So I read later in Dans blog.. This weekend will suck. But wait... I'll go to the movie tomorrow (later today) with my favourite bonus sons - and they will meet each other for the first time - hope they like each other (no they are straight and mostly straight ). And then there will be more of 'Let's do it' coming

So is there two more chapters to wait for or...? Lets hope it, how will we otherwise have a good weekend? I havn't made any coments lately but have read all chapters with great enjoyment and lots of nailbiting. Wether this is the last chapter or not this propably means that Garret and the Republic has to take the fight down to Earth itself to get Paul back.

I have understood that Christopher intends to write a final book in the Carter-series ('Carter's Rebellion'). But consider that Carter now is written in this time as history develops. So he has to wait till he knows what will happen. I don't think it would be good to write the story in future tense. And it must be hard to follow up what happens in political Canada when he now works in Cambodia. But first he has to finish the Falcon Banner-series. It has grown as he has been writing it. From the beginning he thought to finish it in two books - that became three books - and now is four books. And between them came the prequel 'Queen of Ice'. And now he has his first fan fiction based on the Falcon Banner universe. If you go to Darker Projects you will find (together with 'the Falcon Banner') the radio drama 'Sword of Windsor' set in the time just after Amsus victory over Earth. So he is working but in his own tempo and his own priorities. Whatever comes from him its a pleasure to read. Lets hope he got time over for writing between work, lectures and living his life.

So even in the Republic there is prejudices against women . Hmm... Garret has shown a weakness in his personae. This is in stark contrast to his defense of the laws of the Republic on how fair they are. And what is it in Aaron that makes Garret out of balance? Finally I was nearly to write of the incident in the buffer zone as something unimportant. So what does the treaty say about the laws validity of the Empire and the Republic in the buffer zone. For me - the laws of the flag of the ship - is the laws that should rule in this situation. And upon that note that Garret ordered that all complying laws should be followed by the commander of the rescuing warship. So who is responsible for that? The commander or Garret. And should the actions have been reveived by a commission afterwards? This is really a very thrilling psycological novel. And the bishop is very cunning - maybe Masako should be more involved in this as a woman and a true born she should have some very good advantages over the bishop.

Suddenly as if in a flash I saw Dom's jaw at the other end of Davids fist. Truly evil Dom. And also promising an epilogue after this chapter. Well for me an epilogue comes after the drama is over. So quit complaining [hit myself with a stick :battleaxe: ] Dom is a great writer but it's so hard to wait for the final. Hope they all really rock the boat. :snork:

So lets see what happens .... ..... Good show by Masako! Somehow I think that she really know how to make development that hinders her opponents from getting the upper hand. Or is it that she (and Garret) are doing everything the correct way i.e. doing things the way you are supposed to do as a good human beeing? As allways a good chapter

Could also be some secret signlanguage between academygraduates for identification purposes in situations like this. I do understand the problem Dan has to keep upp with all the complex intrigues in his stories. :wacko: But then over to Emoe: Are you really "through here" on this chapter?

Wich means we will not see anymore of him - how sad. No... he'll propably pop up in the next chapter... but the big question is will he be another lover to Garret not to mention that redtop Barret - can be a fiery stud eh? Mmmm redheads... But then out of the gutter. Yeah, very propably so. And so will the bishop start his work of undermining the beliefs of the Republic as righteous. And that would not be the first time selfrigteous people has been using tools och means they disapprove of officially in their rethoric. This could be very likely - but then comes the question... is Aaron aware of this? And are we gonna se more involvements of clones in the story? Devin, Davlin and Deci (the three D:s) seems to get in the background now. What happened to the rouge MX-10 clone? I hope he will return just to se if he can mesure up to Garret in tactical skill and leadership. :battleaxe:

Well a lot can happen in a room full of hostages and only one person holding them. I think Frank will be the disturbance that will give Oliver the oppurtunity to surprise his father (... also by being an independent actor :2hands: ) thereby surprising both himself and all other.

You are cruel Dom!!! This second part was supposed to make us relieved and to give some sothening answers. Or was this just my own wishes? Captain Rick is truelly right AAARRGHHH! So... after that emotional outbreak :king: Brian is the second lunatic - he killed Mary. While David is sent to hospital, Frank, Oliver and Jay will go over the lake and rescue the Seaberg family. Oliver will be the hero by stopping his father (and survive). These predictions are my first And will propably be wrong all of them The only relief is that chapter 13 is if not already written - a good amount is - and it have been easier to write than chapter 12.

Yeah, no wonder Dom had such difficulty writing it down. So... will that mean that part B will be even more difficult and disturbing? No - this shows that they really are two persons. What I think is that just to show how bad David has become she turned the truth about their development - this way David seems even more evil. Well... now will we se David alive? nine days without food is possible. And there is water even if it is stale. I think David has enough power to live to struggle trough this. Waiting for someone to find him. But it seems to getting darker before what to seems to be a brighter chapter 13.

On sunday morning I'm on vacation and without internetconnection til I get back home. Poor me poor me My only consolation is that I can keep me off going crazy by indulge in my other obsession. How true. On the other hand ... the description of the first kiss can be described in many ways (just read all short stories by Comicality - they mostly builds up to the first kiss as a "climax"). And Dom is also a master at writing the same scenes. Even here in TOSOM where it does not lead anywhere. I have been thinking of a starting a poll on the best 'first kiss' - oh so many there are out there ___________________________ Otherwise I agree with most people here. The story is yours Dom and you makes the decisions about what to tell.

I suppose that part 0 "Queen of Ice" came between. When QoI is released we get the opportunity to read the whole saga again. And when we are finished with "The Lion's Pride" - "The Balance of Judgement" will be ready for publication.

How I would like to be Marja and get all this juicy information (chapter 9) from my boys. And with that information go into debate in the Deliberatorium - Just by asking "innocent" questions create havoc among those who try to push their own secret agenda. :king: Will there be a clone rebellion? Well quite a interesting question! It might depend on 1) if there is an equivelent law for clones as for robots (as of Asimovs three laws) and the Zero-law? Can a clone say: this is against the best of the Republic/mankind - therefore I rebel. Or could it be inplanted as a moral code (and therefore weaker than Asimovs robot-laws) in the DNA of a clone? 2) what is the meaning of clones to have to be loyal to the Republic? The republic as now in a Republic of Rome style whith a senate of nobles (Deliberatorium with Speakers) and Peoples Tribunes (Voices) - or a changed Republic - with a (for us) modern European/American type of democracy? 3) will Garret Lars become a model and inspiration for other clones. This seems already to happen onboard his own ship. And as the news spread around the Republic other clones will surelly notice.

Hmm A heavy case of selfloathing I think. Trebs have some work to do to get Dan to love himself again...
