Hello Albert! I guess you will have to wait for the tickets until Drew gets his degree. Going to the store today for the ingredients for the aspic. I decided it will be my last meal before surgery.

Good Morning Gary! Congratulations on the new kittens!

Hi Everyone!
-
What a great camp movie. I loved Max von Sydow and Topol who really knew how to play up the comic book characters. The rest of the cast was...meh.
-
Thanks for the support Clo! I like your idea about claiming the handsome guys here. You reminded me of my friend who would lick her brother's ice cream cone knowing he wouldn't eat it so she could get the whole thing for herself.
-
🔼 Sorry, but as much as I loved them, I'm not going back to a noisy classroom of hormonal 12-14 year olds, or angst ridden 10-13 year olds. If I want squabbling siblings, I just come here. You and Clo make much less noise.

I was still working then, not living on a pension. Airline tickets back then were less than $1,200 RT. Fortunately, living in Thailand is way less expensive than in the USA. Food, electricity, utilities and housing prices are affordable here. In Portland they are outrageously high!

Kadin is very patient and positive as he teaches Germessont to read. G'dar is also excellent when teaching his class. His recounting of the deaths during the prior threadfall was an excellent way to impress the importance of focusing on the environment and not the distractions during threadfall. His retelling of his own first injury made the lesson more relevant and lasting. H'rek's interruption to announce Ramoth's flight to the hatching grounds did provide a distraction, but G'dar just kept the weyrlings on track. When he did take them to watch Ramoth laying her eggs, they were better able to understand the lesson taught by the ballad. It was great that Kadin could use his talent at the gitar to assist G'dar. Kimi reminded the boys of the importance of welcoming the new recruits. It demonstrates the solidity of the weyr community and helps establish new friendships and trust. The weyrlings have much more to learn, but at least they have some good teachers, friends and mentors to help them.

Sorry Albert, but as fun as it would be I just can't afford a economy class ticket let alone the first class you and Steve deserve. Teachers' pensions aren't as generous as the conservatives claim them to be.

Ha, Ha, Ha Very funny Albert. Not. You said you met in Yosemite. I want to know the details of the meeting.🤔 (Of course you might not want to tell us if it involves a rest stop. I'll understand.)
-
OMG! Let me know when the movie will be released!!!!!!!! I still want to know how you got from being in Yosemite at the same time to this!

That was a classic! I have been in crowds shopping, and I hated every minute. Usually I retired to the nearest pub for a drink! 😄

The battle is over and Adam is showing great courage in trying to get the help he needs to get back to Purity. Commander Moorabak is helping, encouraging, sympathetic, and has respect for Adam's courage. It is sad that Relshek has died, but at least Lord Kelshan and Castro are back on Purity. I do hope that the Silga don't have the resources to mount another attack. Also, I hope that enough DNA was extracted to carry on the cure. I wonder why Adam is not tired from the procedure like Relshek said he would be. Adrenaline high maybe? Brandon has trouble with Sage, but I think that Sage needs some time to process. He is getting some of the memories back. The hypnosis might work, but it doesn't seem likely if the memory cells were erased.

How are the negotiations with Netflix going?
-
Now that sounds a lot like Covid vaccine having nanobots to take over the minds of a certain political party.
-
Beautiful, but we want more details. Inquiring minds want to know!😄
-
Great cliffhanger! You got us all speculating and worried about the MC's. Yet, also hold out the hope for both the ship, Purity and the MC's. Nicely done James.
-
I'll sign the petition if you include a hot as f..k reaction also! This Chippendale emoji might work!

Relshek is beginning to sound more human now that he has found a way for Sage to return to Earth as well as defend Adam. Castro is also acting quite like a human after his exposure and bonding to Adam. Commander Skada and Lords Kelshen and Relshek are risking much to save Adam from both the enemy and Grand Master Telstrek. The tearful goodbye to Sage was well written. I do hope he makes it safely back to Earth. I am curious about the mind procedure being left to the end of the journey. It leaves the possibility that it might not be performed, incompletely performed or somehow botched up at the last minute.

Oh the naught thought this brings to mind!

tempestuous - Word of the Day - Thu Jul 21, 2022
raven1 commented on Myr's blog entry in Writing World
I like the sound and mood of this word. I also like the memories it brings to me. Tempestuous describes many of my students in elementary when the holidays were near, or they got to do something hands on like a science project. There are also many GA writers whose MC's have very tempestuous relationships. I'm sure @Comicality would have a field day writing an essay on how to write Tempestuous Relationships in the Writing World blog. (Assuming he hasn't already. I'm still trying to catch up on the essays he has already contributed.) -
@drsawzall, Great double entendre! Having been there in the Sixties, the more of the Earth type "green drinks" you took, the less you were there. As I think you probably know, The Beatles even made a tribute to the "green drink" substances. I posted this for you younger people here.

I think I can understand the reasoning of Grand Master Telstrek, but it is very flawed. It probably won't save lives. He assumes the Silgas will not find out that the cure has already been created. All he is doing is buying time. He won't have time enough for the plague to be stopped. How fast can he build enough ships to counter the Silgas threat? His excuse to ignore the constitution and traditions of his people remind me of the saying, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." The artifact seems to be functioning, but what did it do?

Relshek is pushing Sage into a corner by giving Sage what Sage says wants with no strings attached, except the condition to not influence Adam. Relshek even has a reasonable argument for that condition. The way Adam and Castro are bonding, it might not make a difference anyway. Sage has to decide if he wants a life at home without Adam, or live on Purity with Adam. The choice seems simple if Sage doesn't love Adam. However, Sage apparently needs more time for the decision. Adam and Castro are doing well and trying to learn more about each other. Castro's sexual response to Adam, as well as the intense climax, was surprising. I foresee some logistical problems in the future for Adam if Castro tops him. Brandon is still working on the problem of finding Adam. Sam's suggestion for the artifact may lead to outside government interference if the artifact is discovered.

Sounds more like the tropical storms here than Canadian storms.
