Hey Spike. I still love the both of you. You do have some content in the BL discussions. However, remember when Drew used to write pages of history, present his unsolvable math problems and explain why he was nuking a place? I miss the little nerd.
All is going well with Greg's security, a new armoured car, and the ability to partially change. He does need to learn how to control, but that is why he is at James' estate. It was interesting that Greg was able to assimilate a new language while feeding on James for only 10 minutes. Chris' outburst has him hanging by the neck, but Thomas has shown he knows how to do his job as chief of security. I think Chris may be shocked, but not hurt when his feet next touch the floor. Fun chapter.
Show start? No, it's the neverending story, Nick.
What did you miss? Yes, No, the drewth, BL fights, Yes, No, You love me, Hate You!, Shut up, Bit.ch...oh...one glitter nuke. Rinse and Repeat.
Slow and easy seems the course that Hudson has chosen. Although for Otis some of the things seem very advanced, he is very willing to accept Hudson's ideas. The boyfriend word was spoken, and although Hudson changed it to temporary boyfriend, I liked Otis's attitude that the position of permanent boyfriend was definitely in the cards. Nicely written slow burn!
The boys did a great job of manipulating their parents into going to Leipzig. Planning with their siblings got Winston, James, their fathers to the museum, and their mothers distracted with a tour with Ben and Amelia. I laughed when Ben asked how it would benefit him, but he did get to spend the day with Amelia even if with the mothers. The guys got lucky once again when Dr. Schwartzman showed up and then gave them an up-close view of the Sky Disk. With the clues and a map, the adventurers now have a place to start. Where will the map take them from the ancient observatory?
Often, but not always. Huntington and his army is still hovering in the distant background, with the hybrid pups, poisoner, Cassiel, Giles' pack, gathering of allies to fight the war and Caleb/Vann's situation. Who knows in what order the boss lady will address and resolve these issues?
I think at Max's age and attitude, it's the costume that makes it fun. Candy is just an added incentive. I am betting Max likes the performance aspect of Halloween best.
Time has passed so quickly. Those children that Colin and Armand first adopted are middle-aged with kids who are now married. The family resting place will keep loved ones close until Colin and Armand meet their end. It may not be soon since they are only in their 60's, but it is also not that far away.
A sad but inevitable chapter in life. The sadness will be for those Roger leaves behind. I believe that Roger will be happy when he is reunited with his friends who have passed before.
You did great @kbois! Despite the expense of tissues, this chapter was awesome. It was delightful and exceeded my expectations. Since you won't be cleaning up the many threads in a sequel to this story, I look forward to the many, many more enjoyable chapters ahead of us. That also makes me happy.
With the plans the four have for the upcoming night, they will need all the wonderful calories provided by the cheesecake. Better to take time for the cheesecake than run out of energy halfway through the night.
Rusty demonstrates not only his love for Matty but also the strength and calmness he has gained. With Matty's awesome contribution, Rusty has set up Connor for a fall. His strategy has also revealed Connor's innermost desire to Matty and control Matty. Connor also shows his twisted logic for turning on Preston.
I love Matty's mom and agree with her stating how much she and Matty are alike. Roy on the other hand demonstrated how much opposition Rusty had to overcome to successfully get his act together. It's no surprise it took Rusty so long to set things right in his life. I was very impressed by Rusty's calm and measured conversation with Roy. Roy too will have to change in order to be a better dad for Rusty's brother. Roy really needs to think about why he doesn't know Rusty. I'm sure Roy is very shocked learning Rusty has put all Roy's expectations in the trashbin.
Connor faced his demon and won one more battle, one more day. It was a great emotional chapter that tells us much about Connor and Shamus. It also shows how Ronin has changed, and I liked seeing his support, love and understanding of his cousin. It will be interesting to see how Dakota and Connor interact, especially since Connor no longer looks like a child.
The weekend was very good except for a short bout with indigestion. I found a great herbal medicine for it that works almost immediately. Licorice root capsule. It's considered one of the first medicines and dates back three to four thousand years. A much better medicine than modern medicines and with no side effects. I need to get my jabs soon before the flu season starts.
