What a remarkable world and story. I’m hooked! I want to know more. -
As Harlan worked on gathering information on the pastor and Huck, I wondered what the pastor was up to with Huck, or if he was planning something worse still. Something tells me Harlan might need to act. In the meantime, it’s so good to see a friendship take root between him and Bailey, and to see Rayne get support from Elias. What a wonderful and intriguing chapter.

Once again, you presented a very enjoyable chapter, letting us experience days and events very few can even dream of. Brad has been getting a lapel-grabbing hard sell on moving to Everhope, and it’s fun watching his resistance erode. And why shouldn’t he move? He will be an awesome caretaker.

I enjoyed this story! I love how colorfully the scenes and characters are drawn. Dan and Arthur are off to adventure. Mallow should go along too, if only to herd Dan and Arthur. -
It’s awesome to see how you contrast the capable, fearless Harlan with his nervous and anxious alter ego. In the same chapter, you contrast the tentative, wounded Bailey of earlier chapters with a confident civil engineer. I really enjoyed how you developed both characters.

I agree with those who say that there are tons of characters on GA I want to meet. Here’s just a sample: @AC Benus’s Kohl and Gordon from Mojo; @Mikiesboy’s Sim from Soul Food; @Wayne Gray’s Troy and Grant, from Ash and Ember and I really, really want @Carlos Hazday to let me meet up with Brett Davenport and Cesar Abello at one of Chipper’s concerts.

Harlan just hit a mine, and it blew up whatever overtures he intended. He forgot to listen. But as a reader, I appreciate all the opportunities to glean more insight into Bailey, and into Harlan and Rayne, too. Thanks for that, and for the awesome song, too. I can think of someone besides Bailey who should be famous...

So now we know more about Bailey and his inability to find work, and his supposedly standoffish mien. As Greg said it, Bailey’s heroism tells us more than anything he might ever say aloud.

Not what I expected: so much more joy when the air and smoke cleared. Both Hank and Chase now talk to each other, and don’t let assumptions and preconceived illusions create alternative realities. What a scene you paint! You succeeded at the surreal and absurd admirably; each phrase connected, yet utterly zany and fun as a whole.

These poems are vivid reflections of experience, too-sharp pictures of the unhappy necessity of pandemic living. I wish I could break your fever and restore your energy. Perhaps sun and spring and birdsong will do for me what I cannot: lift your heart and bring you peace.

These poems to the moon are so very beautiful. The images of felted and woolen skies, of summer laughter and hands held while the moon holds moody shadows at bay, these stir my longing for warm moonlight and the stark melancholy in November nights. Thank you for these.

Though this voices pain and frustration, this poem is marvelous. I can feel both the bursting forth of spring and the bitter hurts still to mend.

Do you find Celandine blooming where you are too? It’s a bit of bright sun during April showers - or even snow flurries. And the Whale is such a fun story; I only hope I did it justice. Thanks so much for reading!

April 24’s Celandine refers to a spring wildflower I see blooming in the woods and grasses now. April 25? The collision of rational and irrational was too good to pass up, as was the chance to play again on the living room rug. Glad you liked my rendering of the Whale. I had fun this month. Thank you!

April 22 Frequently I do my best thinking while underneath the shower’s hot spray; the torn and crumpled half-finished dreams of the night are tossed away, and the slate washed clean, and as water cascades, new ones form. April 23 No matter how much soap I use the lines of worry yet remain from nights still hazy and diffuse no matter how much soap I use my fleeting moments must accuse

A great appearance from Phil and Riley capped off a great chapter. Brad is transforming into someone he never dreamed of, someone who lives to affect the lives of others. It’s marvelous to read.
