Excellent chapter. It’s a shame that they weren’t able to go on the kayaking trip that they had planned for, first Chris texted Jacob to let him know that Bailey had come down with chicken pox and he might be infected as well. Then Jacob let Nat know what was up and Nat then called the colonel to let him know and to find out if Will had had the chicken pox before and he had so that was a good thing, Jacob had plans to go to the Canadian Consulate the day after Christmas and he called Langley to see if he had the chicken pox before and if not there would be no way he could go over. Langley said he hadn’t had them so Jacob didn’t get to go over there. Jacob and Will came up with a plan to do a 7 day hike instead of the kayak trip, which was approved by Nat. I’m glad that Jacob was able to spend Christmas with his parents, Nanny Afya, and Uncle Nat, since he didn’t get to see his parents last year.

What a fantastic chapter. The Jeweler is still trying to get Justin to work with his full potential and not hold back. He used another of his servants to act as Taryn to get Justin to use his abilities and let go of his anger so that he could be the mimic he’s supposed to be. I’m beginning to not like the Jeweler, I hope he’s going to actually help Justin to get to be the mimic and not at the expense of Taryn. Justin needs Taryn to be able to focus more and not spiral out of control.

Excellent chapter as usual. I’m glad in a way that Jacob won’t be climbing anymore mountains for awhile as the publicity that is associated with the successful climb up and down. After climbing the Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps he and Nat had to move due to the media hounding them wanting a story to go with the others he has been in due to the fact that after the Matterhorn he has climbed 12 mountains with Nat until the Matterhorn when Nat came down with some kind of stomach virus. The plan now is to do some kind of trek beginning the day after Christmas, he was originally supposed to go to the South Coast of Tasmania which would have been a 7 day hike. I think it’s great that the suggestion of asking his CUO or Cadet Under Officer Chris Harding to go with him, except Chris’s mom didn’t like the Tasmania hike so they decided to do a 7 day kayaking trip instead which will be in Australia. I like how Jacob has his plans all figured out as what he wants to do for the foreseeable time. I can’t wait to read how his next adventure goes also to read whether he gets into the army or not and if he does if he’ll keep the rank of corporal or not due to his security clearance that he got because of the issues he and Nat found themselves in.

Excellent chapter. I agree that this would be a great time to start planting some trees, I don’t know how much more lumber they’ll get out of what trees they have already. I’m thinking that they only have about two thirds of what they started with when Edwin & Archie first arrived at the land they purchased upon arrival in Australia. The little Hamlet is starting to become quite a site of buildings, they have the blacksmith shop, produce stand, school house, community hall, the O’Grady house as well as a house for their parents and two sisters. In order to keep it from getting any bigger they built a fence around the Hamlet. This is a great story about the people who come to Australia to begin new lives and attempt to become better than they were before. Each family has made most of the same sacrifices as other pioneers have made while others such as the Applegate family made shortly after they arrived in Australia and moved to their new farm land, losing their father and sister to sickness leaving Florence a widow and the boys without a father or sister. Archie, Edwin have really made the most of what their time since arriving, the first thing they did was to start an area for the animals, vegetable garden, next they started to build their new house.

I agree that this was another excellent chapter. I’m glad that Jacob had the forethought to alter his appearance in order to avoid the media which worked well from Japan to Sydney he then changed his appearance again before they flew on home to Adelaide. This was all due to the publicity of the successful climb up Thunder Mountain which is said to be one of the most difficult ones because of the changes in the weather changes the higher you go. Jacob and Nat made it to the summit and then they called Jacob’s mom to let her know they were at the summit, it was overheard by some of her coworkers who had alerted the media. After they were safely back at the base of the mountain they called his mom again to let her know they were safely down and they asked her to arrange a small plane to pick them up and take them back to Yellowknife the next day, the pilot showed them the newspaper and they were on the front page again so they didn’t go back to Yellowknife instead they went to Fort Providence and they called Jacob’s mom and asked if she could please bring their luggage to them which is a 4 hour trip. Jacob also asked his mom if she could call the school and let them know that he would be late getting back due to the extra time it took to get back down to the base of the mountain. I think Jacob is going to have to do another assembly after this climb. I’ll have to wait and see what happens next for both Jacob and Nat.

I agree that this is a very excellent chapter. The book is a great tool for everyone to learn from, meaning that Bullying is bad for everyone especially the GLBT. CJ has become quite the celebrity due to the book and it’s popularity, I also believe part of his popularity has been because of the fact that he lives the things that he and Trip put in the book. CJ is a black belt in more than one martial arts, and has used what he’s learned from his training for those martial arts. I hope the book continues to do well and people will follow what CJ & Trip have put into it as ways to keep bullies in their place.

