  1. I’m seeing a lot of blue skies and sunshine atm, so I hope you and Mike are as well, tim. Your talk about knitting has got me thinking of taking up knitting again. Mind you, the only thing I ever really made was a blanket for my cat to sleep on as she liked to sleep under my dresser beside the air vent. That was also a very long time ago. Long story short, I realized I have forgotten how to make the initial stitches on the needle. Good thing there’s this little thing called YouTube lol Take care, and I hope you both feel better soon. xoxo
  2. He’s adorable, tim! I can see a scarf making him a dapper little gentleman. Also, wishing Mike feels better soon xoxo
  3. This was me as well. Best to be inside rather than out in the cold and falling snow. Happy New Year!
  4. Happy New Year DiCers! I hope 2026 is all you want it to be tenfold.
  5. Merry Christmas spyke and Happy New year. 🎉
  6. That sounds lovely, I’m sure Mike’s mom will enjoy a visit with you lot. xoxo
  7. Nope, no onions as per her “pawrents”
  8. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Gary.
  9. I’ve made the dog’s food (homemade is the only way she roles ) as she’ll be arriving 🐾🐾🐾 soon with her “staff”. I also diced three Spanish onions and lots of celery for the stuffing. I have to say, tim, what you’ve put together thus far is impressive and very mouthwatering… I hope whatever you and Mike for the holidays is everything you wanted and beyond that want. xoxo.
  10. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Chris
  11. Thank you, Mike, and the same to you and yours as well. 😊
  12. If the steps are inside, do like I did when I broke my foot. On his butt one step at a time. Steps can be a disaster if one has not mastered the technique or has crap balance — ask me how I know… ETA: Oh, and that’s how my dad managed it after breaking his ankle curling when he was 83.
  13. I mix hot chocolate with French Vanilla coffee (Nescafé instant single serve sachet) and you’re right, it really does hit the spot.
  14. I hope all goes well for your Grandma.
  15. Leading up to the holidays, I’m making Healthy Gingerbread Oatmeal Breakfast cookies, which I will bake tomorrow as it is supposed to snow all day… https://amyshealthybaking.com/blog/2023/11/11/healthy-gingerbread-oatmeal-breakfast-cookies/?utm_id=flo&utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter The main Christmas treatswill be chocolate chip shortbread cookies, and everyone’s favourite, homemade dinner… or lunch… or snack or whichever comes first. Cirrently on the look out for dried sage leaves for the stuffing, because it’s currently out of stock (should have grabbed it last week when I saw it then), but I’m not worried I’m sure they’ll get more. If not, I’ll buy fresh sage, though we’ve not used that before.
  16. Aww, tim, this is absolutely wonderful! As an aside, the first stanza (I think I’m remembering that right) had me thinking you and I were looking out the same window.
  17. I’d wear them, because they look super cosy. Also they’re super cute! Pizza on Earth - clever play on words, and yeah, pizza Christmas trees are an awesome idea.
  18. I was grocery shopping yesterday morning and there was a guy shopping as well who was wearing shorts. Casual shorts and not the work out kind which might have made a bit of sense. Can’t remember the actual temperature, but it was probably mid 20sF.
  19. A man who knows what he wants in other words. 👍🏻
  20. Oh, I don’t know about that. “Pizza” socks sound kinda cool if you ask me. Mine are knitted with reindeer or evergreen tree patterns. Found them in Dollarama a few years back, and they’re now an absolute must every winter. I’m actually wearing a pair right now.
  21. I’m wearing slipper socks over my socks, so I’d say that counts as two pairs. Standard fare for me in winter, because damn are they cosy and warm.
  22. Thanks for the tips! 👍🏻👍🏻 I toast the naans a bit to warm them up (I keep them in the fridge). I then put a generous dollop of salsa in the middle (pc single servenaans) and top that with a slice of real cheddar cheese. Microwave (don’t have a toaster oven atm) on high for 20 seconds and boy are they tasty for lunch.
  23. Sounds really nice. Maybe, I’ll try my luck with them. I usually just buy the PC naans, which I forgot to put on today’s shopping list. 🤦‍♀️
