophobia is protesting to much, it could just be a bigoted father that would crush him for being weak. Anyway, I'm all caught up. I'll admit I skipped over most of the sex scenes, but that's me and my hang ups with reading about sex with anyone under eighteen. Though I am breaking my own rule in a story I'm currently working on. So maybe I'm just weird. I'm going with that. J

It goes to show you, when I was that age playing around with Sean/Shawn, I never once I thought I loved him. I just wanted to do things to him under my bed. Love never entered the equation.

I promise I'll hate you exactly the same as I hate you right now before I read the next chapter tomorrow. J

And to think, when I first read the title I thought, how nice, a smarter roommate is going to be helping some poor kid with maths, or history. I really was expecting it to be scholastically inclined and I must breath deep of my scented handkerchief before I pass out from the vapors. Oh my. J

I was trying to puzzle out why you had to change it to fit GA's standard. I was thinking all sorts of dirty things, and now it is hinted that it was just because there was a lot of sex in it before. Boring! Domenico displays behavior like he's slightly on the spectrum. He's very matter of fact, oh, I think I'll just taste a liquid that came out the end of someone else's dick. I won't go into that he hadn't shot off in his sleep yet at that age. But he's very innocent in a charming way. And Jake is a perv, blasting on someone without warning them is so last year. Reminds me of my buddy Sean/Shawn, we had been taking turning dry humping each other since we were like eleven. The first time he was able to shoot, I still couldn't as he was a bit older, he didn't warn me or nothing, that was a weird night. It's a slow Saturday night at the restaurant so I think I have time to move onto chapter three.

I remember watching the final one, Return Of The King, on opening night. They were showing the first two leading up to the midnight premier of the final chapter. The guy I was dating at the time drug me there, it was awful to sit in that theater for over nine hours. I did get a t-shirt out of the deal and an HJ during intermission so the night wasn't only a bust, pardon the pun. However, though I think Wheel of Time is by far the better series, Jordan was not a great writer by any stretch of the imagination. He overly describes everything, even a town that Rand passes by briefly in book 2 and then that town is never revisited again. That didn't stop Jordan from describes that town, its inhabitants, and it's customs for six and one half pages. Just self indulgent writing. He was great at world building, horrible and writing clearly. Thus you get so many mysteries that he just never plainly answered, saying all the answers are there if you search. They weren't. His fight descriptions were horrendous, and he loved writing about women's skirts. I do agree that Sanderson did a fantastic job making me care again about the series. My only complaint, he couldn't quite get a handle on Mat until the last book where we finally got the man in the black hat again. I would also go on record as saying A Memory of Light is the best fantasy books ever written. I can only imagine, with almost twenty years experience under his belt, what he might have done with that trilogy now. I have watched many of his free lectures on writing, world building, magic systems you can find on YouTube, I have never read anything of Sanderson outside of the Wheel Of Time. He is an LDS and I refuse to support that church indirectly through Sanderson's tithes, which no doubt is a big chunk of money, no matter how good of a writer he is.

I enjoyed season 1 and if you would like to read my cheeky review just on season one you can do that Here But here is my take overall after watching two seasons. This is a fresh take on the series. This is not Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time. And that's fine. I loved the retelling of the invasion of Three Rivers. Tam pulling the heron marked sword was amazing, watching Matt find the dagger made me exclaim loudly, Moraine and Lan kicking ass in the Three Rivers using the power, on screen and it was amazing. Did Perrin need the backstory of murdering his wife? Did Rand and Eugene need to have been bumping uglies already? The casting across the board was really good, with the exception of Perrin. That actor was too big, Perrin is short and muscular in the books. The issue lies in the fact that Amazon had a huge toy box filled with fun characters, so they just started throwing them around willy nilly. Not sure if it was the showrunner or Amazon who directed the story, but something was off. The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, is just over nine hours. The Wheel of Time first season is just under eight hours. Which one between the two feels more complete? Lord Of The Rings. Just because you have a thousand characters to play with doesn't mean you should try to cram them all in just eight hours. Thom, introduced in an amazing way, five minutes later he was "dead". So much time dedicated to Logan, when he's not important to the story until much later. Too much time or not enough time is spent on the White Clocks. Too much time or too much time is spent on the White Tower and all the politics of the Aes Sedi. Say what you want to say about Jordan, when it came to the overall story arc, he was second to none in fantasy. Yes he meandered worse than Circumnavigation and had even more filler chapters than that travelogue. But Jordan created an amazing world that the showrunners couldn't handle translating to the screen. I think they were overwhelmed with the fan anticipation that they just tried to do too much. So we got an entire episode about an Aes Sedi and her warder who died. Waste of screen time for sure. The portrayal of Lan in that episode was so out of character it was laughable. Then the ending at the Gap, that happened in like what, five minutes and it was over. I know Covid screwed things up the first season, but then we got season two and it was even more frantic. Because my husband is all in on this show, I will watch season three. But something tells me unless they make some major changes, it will be the last season. And I'm not sure if that will be a bad thing. Even trying to reimagine for a different medium, they didn't use the toys correctly. J