Oh no Jacob’s first command and he messed it up right after he had briefed the other senior cadets on what they were to expect from the detail. After that Langley came back in he told Jacob that he had just met him and thanked him for looking out for him, Jacob said he wasn’t doing this as a special favor to him he was doing it because he was ordered to do it. That made Langley very upset and he ran from the room, the Deputy Headmaster came in and asked what he had done and he told her that he had been insensitive and he would go find him and apologize to him. As he went to the hall he didn’t see any sign of Langley he was about to go look elsewhere only he was distracted by his cell phone vibrating. I hope that Langley is okay and Jacob has a chance to apologize to him about his actions in the conference room.

I agree with both drpaladin and Wesley8890 the trust placed in Anyas was misplaced especially when they are taken to another part of the planet they were on that was where the Elite’s were. Anyas is giving Kohen to them in exchange for his freedom. I hope this is part of the plan that he didn’t know about, he didn’t even get to talk to the captain as he was still knocked out and in his cell. I’m with Wesley8890 in the waiting until next week to get the next chapter.

Another excellent chapter. I’m loving this story, I’m jealous of Jacob with all the trekking adventures he and Nathan have been doing. I think it’s great that they have a home in Marangu that way they can save money for hotel accommodation. Jacob was surprised that when Nanny Afya said that he was a cub in Swahili and he replied that he wasn’t a cub anymore that he was grown up in Swahili back to her. Nathan told him that the family still owns the property and that Jacob was conceived there and lived there until he was 5 months old, his parents and him returned to Australia for awhile then back to Marangu until he was 5 years old. It turns out that Nanny Afya took care of Jacob when the family lived there. This was a tough Christmas for jacob as it was the first time he had not been with his mom for the holiday. Jacob and Nathan spent time getting ready for the trek to climb Mt Kilimanjaro as well as cleaning the bungalows on the family property and then the day of the climb came and a Dutch man said that he thought Jacob was a bit too young to make the climb. I can’t wait to read how it goes for them and where they are going to go next break from school. I’m glad that Jacob is keeping the Deputy Headmaster informed about his trips as she is very interested in his adventures.

Excellent chapter as usual. I’m glad that Jacob is able to speak to his mum at least once a week that way he doesn’t miss her so much. I think it’s great that he and Nat as he calls his uncle are able to go on more adventures and they have climbed many more peaks during the treks they went on. Next they’re heading to Queensland to climb Mt Bartle Frere. I have a feeling that the Deputy Headmaster Miss Hampton is wanting him to do another assembly showing his adventures with his uncle. This is a great story and I enjoy reading it every time a new chapter posts.

Excellent chapter. I’m glad that Edwin asked Florence to be his wife and she said yes that she would be honored to be his wife. Archie congratulated them both on the proposal and up coming wedding. It was agreed that the wedding would be Sunday after the church service, Augustus agreed to make the wedding bands and upon hearing what the brothers had decided to build a produce stand close to his shop said he would make the tip box to hold the money that people can use to pay for the items they get. I like the idea that Archie came up with for the sign saying nothing is free, pay what you can or barter with something you have. It seems like everyone’s accepting the proposal including the 3 sons of Florence and her first husband who died from sickness shortly after they came to Australia.

I’m glad that the elf prince sent someone to check out the situation as to why they were not able to get any response to emails and telephone calls didn’t get through to either Worthington,Jamie or Brandon. The elf that came was surprised by what he saw as the cause of the interference being the soldiers and mages surrounding the camp. After speaking to Worthington the elf was let back out from inside the barrier that Jamie had surrounding the camp to keep the soldiers and the mages outside. I’m glad that the elf agreed that the mages and soldiers surrounding the camp were not to be killed, he said that he would pass the word that they should be humiliated and captured. We’ll see soon how many elves and others show up to help Worthington and the others so that they can get out when the camp is supposed to be over.

Excellent chapter. I love the adventures that Nathan is taking Jacob on except for the former soldier who was following them on the last trek. I’m glad that they decided to split up after seeing the news report showing the two of them at the top of the mountain in New Zealand where they were unaware that the guide video taped them as well as taking a few pictures. When they were at the airport Nathan turned on his phone and immediately got missed calls from his boss and Jacobs parents. I hope Nathan doesn’t get into trouble over what the guide did to them at the summit of the mountain. I hope they don’t have any more surprises from Brooks the man who was following them on their last trek.

