This is a fantastic chapter. Then again, it's a fantastic story. Jackson's change into someone actually thoughtful and caring about another has been so artfully done that it becomes hard to recall what he was like before. The whole homecoming game and dance dilemma had me smirking, as did the interrupted make-out session. And poor Cindy. When is she going to realize that hovering is not going to change Luke into the porcelain figurine she seems to want for a son? As it is, Jackson's mom is far more perceptive, and kind. And maybe, just, maybe, the new Jackson will be worthy of that.

This chapter speaks volumes about how some families and some siblings get nearly everything right. As Cesar and Brett muse, they aren't quite sure how it happens, but it does. CJ and Owen had me enjoying the party, and you floored me and Ethan with the whole green eyed jealousy thing. But the best part was the morning after with Ritchie standing up for his brothers. This is a standout chapter!

I think Wally probably finds the Japanese text distracting. The general outline might be visible in the story, but the text might mean something important. He might find a translation on the internet, but that's not something he will find right at the moment. But you are right in that Graham and Wally have had a lovely, unconstrained conversation, and that's the best thing he's experienced in a while. This chapter really shows Nathan in a very good light. He seems to be a wonderful man. As Corey said, he'll be even more wonderful if he's willing to wait for Liam. Which, knowing Liam, would be a very good choice for Nathan to make. It was very, very wise for Liam to clear the air with Nathan, seeing as Nathan reacted as I might have expected and hoped. A lovely chapter. More please? Now?

Several nights later, he was deep into the project of sorting out Cookie's cryptic ship's accounting. He'd created a spreadsheet which had begun to sprawl wildly, despite his best attempts to tame it. I cannot help being delighted with the discussion on CPE Bach. I quite agree that he lives far too much in JS's shadows. This discussion is generally making me (1) despair over and (2) rethink the music history course I get to (occasionally) teach. If there are any suggestions for a revamp, I'd be all ears.

What a story. You write the sex so vividly and smoothly; such things are often hard to write. And it attracts for all the things that went untold, too - now I want to know how they connected, where our narrator had to go through...all that, and what happened after, of course. Perfectly marvelous.

It is very hard to bare your soul and be vulnerable, either to the boy you liked, or to a community like this one. This guy would have had a heart of granite not to appreciate a poem like this, though. It is true and lovely and beautiful; it is nothing to be sorry about. Happy Valentine's Day! -

Thank you very much for reading through these and responding to them. I hoped that the first one would have the power to charm. The second is a bit sad, I agree, but I hoped to give the sense of waking to one's beloved. I am glad the pictures are vivid enough to come through.

I am now blushing a deep Valentine's Day red. Thank you for reading through the whole story, and for your very, very kind remarks. It is a very hard story, at first - and for some very unfortunate kids in North America, all too true in one aspect or another. As a happy-ending addict, I would not have left Andy to hurt forever, though. Each of the characters in this tale lives in my head, still. I hope you have enjoyed making their acquaintance, too.

What a zinger at the end! Sybil has a mate! It seems that the truest thing is that the shifters have some of their confidence back, and can begin to look with hope to the future. But now I worry at the price Kellar seems to pay for all the healing he has been doing. Is it possible for him to be hurt in healing? Is there a chance that Kellar might a healing and not ever come back? If Tobyn gets that idea, there could be a real, fierce, snarling argument; a true, um, dogfight. Great chapter... wanting more! -
You have give us a chapter in which Marty and Hrishi, who have been circling around each other to a great extent, fully collide. The result is undeniably heated and sexy. I appreciate how you don't turn this into an event that sweeps away every previous impression each had of the other. If such things change, they often change more slowly. But I, for one, would like to see each one give a little more...both to and for the other. Great chapter.

Thank you for reading this story, and at such a rate! I am particularly grateful for your saying Tricia not a soap opera Ina traditional sense. Andy is a deeply hurt young man, who has finally found someone - actually several someones - who love him. Monica was a fun character to write; a mom who knows how to parent (she thinks), but who hasn't met anyone like Andy, either. And you are right in that an adult who can apologize will make an enormous impression on Andy. I appreciate your review, and hope you continue to enjoy Andy's story.

Growth and change are slow processes. They of go unmarked and get glossed over in fiction. I have tried not to let that happen here. Thank you for reaffirming me in my decision. I am very grateful for that. I hope you continue to enjoy the story.
