  1. Happy Birthday, Dianjin!
  2. I'm so glad you decided to stay! I must confess I seldom read your more serious things, but that's only because I'm weak. I wish no one should have to deal with haters!
  3. I love this story and I love elks. (Apropos: What's the plural for moose? The same as singular?)

  6. I really like it, you make it look as awesome as it is. Sometimes it's a struggle to get out of bed even.
  7. A Facebook entry made me think of one of the cult animations of my childhood: Time Masters. As a child, I was having nightmares because of it, it's not really a tale for little kids, more a sci-fi for young adults. The French-Hungarian co-production was legendary to those days, 60 artists were working on it for almost 3 years. Thanks to IMDb, there is a parents guide, what says 6 years and above for Germany, the age 13 for Argentina seems more appropriate. Synopsis from IMdB: Piel, a little boy, is left marooned on the planet Perdide after both his parents have been killed by giant hornet-like aliens. Thankfully an emergency transmitter provides him with instantaneous communication with Jaffar, an adventurer who was a friend of his father. This Jaffar convinces the current passengers on his ship, an exiled prince and princess, that a rescue mission must be undertaken. Its a long way to Perdide though, so Jaffar first picks up an old technician who knows that planet. Together with two telepathic aliens they start their mission to save Piel, all the time talking to the boy and trying to avoid him walking into danger. But on the way to Perdide, Jaffar and his friends encounter a lot of trouble themselves, including a hive of malignant angels and what seems to be a traitor in their midst The featureless angels give me the creeps :-P Back then I had a comic book made with the stills of the film, it's a rarity nowadays, I'll have to search for it in the attic at my parents house.
  8. Happy Internaut Day! The Internaut Day is celebrated on August 23, anniversary of the World Wide Web, which was developed in the CERN laboratories (Enquire / EV project) in Switzerland during 1989 - 1990, and opened to new users after that day in 1991. Thanks to sir Tim Berners-Lee. - wikipedia
  9. It's a great idea, I would like a dictionary other than urban dictionary very much. I don't know how I could participate, but I would like to help.
  10. *hugs* I don't think you could be worthless in real life. What your parents are doing is certainly painful, there is no question about it. But why do you care, what your ex thinks and does? He seems like a selfish person, you deserve better. And friends, who abandon you, when you need them, aren't really friends. Are you sure it is the reality? When yes, you need better friends, who appreciate you for being you.
  11. I have a gloomy mood:
  12. Today is World Photography Day! https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/photography-day/ Do you have a favorite photographer? Mine is Robert Capa, from the contemporary I have many favorites. 4 This one from Capa could be from these days. The soldier in the middle looks like he is checking his phone , the clothes are certainly different, but the tattoos and the hairstyle could be the same.
  13. Once I worked in a hospital and had to open all the canned foods alone, because all the other nurses were left handed. I could not believe, that noone ever brought a left handed can opener. Later I bought one as a good buy gift :-) Come to think of it, I had little luck in medical school, I was the only one with blue eyes in our group at ophtalmology, I was the lucky one to get checked with scopes all the time. (It's easier to see, what you have to see on people with lighter eye color.)
  14. I was reading the newest Kidnapping is always an option by HinderToyBL and the question came to mind:
