The shire president may be trouble for them if he keeps putting out press bulletins like he did for the dedication ceremony. Jex is curious about what his dad said about him needing to take a better look at the bunker. I’m wondering if there’s something down there that he missed? Great story it’s great to see how much work they’ve put into getting the base back to what it looked like when it was operational during the war.

DA Ch 18 -- Official Opening
Butcher56 commented on quokka's story chapter in DA Ch 18 -- Official Opening
What a great chapter. I’m glad that the base has been dedicated and that those who never returned were remembered by the Governor General. The new home is now being utilized by the family and Jex is seeing it for the first time and has already commented on it to both his parents. There are two, two bedroom cabins as well as the administrative office across the deck from the main house. The two cabins are used by Jex and his brothers, the boys have one and Jex has his own. Jex is going to be going back to his original college to complete his training that way he’s available to help run the new museum while on break. -
Chapter 2 - Opposites Repel
Butcher56 commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 2 - Opposites Repel
It’s to bad that Jeremy and Steven can’t get together and see where things go from there. Who knows they might find out that they have a lot in common and they make a great couple. This trip to Jeremy’s house so Steven could charge his phone so he could call his mom to let her know where he was and then he could get the key from her so he could go home. -
DA Ch 17 - Vice Regal Visit
Butcher56 commented on quokka's story chapter in DA Ch 17 - Vice Regal Visit
The base is under some heavy guard, as they were waiting for the VIP’s to arrive. Jex found out that Hedley is going to be alright other than some ringing in his ears and possibly a bruise or two from the fall after the mine went off. Everyone is there now there and Jex has changed his clothes so the ceremony can start. -
I’m hoping that this new medicine will help Jeremy with his moods and his weight gain. I think the doctor needs to tell his staff that when Jeremy calls and needs something they need to notify him so that he can help Jeremy. Now Jeremy just has to go get a few new outfits to wear until he starts losing the weight he’s gained from the other medication. I know Brad doesn’t entirely like it when Jake goes out of town suddenly for work but at least he’s trying.

Things are going on at the airbase and even with soldiers there bombs have been placed on the sides of runway 1. As Jexon was going to land he spotted men on the runway which meant he had to divert to runway 2 which had a newly restored Liberator at the end of the runway. Jexon notified air traffic control of the bomb threat and asked that they notify the vip jet and tell them to land at Corunna Downs airfield. Jexon talked to the officer in charge and was informed that the first set of bombs were disarmed, then they heard two loud bangs and saw Hedley was knocked down. When Jexon got to him he discovered that the first section of the runway now for sure needed to be gone over again slower this time. Jexon let the medics check Hedley out to make sure he was alright other than the hearing loss and the concussion. I can’t wait to see the next chapter to see about the ceremony at the base.

There’s a lot going on for Jexon and his family because the airbase is right in the middle of whatever’s going on. After arriving in Canberra Jexon and Mrs Hill go to a private hanger at the airport, when they go in Jexon snaps to attention and salutes the major who introduces the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the Army, he’s also told that they are waiting for 4 more passengers and then they would be taking off with their destination Corona Airbase. He finds out that they’re going to have a small ceremony there.

It seems like Jexon is going to be going to the capital city for a week after informing the major of the existence of the dog tags and how they came about finding them. He’s also going to give the major a tour of the base.

Chapter 136 Double Dating
Butcher56 commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 136 Double Dating
Connor doesn’t understand Robbie at all, it seems like Connor only wants a boyfriend to have sex with all the time. Nathan in the hospital after getting beat up is a sign that there maybe more trouble with Alex in the future. That’s if this situation was because of drugs and Alex is involved, although it could have been this Ryan as well that beat Nathan up. Jo was right about Robbie becoming complicit in a drug bust by giving Alex the $2000.00 because no one would believe that he gave him the money to buy groceries. -
DA Ch 11 - Discovery Below
Butcher56 commented on quokka's story chapter in DA Ch 11 - Discovery Below
The deal is underway with the Parkinson’s for the partnership between the two families for the operations of the two stations. Jexon has solved a seven year old police case about stolen pearls and diamonds that were never recovered. He couldn’t figure out why an escaped prisoner would be spying on the abandoned airbase, then he wakes up during the night after calling out diamonds, after waking up his dad knocked on the door asking if he was alright as they had heard him call out. After going out to the air base and searching the bunker they found what they were looking for and then took it back to their temporary home. -
With Jexon and his family selling Hillside and moving to the airbase as permanent caretakers their lives should start getting back to normal for them. I wonder if Jexon is going to put his veterinary clinic on or near the base or if he’s going to be a traveling veterinarian? Great chapter it’s to bad that the homestead at hillside has been damaged so bad by the wanted man.

Fantastic start to the story. I think I understand how Asher and Caleb feel about the pandemic and the pain of not being able to do the things that we’re used to doing. Asher is really nervous about the feelings he has for Caleb, he can’t even get his question out about them becoming a couple. The great thing about it is that Caleb didn't get mad about the letter in fact when he took his dog out for a walk and Asher met up with them Caleb said they should go get a couple of slices of pizza as soon as they’re allowed to reopen the pizza place they like.

