  1. At First Light Sweet love, awake, and with the dawn my breathing bless; assuage that ache that clamors in my deep distress to echo in my emptiness. Here I confess upon your lips and sleep hazed brow amor’s address; to Cupid’s arrows will I bow if only you embrace me now. Hear me avow my place is at your side indeed, no matter how the unkind years may intercede or where the road
  2. Congratulations on one year, Carlos! AAA is informative, entertaining and fascinating to read. Thanks especially to this month’s authors - and to everyone who writes.

    Chapter 2

A really hard coming out scene, followed by some hope. But why do kids have to live with hatred like that? And see what it does to warp the minds of those who do? Thanks for posting.

    Chapter 1

This is an interesting beginning. Thanks for posting this.
  5. This is a clear trumpet call for change to the way things are. I signed up to campaign for the challenger to one of intolerance’s enablers in my district. You’re right. And we need to take away the roots that make political callousness possible. Thank you.

    I still care

Thank you for posting these. I like them. Please consider posting again.
  7. Oh, what a tragedy. You write this too well.
  8. These are magnificent. Number 1 is a dream vision, and it is vivid and scary. I don’t wonder you reacted as you did. Number 2 left me envying your powers of observation and description. It is wonderful.
  9. That's an interesting twist to the common tale of infidelity. I wonder what the next events will do to that relationship.

    Love & Need

This is an interesting story of the complex dynamic of need and love. There are many ways to look at this, but it's important to note you've told us both of John's needs and Nathan's. I wonder if John's friends see which of his needs Nathan fulfills.
  11. This story hits close and hits hard. As before, my imagination can fill in subsequent events. But they won't be very happy ones.

    Closing Doors

A wonderfully succinct snapshot. Thanks for letting me wonder about what happens next.
  13. Thank you, Sas. I am grateful you read these small poetic pieces, and that you thought them wise.
  14. Thank you, Cia. I’m grateful for this.
  15. Thank you, molly. Autumn is just underway here. I just liked the sound of the second one. And then the third...there are times when I wonder about fitting any proper place. Thank you for understanding.
  16. Yes, it's helpful to have read The Chosen. Yet this is a sweet, glowing interlude in the hearts of two young men that is wonderful to read.

    Cerulean Dreams

Sweet and lovely. Thank you for this added snapshot into their lives that includes no demons other than the ones that drove Killian away from Ryan.
  18. Wow! What an ending! I loved that. Very interesting take on the prompt.
  19. Oh, the shrill self righteousness of the willfully blind. Joy seems determined to paint herself into a bigot’s corner, all full of indignation and resentment. But what has Geoffrey done but finally share the deepest truth about himself with her? She wanted him to share, and she got more than she bargained for. But then, as a mother, she seems to be a rather poor bargain, herself.

    Objects at Rest

What an awesome finale. You cooked up a way to wipe out the Lords in Shadow. Beautiful. And the end in which the boys remain, hand in hand and in love, well, that's wonderful, too. Not sure my heart meds are up to any more excitement. Very well done.
  21. I waited to read this. Now I can’t stop. You done good...it’s terribly exciting. But killing Ryan? I weep.
  22. Happy Birthday, DaddyDave, hear me celebrate and rave, wishing you most splendid thought while you party, as you ought!
  23. You tell the story of the Atlantean apocalypse with nail-biting skill. I was riveted. Now I am apprehensive for the Chosen. Yes, they have a dagger, a most formidable weapon. But there are always problems with such weapons. What happens if it is lost, or if it falls into the wrong hands? And the account of the fall of Atlantis makes me wonder if there wasn't some kind of treachery involved. How did the Lords in Shadow know when the shields would be down? Why were they down in the first place? Maintenance? That seems to be most odd for a vigilant and intelligent people like the Atlanteans. And if there was treachery then, may there not be treachery later? I know, I know, I have to wait and see. I can be satisfied if the next chapter comes out in, oh, say the next ten minutes or so...
  24. Dugh, thank you for reading these, and for your perceptive and thoughtful responses. I am very grateful. I hope you enjoyed these unpartnered poems as fully as I did.
