Make sure you press them down really well. I use wet hands and then a glass or something. I bake them in a dark pan for 25 minutes, not the full 30.

Okay.. Editing done for today... Baking done.. i made these the other day, changed somewhat for me and Michael.. no dark chocolate. Milk chocolate and white chocolate and pecans and Splenda brown sugar.. But they are super easy and super yummy. https://thewholecook.com/healthy-chocolate-chip-oat-bars/#wprm-recipe-container-34031 Dinner will be butter chicken, with some lentils and rice. I hope you all are having a super-duper day.

I am distilling my story. Chopping out swathes is hard, but necessary. Have a nice (but cold) Sunday.

Happy Saturday and International Zebra Day! They are just beautiful. Enjoy this pair! Have a fantastic day. I'm going to do some more butchering of my story. What fun!

Nope, i just thought they looked good. But if the popsicle fits...

You need an electric suit until the car is fixed. This is from Wally World at CAD $50.00 And from Amazon:

It took me a few minutes to figure out it is Friday, this morning. Several clues i had were wrong, so it is not yet Saturday. As well, our furnace decided not work overnight, it was rather chilly this morning, and we still have extreme cold alerts today and tonight. The furnace guy showed this morning. Yay. Have a fantastic day, and please try to avoid becoming a popsicle.

Happy Freezing Thursday ... we got an official cold weather/frostbite alert today! Keep warm out there. Today is Do you like puzzles? Jigsaw, crosswords, cryptograms, Sudoku or others? I like all these myself and do them often, less so jigsaws cuz of the space needed for them. But i like them. So, since it's so cold .. Wrap up and do a puzzle of some sort!

Happy Wednesday! It's also Pop Art Day. I cannot draw for beans, so, any artists out there?

Here's to 50 more, Gary!

Good luck? Is that the right thing to say?

Yes, it is early (6am) .. i've been going to bed at 10pm and actually sleeping. It feels good. I hope all of you have a super Tuesday. Enjoy a bit of Mozart today, it's his birthday!

And ... 3000 words later, i am pretty nearly done my latest story. Don't all jump up and down, i've still got to edit it etc. Luckily, for me, i had little to do today other than shovel every couple of hours. I'm excited about this one...i like it a lot.

Hmm, our prissy poodle (he wasn't prissy at all) loved snow. He was a mini that thought he was a standard, Michael more than once had to pull him out of snow drifts he was sure he could run through.

Muffins?

You too. I hope it keeps blowing away for you. Keep warm, have hot chocolate ready!!

The snow has started here, it looks like a couple of inches so far. We will be out shovelling it throughout the day to keep it manageable. Michael was saying he's glad he no longer has to drive in it to rescue idiots that could just not stay home, or were delusional enough to think they had the skills to drive in it with or without a vehicle that was ready for snow. I hated when he was on duty and was out in these massive storms - like a cat on a hot tin roof. He is still frustrated with people who do not do some preparation and decide it's a good day to go shopping after a foot of snow has fallen. I know there are people who must get to work....cops, fire, paramedics, docs, nurses etc. but if you have the option to stay home, do that. Companies should also realize how dangerous it is and allow people to be off, or work from home. Maybe it's time to think of people before money - yeah i know, what am i thinking? When i was at the bank they stopped allowing us to leave early...one snowmageddon it took me nearly six hours (normal time to home was 45 minutes on the bus) to get home and one brave Uber driver who got a massive tip. It's scary out there, and we have to stop pretending it's all okay. People can easily die in this weather (and other massive storms around the world). Oh, btw, happy Sunday. Take care of yourselves.

Happy Saturday. Today i have green peppers to chop up and freeze, cuz i used up my previous supply. I'm going to make Shepard's Pie for dinner ... it's my family recipe and my fav comfort food. Michael loves it too. Not sure what else i may do. I am working on a story idea for the Anthology and thinking about an ending for a story that's at 25k words. If you're somewhere cold, make sure you keep warm and dress smartly if heading outside. I have zero plans to go out over the next few days. We've been warned there maybe exploding trees. That's not as exciting as it sounds, but it's loud.

Haha, that was great, thanks for writing all of that out! Where we live there are no mountains, sadly. I read in a tourist pamphlet once that Canadians spend a lot of time indoors because it's too hot in summer and too cold in winter. I used to ask people who move here from warm places, why? Why would you come to freezing winters and boiling summers? I guess there's more than weather. lol.

omg it is so fecking cold! 10F feels like -16F in the wind.. the heat is on, but not helping much... the inside of the windows were attacked by jack frost. i cannot see outside.. likely for the best. Currently there is a call for some snow on Sunday.. i'm gonna go put my woolies on!

Thanks Gary.

i'm kinda hot too, but only cuz i was outside shovelling yet more snow.. lol Congrats on looking hotter and being happy. xo

Today is Lincoln Alexander Day in Canada. Mr. Alexander was our first Black member of Parliament (1968), he was lawyer and become Lieutenant-governor of Ontario among his accomplishments.

As long as they are not those 'fast' zombies. Geez, i hate those.

Happy Whatever Day It Is .... i know things seem bad and frustrating, but do what i do and say F That! Sometimes, keeping your world small, is the best thing for your mental health. Eat well, dress warmly (it's howling here and is currently 8F /feels like -15F in the wind) or not if you're somewhere warm and do something you enjoy, don't stare at your phone or social media or the news, just don't ... i have socks to knit! Here's something interesting ...