The beginning of the chapter was eerie but it explains the situation that made Bailey not be able to speak and left another crewman dead due to an accident aboard the naval ship. After that dream was over he looked at Harlan who just snuggled into his neck and kissed him. I think those two are going to make a great couple. Elias is going to get his own cabin built if Greg and Clay give him the ok. This way he’ll get his workshop and living quarters all in one place on the campground not away from everyone else. It seems like he’s taking a liking to Rayne we’ll have to wait and see where it goes from here.

What a great way to end the story of Brad. I hope that the graduates of the class of 2022 take what he said in his speech and apply themselves to whatever they set their minds to. I think him telling how he wasn’t such a good student while he attended Walls himself and then enlisting in the army was what helped him become a better man. Then after his rehab and during the time he was getting used to his prosthetic legs he spent time at a fantastic place for homeless veterans Heroes Haven he realized that by speaking with the vets he realized that he had a better chance of becoming what he wanted to be. I’m hopping that there will be more about Brad in the future to see if his dream is realized or not. Thanks for the great opportunity to read about another character from the original story.

I’m glad that Huck has taken the initiative to be back with Rayne. Since pastor Rogers told Huck he couldn’t help him any more he decided he wanted Rayne back. I hope it works out for them, because Rayne needs the love and support of his dad. I’m glad that Huck met Rayne’s rescuer Bailey and personally thanked him for saving Rayne. I think this thing with Harlan and Bailey will be a great thing for them both.

I wonder how long the man had been camping on the property? I’m glad that Jexon spotted the reflection but didn’t react to it like most people would, instead he just continued to do his survey of the aircraft pit then he got back into his plane and took off. Jexon stayed low so that he could get a better position on the trespasser before he called someone to get the police on their way. He met with a police Sargent who was in his personal vehicle and informed him about the direction the man went then went back to his plane so he could guide the police to where the man was.

Harlan still is a scary person to many people, now that the good pastor David Rogers has been warned that he is to stop preaching about god saying that being gay is a sin. I hope that he doesn’t start preaching about gays or if he does it will be very bad for him as his own sins will be brought out one by one which will hurt him big time. I agree with mollyhousemouse that everyone needs a Harlan in their life and on their side. I hope the pastor leaves Huck alone as well so that he can start rebuilding his life with his son.

Jexon now has a bit of a reputation as being a pilot who likes to do barrel rolls with passengers in his plane. The historical site of the WWII base is beginning to take shape again as long as they can have people following the rules.

New Encounters – Far and Near
Butcher56 commented on Tallguyct's story chapter in New Encounters – Far and Near
Tommy is playing a very hard game that could possibly get him caught in something that he shouldn’t be involved with in the first place. With him only being 16 years old and talking to these guys who are well over 18 could cause him some problems if he ever got caught looking at pornography websites and even more if he’s caught looking at gay porn. I have a feeling that his neighbor wants to hook up with him for some fun that only 2 guys would enjoy, Tommy might enjoy that as well since he has fantasized about doing things with him. I hope he continues to enjoy fucking himself with his ice cream scoop while fantasizing about getting fucked by the other guys who he skypes with. -
I also think that this chapter does explain a lot about why Tristan left the coven and also the reason behind his hatred of Kersin. I hope that with time he can forgive his mother for her part of the cover up on his skill level among other things. Thanks for the great chapter about Tristan it was enjoyable to read.

I think this is going to be a very interesting story to read. Jex has his own plane and a base of operations for his veterinary practice. The nice thing about it is that it’s located near the family’s cattle station on an old WWII base that was going to be the site of a pit mining operation.

I’m glad that Rayne is not seriously hurt after his accident at the river this morning. After returning to the campground he told Jeremy that he wanted to talk to Bailey, Greg had prepared a grilled cheese sandwich and a mug of tomato soup which Bailey took over to Rayne’s cabin. After going in and setting the plate and mug down on the coffee table, Rayne asked why he’d saved him from drowning, Bailey typed his answer out on his phone and showed it to Rayne. Rayne realized that he wasn’t able to speak and then they both had an emotional response to the situation. Bailey held onto Rayne while he cried as he got his own emotions under control, afterward he decided to just stay in his cabin and read. Harlan made a comment about Bailey being such a great singer and that upset Bailey because it brought back memories of losing his ability to speak much less sing. I hope he’s going to be alright. Fantastic chapter, I don’t like the way that Rayne is pushed aside by his dad especially after almost drowning.

Another fantastic chapter in the story of Kieran and his group. I’m glad that they’re back after so long, I also know how life can throw curve balls at us and they sometimes hit when we least expect them to. I hope that your writers block is gone for awhile at least.

What a great chapter Brad was the best choice for the face of the documentary about Heroes Haven, A Home For Warriors. It seems like the documentary is being very well received by the public and the private screenings. I really liked the fact that Brads parents came to support him at the private screening held at the Kennedy Library, he did very well with his speech.

Chapter 5 - The Unstoppable Verin Hax
Butcher56 commented on Comicality's story chapter in Chapter 5 - The Unstoppable Verin Hax
Orrin has it bad when it comes to Cerian, he gets excited about what they could possibly do together and when he goes to talk to him he gets a lump in his throat. I really like Vern he’s fast on and off his feet when he’s avoiding the soldier’s that are trying to catch him.
