So, Brian checks up on Grant. Hmmm. Trust, but verify? But Grant’s love for Troy is genuine, which you make visible to the Quad Squad and to us. Thanks for sharing their lives with us.
I really enjoyed reading these responses. Thank you @Carlos Hazday, @Cole Matthews, @northie, @Headstalland @Wayne Gray. I find that your reflections help me think about my own writing.
Chase would be unusual if he didn’t feel a little ache in the gut as his friend starts dating someone new. Call it jealousy or feeling left out, he’s still going to ache. That he can try to be happy for his friend is good. That he saw Hank without an emotional explosion is even better. Simon at least realizes his feelings toward Jeff; now he needs to convince himself that they’re not wrong. His upbringing has made him question himself over and over, though. I wonder how he’ll like the film.
Grant: take tim’s advice!
Wayne: great chapter! Grant certainly defied his awful family in a way they can’t mistake. Like Troy, I’d be proud of him too. Looking forward to more!
Thank you, my friend. That movement from panes turned into ice shards, from frozen landscape to melting snow and vivid sunlight touches the feelings generated by forgiveness. I’m grateful for your help in making this poem better.
Does forgiveness walk with you,
with feet that slide in fresh-fallen snow
and break through ice covered puddles,
shattering their panes
to open muddy secrets to the high, blue sky?
Can you feel reconciliation's breath upon your neck
to chill and warm simultaneously
as whispered lips tease your cheek
and murmured syllables caress the ear?
Will you recall clemency's glance,
and forget that place you hid away your ruby-faceted anger
secured in black velvet,
