I have heard several versions of "Prior proper planning prevents...." Some I have heard to complete the phrase include -- A. Poor performance. B. Pregnancy. C. Parenthood. D. Poverty. E. Problems. F. Pissed-off people. G. Paperwork. I am sure many others could apply. Perhaps, @drsawzall, you might be aware other endings to the adage? The helpful police officer reminds me of stories I have heard here in the United States (before I had to retire for health reasons) about how helpful and practical so many people in Australia are toward strangers as well as each other. I heard many positive stories. Really good chapter, @quokka

Wow, Auggie must really be talented and organized, being able to keep up with things while Marcus and Jexon are away. The boys will probably enjoy the travel and learning these trips will involve.

IF I were organizing a crossover between the Boone universe and the Doors universe (Geron already said in a comment somewhere they they are totally separate universes) I would have Charlie, Ricky, and Keerby meet Cally by accident while exploring alternate side universes, then using Charlie's second presence, Ricky's tag-along ability, and Keerby's universe-hopping expertise to take Adrian and Kippy along for powering, Horace for sensitivity, Robin for general ability, and Ragal and Casper and Durapar, Uncle Bob for his ability to copy Ragal's magic as well as use his own, and that combo allows for wide ranges of experience. Just dreaming, @Geron Kees. But you are certainly welcome to use any and all ideas I come up with with my blessings, IF you ever do a crossover, whether done by second presence or physical arriving in the Doors universe. Geron, can a Door be re-directed to a new destination, or is that beyond even Armenti tech?

Actually, with Nyf's ability to use his senses, he could use over-the-air internet to establish several connections to the net at once and get 4G and 5G speeds to absorb the info faster. I don't know if 5G is yet available where Derry, Mike, and Cally live, but still Nyf could learn very rapidly.

I am going to have to read this one. I have read some of the works of @Laura S. Fox back when I was almost never commenting. A refreshing style of writing, and stories with interesting plots, and also humor in what I have read thus far.

Much has happened in this chapter. I am guessing that Jaxon and Marcus will take the boys back with them to Australia. The question now -- why were the grandparents of Jaxon estranged from the rest of the family?

Actually, there are Amish in Oregon and Washington. The better known Amish groups are in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Missouri, but there are other states with a somewhat sizeable Amish population as well.

Doesn't found like any Amish I know of. There are Amish near to my geographical area, and my older brother lived near a bunch of them for about 18 years. The Amish would let them go. Whether they could "repent" and come back would depend on their local bishop. @Daddydavek -- part of the attraction of a cult is being part of a "select group" which claims to have knowledge not generally available to outsiders. I have run into a lot of cult members who have a smugness about them because they "know more" than the rest of us.

Fascinating, story, @Ivor Slipper. I hope we learn more of these two in the futurre. When will you post the next chapter, since the story says "In Process"?

@JamesSavik -- that looks like the dinner at church after my cousin's wife died -- except that there was another row of tables with food! Just on his father's side there were almost 50 of us, and probably about thirty on his wife's side of the family.

Well, @weinerdog and @drpaladin -- you are both right. According to dictionary dot com, when the meaning of the word "hank" is looked up there, and you scroll down to the "related words" section for hank, one of the related words is "jerk." Another related word is "pull."

Maybe it is one of the accidental perks of being a Premium subscriber. But I can only see that there is a chapter in the que, not the contents of the chapter. Right now, it is showing Chapter 3 is in the que, with 0 words, 0 comments, and 0 views. I will message you tomorrow and explain what button I hit to see the que. It is NOT obvious, and I discovered it totally by accident.

I love this, @Geron Kees. I had noticed you have Chapter 2 in the que but I didn't see Chapters 3 & 4 -- yet. But I think many of us know someone like Donnie. I am aware of one person whom I would not talk about anything more serious than the weather or possibly road conditions or whether the grass is tall enough to cut -- he is THAT indiscrete. I had guessed there would be three chapters. But I certainly am okay with four. I am also glad that Donnie lives nowhere close to Derry, Cally, and Mike from the Doorways series.

The stories BY Ted Louis are migrating to storylover dot us and some of the other stories by other authors are on other sites. If people message me I can give you info. Due to time constraints on my end, it may be in bits and pieces.

I am curious. Even on my old, semi-smart mobile phones, which were only 2G capable, I have never had a problem reading text online, no matter how long the story, if there was any slight internet connection. Although I like chapters in stories, I do miss getting a whole story in one go. I will read them either way, Geron.
