  1. I ran across this quite accidentally today. Now I have it saved...

    Chapter 7

Marty, Marty, inching close to the edge. You know you may as well jump, before someone pushes you - landing hurts a lot worse if you get pushed. Beautifully, artfully told. I am very much enjoying this.

    Chapter 18

This chapter shows Ryder growing and more comfortable with Tyler than with anyone save Jeremy and his family. I liked how well you paint this more open Ryder. Renee and her friends are not going away, and Ryder is simply going to have to find a way to deal with them either tactfully and gracelessly. I hope he can find a way to get around the pressure he must be experiencing.
  4. "Being gay is not what defines you.... In the end, you are still using one piece of your life to extract meaning to the rest of it. Sexuality is neither the validation for your life nor the reason to fight against it." This spoke very powerfully to me. Thank you for saying this.
  5. A perfectly lovely crystalline offering.
  6. Cookie is an old pro. Wally, the predator, got stalked, taken down and trussed up before he could peep or figure out what was happening. Quickbooks? That would be too easy...thanks for your reading and thoughts...will pass them on to Cookie!

Wally has the eye popping experience to help a younger man connect some of the dots in life. But Wally is still so much in a transition: will he become someone new, or will he be chased back into something like his old life? But I like to think of Wally as the better of these options. Now, as to Carlos, I thought that description was unneeded, as be all know how hot the big man is....

    Math Homework

Pascal's triangle is such a wonderful mathematical wonder, but trying to find words that make a poem to fit was a harder task than I envisioned. The Sequence poem probably should be withdrawn, until I can re-write it to make better sense, but its pattern is there for students in Calc 2 or so. And you can turn in your doodles with your next review... ...thanks very much for being kind enough to give these a go.

Wally is an observant guy, but is he an apt student in what you characterize as a master class? (love that idea, by the way) Michael must have learned from Oscar or Javier how to make people feel welcome. Now Michael appears to be learning additional lessons from Trey. Which leaves Wally trying to cope with emotions for which he is not really prepared. You are right that even though Wally is unprepared, he has a clear target to aim for. But who would want a onetime predator like himself? I thank you for your response and insights. I am glad you like this week's chapter.
  10. A great chapter with more insight into how CJ and Owen managed their new official status, and how Brett and Cesar are dealing with a rapidly maturing young man. Your added details into their lives makes it very real. But now, about that ending. Any chance of an early...repeat, early...next installment??
  11. What a lovely story. There is a series of concentric discussions, all leading to the heart. In this case, that heart belongs to Lucas. Joel is a great man. Fantastic story!
  12. You said it! Wally was drawn into that one, reeled in like a fish, by someone who must be a pro. Ellie is a character, certainly, and maybe a friend. Thanks for your thoughts, and for reading. You know it is so very encouraging.

Wally is now feeling for others, that's true. He is also far less numb himself. That is a mixed blessing, it appears. Business relationships needed no emotion; he must feel something now. I a glad you liked the close of the chapter. Wonder what sort of talk Oscar and Javi will have with Michael when Trey goes home?
  14. Discovered, but not completely understood. Wally filled in some details, perhaps so that Michael might not ever follow his own path. Thanks for reading and for your thoughts.

Thank you, tim! Wonder how long Michael was silently hoping that Wally would disappear for a few minutes? As always, thank you for reading!

I am glad you started this story. Hope the hook sets!

    Chapter 17

And a whole new group of people for Ryder to find common ground with. Maybe he will learn not to live so deeply in his own mind. Lots of chances to let go of some hurt and open himself to something better. Well done!
  18. How exquisitely beautiful. The wonder and magic of these words echo in my mind: two feet of living moss...I can only imagine how that must feel...reveal a world that takes you from your own....II am already transported...words written on a wind...a breeze that can chant of things I only now remember... You have given to us so freely, so generously of yourself, your offerings on that magical and marvelous breeze. Thank you for that part of yourself you share, and for your imagination.

This is an awesome story. I am so very glad to have found it. Thank you.
  20. Under what rock have I been living that I have missed this? So lovely in its baroque simplicity.

I love the word you used...sunlit...for that is exactly what Michael and Trey were. I am glad it was a bit of a surprise. I think Javi and Oscar were surprised, too. For Wally, the surprise must be mixed with a sort of envy and sadness at what he knows he never experienced - and all his own doing, too. I am very grateful for your thoughts and that you continue to read the story.

    Chapter 4

Liam, on pain meds, and with a body distracted by healing, does not need Alek in his life. Alex may be a very good man, may even be making major transitions in his life...transitions worth a chapter, hint, hint....but Liam needs someone who is just plain good to him. Someone he can trust implicitly. Alek will always leave him with tiny, unhappy doubts. Nathan may not be that guy, either. It remains to be seen if Nathan is as nice as he appears. Great stuff, though it seems somebody's heart is going to get badly damaged in the not too distant future.

Wally must be terribly mixed at Michael and Trey...jealous? Bittersweet? Ironic? Nostalgic? What seems most true is that he must be experiencing a sweet sort of pain, knowing he never knew what the boys have. Yes, Wally is changing and maturing. Thanks for reading and responding!

A sugar high...that's great. Wally has been nothing but bitter for a long time, that seems plain. Can a person change his flavor? Interesting idea! Many thanks for your thoughts and for reading!