This was an excellent chapter. I think it’s great that they thought enough ahead to think it was time to build a school house so that the children would have somewhere other than the dining room of the house to hold their lessons. Especially since they met the O’Grady family the students have grown from 3- 4 students to 5 then they meet their other neighbors the Barrington family who has 5 children more for the school. Mr Barringtonis a blacksmith by trade so they decided to build a work shop with a forge for Mr Barrington across the track from the school. There’s now a school and a blacksmith on the Cameron property, while Florence, Mark and Adam were in town a Methodist minister came up to them to see if they would be willing to hold a service on Sunday morning, she said she didn’t see a problem with that but would ask Edwin about it, it was decided that he would use the school to hold the service in. Then while they were waiting for Mr Overton to get their order ready the boys heard some squealing and went to investigate the sound and returned shortly with each holding a squealing piglet asking if they could get some to take back to the farm with them, Florence said they would have to talk to Edwin about it and Mr Overton said that since Edwin was such a good customer he would give them a few free of charge. Florence told the boys that the piglets were not pets and they would be slaughtered for food. She was also told that the land office had decided that the property her family had gotten when they first arrived would be divided in half as they were getting new neighbors again. To me I think it’s great that they’re getting more people moving in around them which is a reason to possibly need to expand the school house.

Awesome chapter. I agree that Jacob is quite the adventurer with all of the hiking he and his uncle did for his school break before Christmas, and now a trip to Mount Cook in New Zealand. The reason for the next location is because they were stalked by a man with a high powered rifle during the previous trip, which Jacob spotted while going through the pictures of the trip he took. He was using the spare desk and computer in his uncles office at the army base where Uncle Nathan is stationed with the rank of Major, as Jacob was going through the photos he started noticing the man who was in quite a few of the photos. While waiting for the DIO officer to arrive Jacob remembered the photos he had deleted and he went to the computer recycle bin and retrieved them which showed a few more of the man. Also while they were waiting the Brigadier had the area outside the office locked down so that no one could get into the hallway outside the office and an MP was stationed in the hall, once the DIO officer arrived she said hello to the Brigadier and Nathan who she called by name, then she asked who Jacob was and then she said that she had last seen him when he was 8 months old. She then produced a card from her purse for Jacob which is his security clearance which gives him the same clearance as his uncle. Nathan then spoke up about his leaving his camera at his apartment he got on the phone and said to the person on the other end that he was to get Nathan’s keys from the MP outside the office and then go to pick up the camera at his apartment, a short time later the man called and said the door was kicked in and then the Brigadier ordered MP’s to go to the apartment and secure it and then see what damage was done. Jacob asked if since Nathan’s apartment was broke into if his house had been broken into as well since they had been there that morning before coming to the base. MP’s were sent to the house and found that it had also been broken into. The camera that the soldier was sent to get had been broken into pieces and the memory card was missing from it, Nathan remembered that he had put a new memory card in the camera and put the one he took out in his wallet. They found a few more photos that had the man who was identified as a dishonorably discharged Lieutenant James Baxter who was the first one that Nathan had to handle the discharge and he testified during his hearing about why he was being discharged. Jacob asked his parents to not go home and to come to the base which they were not to happy about when they were informed of the situation. They all had to find new places to live because of the break in’s and the ongoing threat of James Baxter causing more problems. Jacob and his parents moved into an apartment owned by the mining company his dad works for and Nathan moved into accommodations on the base. At another time while Jacob was talking to Nathan he was asked if he was up for another adventure, he said he was and he was told he would need a passport as they’re going to New Zealand if Jacob is able to get permission from his parents. I’m looking forward to the next chapter to see if Jacob gets permission to go and also to see if James Baxter has been caught.

I also tend to agree with drpaladin as the group is now in the hands of Anyas. The fact that everyone except Kohen and Danie are immobilized is surprising as they are the most dangerous of them all. I can only hope that the plan that Anyas has put into action is just as he said it was and that is a different version than the other Elites heard according to him, this being his chance to escape from the planet. I also agree with Dr John NYC in that Cia keeps upping the ante on suspense in this story. I think we’re just going to have to wait and see what comes about with this plan, if it’s really a way for Anyas to get away from the planet.

Excellent chapter. I think Kitryn is right about the volume of the noise they made during their workout and he’s also right about others probably getting in a workout of their own after hearing them during their workout. I hope the mage is able to help with the Cheryl problem as well as helping Fran with her ability. I believe they have a long way to go before the Cheryl problem is finished.

I’m glad that Edwin and Archie are including their younger brother Simeon in the discussion of how they should divide the rest of the property they have. The discussion was whether they should divide the other 20,700 plus acres left into paddocks and how big they should be, Archie asked if it involved building more fences and Edwin said it would. The next thing was that they would divide up 10,350 acres into paddocks of 2,550 acres each. The day after Christmas Edwin was up early and had just got a fire going when he heard a horse and buggy outside the back door and a man hollering is anyone home, he turned out to be their new neighbor between them and the Applegate farm, his name is Shamus O’Grady he and his family have 5,200 acres of land and they don’t have much to show for the time they’ve been on the farm. Mr O’Grady stated that they had a one room shack and a small amount of livestock and he asked Edwin if they could help them out. Edwin stated that they would give them some things to get them by in exchange for a good days work out of him and his son who is 15 and they should be there at 6 am the next day, when they arrived Edwin was surprised to see the whole family ready to work. There was enough work for the family as well as the Camden and Applegate boys to do. I hope that Edwin and Archie can show them how to build their home bigger so that the entire family is able to have their own space to call their own as well as digging a well, an outhouse, as well as crops that are easy to start. I can’t wait to read how much they actually do for the O’Grady family get their farm up and producing their crops. Excellent chapter.

