    Saltarello

You’re so very kind and good to comment in this way. Frederick’s poetry was magnificent, so if this was but an echo of his work, then I can smile. And who could not help but want to look ahead to those days when we are masked and distant no more? Thank you very, very much.

    You’re most welcome. Thank you!
  4. Saltarello Do you yearn with ten kinds of desire, as I hum with anticipation, tuned to your deft caress, your strong embrace, your heat; and do you need skin on bare skin, and soft kisses before you enter me? You hold me in perfect harmony; the room hushed, our breathing the sweet notes; your knowing fingers play me like an instrument, lips touching shoulder blades, feet tangled, and I thrill, awaitin
  5. Of course I’ll want to know the contents of Meg’s latest tweet. More importantly, I’m waiting on more opportunities for Jake and Nic to spend time together becoming more comfortable with each other, not just having excellent sex. Something tells me Jake could be the kind of friend Nic needs.
  6. I felt windswept and wave-battered in reading this. You wrote artfully that I would sense the insensible stone.

    La Volta

It is; in renaissance times it took strength and energy to do such an intimate dance correctly. Thanks very much for reading and for your response.

    Courante

I hope the change of tempo was okay, and that you enjoyed the ride. Thank you very much for reading!

Your adjectives made me smile. Perhaps these hit the right notes after all. I’m very grateful for your response. Thank you. And yes, there’s a little more on the way.

That seems like a very apt connection . Thanks for thinking of that!

    Courante

I’m glad these were vivid and engaged your imagination. You’re most welcome. Thank you for reading!
  14. Courante Could we hug, and cuddle on the couch while the radio plays good old tunes, songs about summer and how love feels when you’re young and so sure of everything you know that you overlook what’s obvious? Lie with me, kiss me till I'm breathless, claim territory with fevered lips, not knowing where your skin stops and my own begins, let sweet contact's metamorphosis transform our twin desires into

Thanks so much for turning midFebruary into Christmas again. It makes the snow outside my window sparkle…
  16. There are indeed green shoots of hope springing up in this. Even though you recognized forever isn’t really what it seems, you’ve looked for the growth amid the brown curled leaves of loss.

    Evening Out

I feel for Eric. Often asea on this unfamiliar ocean, he has no idea how to steer or avoid awkward lee shores. In this instance, the experiences of lostness, loneliness and exile could hardly have done anything other than toss his emotions and thoughts into an unhappy jumble.

Lissome! Excellent word. I love it. And Liebe was being fractious when she was hungry.

What a birthday! CJ might annoy his dads by sticking to his guns over Northman, but there’s a good chance things will work out and further bite Northman in his poltroonish posterior.

    La Volta

@Aditus Yes, the blankets are ready to be thrown and the dance to be celebrated. But the snow blanket outside my window looks heavy, too. Thanks again for reading, and for your thoughts.

I’m very grateful you read these lines. That you felt they weren’t soulless or crude is a great affirmation. Thank you.

    La Volta

You're really kind to say that, though I have to wonder if there's really a textbook editor that would feel comfortable including this particular Skyscraper. There's a banquet in these seven lines. Thank you very much for your comments and thoughts.

    La Volta

It is indeed a good metaphor, or at least it is for me. You were very good to read this week's chapter, and I thank you for your response!
