  1. Maybe he likes one of them.
  2. Benji, the way I read that, Eric planned to go to the airport later:
  3. Another great chapter, Cliff! Lots of action in this one, especially in Iran. Cliffhanger free? Not by a long shot. The chapter ends with a very explosive, unresolved situation.
  4. Cliff James has released Chapter 28 of Changing Lanes. The chapter is titled "Blood and Time". "The best blood will at some time get into a fool or a mosquito." Guess who.
  5. Malicious goat!
  6. I don't agree, exactly. I think what we are looking at is TROUBLE. I hope not, but it is certainly possible. This is a great chapter. What I really liked was when Dennis had a sudden revelation about himself and his relationship with Travis. It was Owen, of course, who was the catalyst for that. Travis is quirky, but I think Dennis is falling for him. Whether he will end up controlling Travis at the party or being outed may not matter. I think they will survive Dennis' family and build a stronger relationship regardless of what happens. Owen and Aiden? It is sad.
  7. I'm thinking they've all gone down to Washington to get a slice of the pie. These telephone answering systems are a pain in the neck. Companies use them to save money on customer service and end up costing you a lot of your time. I desperately needed gas in my car last night only to have my credit card declined at the pump. I got home and called the 24-hour customer service number, responded to all the requests for secret info to identify myself, only to have the customer friendly 24-hour recording tell me to call back during normal business hours. What the @%*&$@? I called again and responded to every demand for information by pressing zero. After only four zeroes, I got a real, live 24-hour person who informed me that there was no problem with my credit; their system was down and they couldn't approve any transactions. Next time I get a recording I am going to respond with the zero key only. If computers were really smart, they would tell you exactly what the problem is so you could use another card or pay cash.
  8. Dom Luka has just released Chapter 25 of In the Fish Bowl. What a great way to end the week.
  9. Happy Birthday, Nick!
  10. There is no money...except yours. Beware especially of Nigeria.
  11. Neat! My new one is a picture of one tough frog dude who fears no evil (especially despicable goats). Beyond that, it contains several references to my identity which I will not reveal.
  12. If the Iranians are to the north and the plane is pointing south, the rear of the plane is in position to blow something toward the Iranians.
  13. Or, release some chemicals from the bunkers and blow them into the Iranians faces.
  14. You are right, Drew. The goat keeps dragging out the volcano thing so that I get fixated on that. The Eric/Jansen situation is the real cliffhanger in this chapter.
  15. Jack has released Chapter 7 of Splash on the Web, "Serve and Protect". Great chapter, Jack! Lots of action and Oleg is closer to solving his big case. Andy has a new office mate.
  16. See Who is Alfie Patten?
  17. I don't mind the wet, Cliff. I do feel sorry for people on the east coast if that ever does happen. But frogs? No big deal. I must also say that I am concerned about your plans to climb Cumbre Vieja. I hope your goat feet get you out of there in time. I was more interested in the second disaster Popular Mechanics had on its list. My hometown, Memphis, lies on the New Madrid fault and I have heard all my life about how devastating a quake there could be...bigger than the big one in California. Lot of frog family there. The written record of the 1811-1812 quake, from the very few who lived there at the time, is really scary: The New Madrid Fault System
  18. Well, it seems Cody is out of the picture as far as Eric is concerned:
  19. Cliff James has released Chapter 27 of Changing Lanes. The chapter title is "Drums out of Darkness". Where did he get that? Enjoy reading! Strange - is it not? That of the myriads who Before us passed the door of Darkness through, Not one returns to tell us of the road Which to discover we must travel too. ~ Horace
  20. This is Alfie Patten: Is he playing with his baby sister? No, he is playing with his daughter. Alfie Patten is a 13-year old father living in Eastbourne, UK. Here is an article from The Telegraph. Is he too young to be a father? Obviously not. It appears money is at stake since two other teenage boys have claimed paternity. (Article)
  21. I was 10 years old. I now think that was unusually young. I may have matured early, but not that early. I have shaved daily since I was 13, if that's any measure. My own sons all matured in their early teens. Kids will think about sex at whatever age it becomes of interest to them. That may be before the hormones kick in. Parents need to stay aware of a child's interests in hopes of having "the talk" at the right time. I suppose kids are developing an interest in sex earlier now. They are certainly being exposed to more of it in pop culture than I was at the same age. I can't really answer the last question. I'll keep an eye on my grandsons and get back to you later.
  22. This is a great chapter, Duncan. It has to be difficult to write about a very difficult meeting. It is hard especially for Luc and Matt to see Scott and Josh together. Josh and, to a lesser extent perhaps, Scott also find the reunions troubling. Everyone is still wounded. We can only hope that Luc and Matt find each other. That is the only apparent solution to the problems they all have.
  23. Duncan Ryder has released Chapter 9 of How the Light Gets In.
  24. Do you consider "Wild Thing" to be your theme song?