It seems like Worthington & Jamie have a great fight on their hands with the government capturing or tricking the mages into service. I have a feeling that they will come out ahead as they have been in worse conditions before or close to it when they were fighting the demons. The government mages outside the camp are going to be a problem in that with them out there they have no way to get assistance from outside the camp. What Worthington did to the soldier who was captured was horrifying but necessary for him to get the information he needed to find out about the mages outside the camp. Even though he enjoyed it he was sickened by it as well because he enjoyed what he was doing, he used the technique he did to break the control that had been placed in the soldiers mind to think and act as if what he was doing was of his own free will. Worthington was able to find out that the government has facilities in different places all over the country where they take the mages they capture for retraining.

Awesome chapter. I hope that Simeon is alright, he didn’t seem to be feeling well, it could be from all of the traveling he’s done to get to Australia. Of course it could be homesickness as he was sent to live with Edwin and Archie in Australia, after seeing the bagpipes and hearing Archie play Amazing Grace it’s possible that it brought on some homesickness. With the new arrival of more livestock they’ll be able to get some good wool from the sheep.

If Robbie were to get the help he needs for his health and well-being it would expose Don and Sue’s homophobia as well as the emotional abuse he’s under which would then allow Robbie to remove Don from being the trustee of his trust. This would also make it very easy for Robbie to get out from under the parental control of Don and Sue.

Awesome chapter. I think this birthday turned out to be a great one with all of their friends and family around them at some point in the weekend. I have never heard of anything about the prohibition era described in such a way, it would be interesting to know that there were places that did as Owen described in this chapter about 21 and them having a wine cellar under the next building so that they would be able to say that there was no liquor on the premises. I hope the rest of the weekend goes well for the squad as they are referred to.

I loved this chapter, it really shows the way that the guys feel about the way others around them. The way that they interact with each other is always a laugh, especially when they can get one over on the homophobes around them. I’m glad that Nathan is willing to meet with Robbie in person so that they could talk about things and hopefully they’ll walk away still friends. I hope that at some point Don decides to leave Robbie alone and let him live the way he wants to, if he’s gay so what let him know that you’re there if he needs someone to talk to not be the one person who is constantly trying to turn him straight.

This was an Awesome chapter. Jacob has had quite the adventure during his time with his uncle. Now that they have returned home they find out that their time together isn’t over as Jacob’s parents are away for a weekend holiday and aren’t due to return until Monday afternoon. Because they won’t be home until Monday afternoon Uncle Nat as Jacob calls him had to take Jacob to the base with him making sure that he had time to go back to his house to retrieve his cadet uniform, once he had his uniform and another change of clothes they headed for the base. Once they were on the base they went to Nathan’s office where Jacob took the empty desk and started reviewing the pictures they took while on their holiday, as he was going through the pictures on the computer he was about to delete another one because it was to blurry to really see anything, then he spotted something that looked out of place and after enlarging it he saw a man watching them, he had his uncle look at it and then his uncle called for a priority 2, right after that Jacob heard a siren go off and he jumped a little bit his uncle told him that it was okay as it was part of the alert. When uncle Nathan returned to his office Jacob had a total of 7 pictures up on the big screen in the office, once they reviewed those ones Nathan was asked to take Jacob to the administration building where they went into a conference room to wait. The Brigadier came in with a folder which he put on the table and put his hand on it meaning that it was classified, he asked Jacob to stand and to repeat after him. What Jacob didn’t know was that he was swearing his oath to the queen and her heirs as well as the country. Afterwards he had to sign two forms one of which was to give him a security clearance and his uncle informed him that he was the youngest person, as well as the only cadet sworn in to the army. This seems like it’s going to be a great story and I can’t wait to read more chapters.

Excellent chapter. It was an awesome surprise for Edwin & Archie when they arrived in town to drop off the goods they brought with them from the farm,. While they were talking to Mr Harkin he said he would put some of the goods aside for he and his wife , when Mr Harkin came back in he introduced his wife to the brothers and then he told her to go get the special parcel, when she came back in and then stepped aside the special parcel turned out to be their brother Simeon. Archie started telling Simeon about the farm and all of the animals they had, then Edwin reminded Archie to tell Simeon about the Applegate family that was living with them. It will be interesting to see how things are going now that Simeon is living with them on the farm.
