  1. Good Morning Spike. That's what you get for being a young man Spike. I actually had the same problem until I had read the first four Dune books. I loved the first movie, but thought it left out too much of the story and was confusing because of that. Of course I was in lust for Patrick Duffy and Sting (sexy as a redheaded bad boy).

    Fate’s Reward

A very entertaining wrap up of the various threads of the plot. As always, Apollo and Susie were a pleasure to see. Axel and his surprise gift was great, as well as the planned rehab of the bears. I was very pleased to see the addition of a sun bear to the bears in SF. SF has been a focal point of Asian immigration, and it seemed unusual not to find Asian bears in the population. The expansion of Axel's company to the Pacific and the renovations to restore the hotel will probably mean Mike and Axel will visit Siku, Shivay and Charlie often. I am happy that Shivay will keep close to his mother to protect the rest of the world from her evil. As for the promised surprise, I am patiently waiting.
  3. Hi Cassie! How are you doing today?
  4. Hi Bucket! I thought the weather might be too cold there for the murderous beasties to be out and about. I used to dream of traveling and maybe living for a while in Australia. After all these posts, the dreams have become nightmares. 🤪 BTW, Have you read any of Mawgrim's Pern stories on GA? Mawgrim does a amazing job of writing in stories to fill some of the timeline gaps in McCaffrey's books, yet sticks like glue to the cannon and incorporates new characters with the canon characters by Anne.
  5. Howdy Spike! Hope you are doing well. I did love the Dune books written by Herbert, but the ones written by his son and another author never interested me.
  6. Hi Page! Sandwiches are my default for hot days also.
  7. Take care Clo. I'm sending my best wishes. Just follow Cassie's advice. It's about the only thing to do that will help. If it does get worse, get to the hospital. Keeping my fingers crossed that you will feel better soon. (When Aod had covid this spring, he slept for at least 18 hours a day. By day four he was stomping around the house complaining he was bored, completely cured and wanted to go out. I had more problems with him getting well than being sick.)
  8. Hello Gary, Hope you enjoyed your walk. I like to do that also if the rain is very light, although Aod insists walking in the rain will put me in the hospital.
  9. Hey Albert! I feel for you buddy! It's 35 C here, but also humid. The forecast for the week is storms with the temperature dropping to 29 C by Friday. I'm going to hate to see my electric bill this month! 😵 I imagine you are too. Tell Steve Thank You for the reassuring words about the operation. I am feeling better about it.

    Monday

In an attempt to be cool, Reza is still trying to push his parents' buttons. The buttons are out of order, because his parents can easily see Raza is very engaged in Ravello. He is enjoying the relaxed nature, beauty and interesting people. He is taking time to enjoy not only taking pictures, but sitting around and observing the environment. He is beginning to appreciate the differences between city and country life. I enjoy the dialogues he is having with himself each time he gets shaken by an assault to his preconceived notions. He is getting a great cultural education. His physical descriptions of Gianni, Angelo and Otto could be considered a bit gay. He actually is quite impressed with their courage and attitudes. Reza will be a different boy by the end of the vacation. Great chapter James. A lot of humor and not too heavy on the angst with Reza.
  11. Spent 5 hours at the hospital with all the tests and doctors. Outcome? The all agree I will survive the operation. I had full battery of blood tests, urine analysis, chest x-ray, electrocardiogram and one more eye exam. Then three visits with the doctors. A lot, but only cost me $140 USD. Left me exhausted, so I took a nap when I got home. Now Aod and I are going to dinner with friends tonight, so I'll say Good Night! Have fun!
  12. I was looking for a quick short read that would lift my spirits. This fit the bill. You won't get overloaded with a lot of anything, but you will be left satisfied with a warm, content feeling. Just what I needed. It is a very nice sample of the writing of one of GA's classic authors, David McLeod.

    Sunday

True, but I don't roam a lot nowadays, so I had forgotten that.

    Sunday

I did notice that Reza's father reminded him that he would be responsible for the charges and to watch how much he texted. That did place it back in time.
  15. Cy and Tillman bring Harold to justice. It's very fitting Harold will spend the rest of his life in a vampire prison. His accomplice also gets his sentence and humiliation. Wagner has changed a great deal and has now earned some respect from Mason and Vincent. He also was highly rewarded by Cy. Wagner certainly takes his new job seriously. It felt good to wrap up this problem. It will be interesting to see how Cy helps the Harold's victims rebuild their lives. Yes, I am anxious to get by to Vincent and Mason's activities as well as the vampire problems of their neighbors. It will also be nice to know what's happening in the Owensville Pack. We haven't heard from the elders for a long while. This is a very satisfying chapter.

    Threat Assessed

I enjoyed this short story very much. It's great to see a prompt story develop
  17. Interesting how Zaran has to introduce sex between lovers to his just met husband on their wedding night.

    Devotion... and Rage

I enjoyed seeing Zaran's POV. From his more experienced POV, what could have been viewed as cultural differences were revealed to be abuse of the very innocent and young Kertyn.

    Unexpected

The situation that is featured in the start of this story is most immaginative. Both characters are written sympatheticly. In other words, I like it a lot.❤️
  20. Hey Albert! I'll check in again later. Now I'm off to my pre-surgery check up. They are checking for blood pressure, infections and giving me the pre-surgery instructions. Seven more days to the surgery. Keeping my fingers crossed!
  21. One of my favorite movies of all time. Loved the actors, loved the music, and the plot was so well written.

    Sunday

Reza is capturing a lot of the scenes on his camera of the beautiful sights in Ravello. Hopefully his not so devout religious practices will allow him to make friends with Gianni and Angelo. The German cutey with the hot sisters is making a lot of eye contact with Reza. I wonder if Reza suspects why he is being looked at so often.

    Chapter 9

What! Relief is on the way!

    Chapter 9

Why didn't I think of that! I do believe you are on to something! I'll make sure my friend doubles, no... triples my order for recipes!
  25. That's what I mean by low hanging jeans...well in this case cargo pants. However, this one looks too dangerous. I'll leave him for whoever has the courage. (But he definitely is BAD BOY HOT!!!!!)
