Clubs have rules and if you break them you can be kicked out… it’s no different from an athletic team at high school. As for Marty, he may have been mad, but he outed not just one, but two kids who were in the closet. One of them ended up moving away. Marty is an idiot. I’d certainly shun him.

Damn! Already caught up. I know… it’s rude to push a writer… but how quickly do you post chapters? I got through the first 14 on MLK day. 😂 is Tomorrow too soon for the next 14?

The best part about having young main characters… they keep on living their life so you can check back in with them every now and then and see what fun and calamity they’ve been up to. Sort of like an uncle dropping in to catch up with beloved family.

That was a roller coaster of a story. I found that I couldn’t comment on every chapter or even like every chapter. The story was dark. The abuse the poor boy suffered through was painful to read about, and the mental and emotional scars he is carrying ... it just hurt to live through it with him. Maybe that’s what made it hard to comment. You gave us the story from his perspective. I knew what he was thinking, and I didn’t like it. I did love the story however, as odd as that seems after making those comments. The boy has friends. I wish I had friends like that when I was his age. The boy has a loving extended family that felt realistic. And his dad developed into the type of dad every gay boy should have growing up. It was heart-warming, as Jaro said, even if it carried a lot of pain and anguish along with it.

I’m thinking Essell is blushing. 😆

Very interesting. Has a little twist that requires you to think a bit more than simply sitting back for the ride. Overall very enjoyable.

Another gem hidden away in your mental bookcase... I certainly hope a comment hitting you out of the blue three years later may prod you into continuing the story!

I’m thinking Leopard Gecko or a Tegus. I’d have gone with coyote based on his ability to handle midday heat, but the exotic animal tech, spots on his back, cracked lips, and scuttling clues seemed to lean towards a lizard. I’d also be interested in seeing a few more shorts or a series based in this world. It was enticing!

Awesome fun! I’m going to miss all these characters. So many places and people. You have a powerful little girl in San Diego, her half brother Eugene (maybe) at Homestead, a new little girl polar bear perhaps... you could write forever just with them.... and I’ll be here to read every story!

Very enjoyable. Easy to read and an original take on how heaven might just interact with us humans.

I’m enjoying the story. What I meant was at the beginning of the tale, the wedding was in 5 days. If it took a week to get there, then to be on time for his own wedding, he would have had to have been enroute before the attack occurred. I assume his parents and an entourage would have also been on the road already as well since it was a royal wedding.

Well the downside to commenting months and months after a story is completed is that it’s too late to fix a plot hole. It if it takes a week to get from one kingdom to another, wouldn’t the Prince have already been on the road when Arabella was attacked and arrived before she died? I’ll keep reading... 😄

I think that’s at least two chapters away from a fade to black moment. 😝

Great story! Are you planning on letting us know what happens with everyone in a sequel? Great characters and a very entertaining story. And best of all, you did the amazing thing of putting together a complete story while still leaving so many places you can take it. So, about that sequel... Please? 😄

Commenting after the story is already finished but before I get to the end is odd, but I can’t help myself. What the hell? Do people in Australia actually just up and move off of long held family lands? You have two parents who sacrificed and saved and invested in an airbase land that had national notoriety, and their son just gives it up because his Vet practice has competition? Is the cattle business that fickle in Australia? All that acreage is nothing? They can afford to renovate a Lighthouse, build army barracks, a campground, and buy massive acreages of ranches (stations) but will turn it all over because there is a competition on Vet business? I think I’m lost.
