  1. i'm sorry this is late, i'm getting over some crappy virus. I'm glad you enjoyed this one Parker, it was a beautiful morning. xo
  2. What do i think? Well, i think this author should perhaps consider writing more stuff for us to read. Maybe publishing his stories? This is another interesting story, where the truth depends on who you are talking to. Excellent.

    Chapter 1

Hmm, indeed. My brain isn't working too well because i have some horrible virus and can't sleep for more than three hours. Perhaps the old guy knew it was possible to get sent elsewhere within the hereafter? Perhaps its normal to jump around...i guess that would stop you from becoming bored. And how are deliveries sent to the Hereafter? So many questions!
  5. This is a sweet tale of unconditional love offered by dogs. They also help us to see the world differently and sometimes help open the lines of communication between ourselves. In this we see Buster do that for Jake and his family and also John. Don't miss this one.

    Chapter 1

A super sweet story of love and loyalty. There's nothing quite like the love of a dog. Thanks for this excellent offering.
  7. An excellent story for the theme of this anthology. I recommend reading it. I just hope things don't truly end this way. Great job.

    Chapter 1

I enjoyed your take on the anthology theme very much. The hereafter does not sound like a good place to be.

    Deeper Dive

Creepy, and well done. Maybe they managed to get Magneto's mutant conversion machine to work.

    Chapter 1

Oh, i loved the scene with Father Alexander. You expressed his shock and disbelief so well. Dunwood Lake? Loved it. But i enjoyed all of it, truth be told. It's a great story and I hope you'll consider a few more chapters in the future.

    Chapter 1

i believe i mentioned i like this twisted tale when i first read it.. i still like it.
  14. Thanks. i don't know what this is but geez, it's bad. Michael doesn't stop normally, but He cannot get through the day without a nap. i've never seen Him take a week off work. Anyway, thank you. i'm sure we'll get through it.
  15. It's Thursday, World Bread Day, and there's a quarantine notice on our front door. (Not really, but it sounds good.) We are and are still sick. I don't know what this disease is, but it can do one. Bread, in some form, is available in every country. i'd love to try them all. Have a good one peoples.
  16. Ugh. Happy whatever day it is. Have a good one.
  17. Soup is simmering, so that's dinner. I decided no to rice or noodles and put in a potato. There are carrots, onion, celery, garlic and some peas and corn. I have some frozen spinach so i may put some in later on. Lots of veggies and stuff. Giving the men some nibbles and a cup of tea at the moment. I am working on a story...currently at 22k words. i sort of know how it ends but i'm not sure how much longer it will be. It's my just for me story, meaning i write it when i'm in the mood. I like writing stories that appear after i write an opening sentence. It's kind of organic after that. I much prefer that to other ways, it works well for me. The 2024 anthology was written this way.. i just wrote a sentence.. "I don't believe this, Charlie!" Then wrote a story around that. I guess it's kind of a self-prompt. I'm hoping i can squeeze out a couple of hundred words before dog walking in 30 minutes. See you all later.
  18. It's Tuesday and i am having one of my on-going headaches. The Men are still sick. Michael has taken a day off (argh, nearly unheard of but He's not well). Yesterday, i didn't do a lot because i'd slept so little i felt like a zombie (well maybe not THAT bad) but i did roast the turkey carcass in the air fryer and then made stock. Today I will make some turkey noodle or turkey rice soup. Danny and Michael have no appetite and eating is hard so, i thought maybe some soup would be easier for them. Anyway, that's my life lately. Right, it's Tuesday and it is Ada Lovelace Day. Ada was fascinated by machines and read as much as she could about them. She designed many. She also was friends with Charles Babbage, who is considered the 'father of the computer'. You can read more about Ada Lovelace here. And to keep @weinerdog happy here is a little short song, Daisy, sung by a computer in the early 60's.
  19. In the still of predawn above the stars wait gracefully for the day to cover night. with the light comes an awakening birds sing squirrels chitter eyes open and the business of living is started once more Before the light we walk, beneath the few city stars, dog nearby it is cool and most blessedly quiet I could live in this moment forever In peace with only our murmured words and footsteps
  20. Or Whatever you are celebrating, enjoy!!
  21. Happy Sunday. Not so much around here. For various reasons...i didn't want to do a big meal, but here i am, doing it alone while other people are too sick. i think i'm next, but i'll cook this turkey today. lol Oh and i have dog duty as well for the moment. Our friend's mom passed away last night, and i'm not sure how much longer pup will be here with us as our friend looks after things. i couldn't sleep again last night...i just lay there until Michael shot out of bed at 3:30am, after sitting up for a bit we went back to sleep until 8ish...He's not feeling good at all, and has just now gone back to bed after a cup of tea and a little food. am i whining.. yes. Yes i am but i will get it done. One good thing i discovered is: Cenk Enes Ozer an author whose books were pulled from shelves in his homeland of Turkey after the coup attempt. He'd written nine of them. He arrived in Canada in 2016 and chose food and rent over writing. He worked hard, learned English at night and has now published his first book in English called, When the Devil Loves: A Mythic Fantasy of Creation, Exile, and Redemption I love books that look at the different sides of people or beings, as none are all evil or all good. We are layered and conflicted, as is 'the devil' in this book. Was he cast out, or did he just walk away? It's excellent and available on Kindle Unlimited.
  22. Yeah.. i let people wait on me as much as possible. haha
  23. He asked if that was a threat.
  24. Yeah, eat what you enjoy. I sort of didn't want a turkey either but i was out voted. This one has been defrosting in the fridge and will be ready to cook tomorrow. We only got a twelve pound one so it won't take too long to cook. The pumpkin custard came out nice. I hope your mom feels better soon. xo
  25. Lots of rest, haha. He isn't good at that, but he did sleep a couple of hours.
