  1. @Lux Apollo Thank you! This is an exquisite performance of a personal favorite.
  2. I’ll hang in there, and I’ll be thinking of you as I do. xxoo
  3. tim, I read this and found it resonating with me and the experience of living at home in crisis, trying to work. How important and yet unusual it seems to treat myself with the same generosity and kindness I’d give to others. Thank you for talking about self-compassion. Your words will continue to echo in my thoughts.
  4. Hank and Chase have some clear conversation. You show them navigate the tension still there between them, and while it’s not resolved, Hank manages to apologize. I can’t imagine what Hank must be feeling to see Chase and that other guy again. I’m preparing for fireworks.
  5. Brad’s doing so well on all fronts. He’s learning so many things, from modeling to modern love. It’s great you are helping us to see it all panoramically. Thank you!

    Week Three

Thank you for your postcards and snapshots. Such a scary experience, but I am very happy for the negative.
  7. I like this! Petrichor is a new word for me, but it’s perfect!
  8. I’m humbled by your characterization of these small offerings. It was so good of you to read them, and it makes me smile to know you enjoyed the moments you spent with them. Thank you!

    The Answer

You succeeded admirably in what you set out to do. I liked this very much.
  10. What a great story. I applaud your annual project!
  11. Thank you very much for reading these and for your words of encouragement. Perhaps they seem playful because I haven’t been able to get out so much. Or maybe it’s just spring. Thanks again.
  12. Thank you for taking the time to read these. That you read April 21 three times makes me blush that you thought it worth the trouble. It’s also grand that April 17 connected with you. You’re so good to comment on these.
  13. I’m very glad you enjoyed these. You can tell I was culling and cleaning bookshelves.
  14. April 15 Pray tell where wild mergansers go when the north wind rages and creeks their verdant banks o’erflow where ancient cottonwoods still grow gnarled as bearded sages? What sheltered nest, what warm retreat from the tempest howling, awaits a creature most discreet, protection in the cold and sleet from sleek hunters prowling? Someplace above brown roiling foam roaring in vexation, a high ar
  15. Let’s hear it for Chase, who forced Hank to see outside his own four walls of anger and fear. Hank may not entirely believe it all, but perhaps he can see more than he did earlier. Chase can let Hank figure out what to do with all this information and experience now. He knows Hank will need plenty of time for that.

    An Ember Burns

What a perfectly wonderful final chapter; birth, marriage, John’s final parting - it’s all there, and beautiful. Thank you for this lovely story.
  17. Life has more value than The Economy. I wonder why some have a hard time seeing that? You’ve made it very, very clear. Thank you.
  18. Brad has a plan, and is future focused. That’s immense. Like him, I appreciated Lincoln’s eloquent words and motivation for seeking a new assignment.

    Unchained

It was very believable. And the push Troy needed was delivered deftly.

    Unchained

Just one more? This one was golden and sunlit. I loved it, especially how Troy heard John scuttle excuses and doubts in his mind. Beautifully done.

    Week Two

You aptly describe the Great Pause and what happens internally while the world plays freeze tag with our lives. I’m very sorry you’ve felt under the weather, and hope you are better.
  22. I’m very glad some of these made you smile. I’m most grateful you read these. Thank you.
  23. It’s a cold day out, but my blood is boiling.
  24. Yearning and remembrance breathe through both of these. I can feel the ache. Hugs.
  25. Thanks very much for reading! I’m glad you liked them, even the mathematical one.
