Glad the story timing worked for ya, Carlos! This chapter covered a LOT of detail, so having a 2nd cup to take it all in is probably a good thing!At this point, Dave is definately gonna be around. FBI handlers stick with the client, even after the trial, just to help with adjustments to a new life. toss in what appears to be a solid relationship building between 'em, and I'm confident you'll continue to see Dave around. And yeah, there's some more plot twists ahead. The storm's Landfall hits, and it's tough, followed by calm in the eye, then the winds returning as the storm's eye passes. Yup, they are! And, I can understand Barry's side, too--He's done everything he can think of to protect his boys, knowing up front (at least in his head) what The Plan implies. But, now that it's really here, he's still having to deal with his loss of them as well. And, yeah, it's doing a number on him as well. Despite everything he's done/been, he's been a solid parent. A parent who sacrifices himself to protect them.Thanks for the comments.

I'm waking up, cool sheets against my chest. Looking around, it appears that I'm in a hotel room somewhere. The drapes are open and it's dark outside. Bedside clock shows 9:00 pm. There's a human form, I think, sitting on the sofa across the room. Have to blink, try to clear the fuzz off the eyes. “Mr. Evans, you're awake. Good! Glad to have you back.” The form stands and moves closer, turning on the lamp by my bed. “I'm Danny Brock, I'm a paramedic. I'm with the FBI and I'll be taking care of

Scumbag characters galore--and just when I thought Dad couldn't sink any lower..... I'm keeping the vodka nearby for the next chapter...somehow know it's going to be just as tough a read. Nice, nice, nice. Great to see Matt taking it slowly with Avery. He may not (intellectually) know everything going on, but instinctively he knows to not push Avery--and it's developing into quite the love story! Hate the next two chapters, but this is a nice setup for what I hope will follow the trip--Matt's intercession to protect Avery from dipshit dad.
