Just her attitude toward his father would have given me pause to not even let her through the door!! Let her husband deal with per privileged, nasty demeanor...away from my home, let them find a suitable B&B or something, but not near me! Very late, but present 🫶🏽 The thoughts running through Jubal’s head are on a constant loop, and keep him wary of everything, as he should be, judging from the ugly “jewelry” around his neck🤔 But I think once Lucas comes home and they finally have the much needed “talk”, hopefully they’ll start to realize that they’ve been reading the same book for a while now❣️❣️ The hunt and tracking for “his” herd was brilliantly done…his pain and anguish over the foal and it’s mom, was our pain 😢…and my rage😤 We shouldn’t rejoice over death, but I was ecstatic when Jubal shot those wolves and took the pelts, the horses deaths were slightly avenged🥹 This was an awesome chapter illustrating Jubal’s “flight or fight” dilemma in his head, with much clarity…stay and fight for that elusive, thing called love ❤️‍🔥 💯 for sure Gary‼️
