I bet the last chapter set a record for the number of comments. The interest was deserved. A tragic, tormented hero lover was murdered and we were shocked. A turn coat did him in. His death was not merited and totally changed the narrative as we later learned was intended by the author. It took time to process, Some became very vocal in protest. This is a mostly calm transition chapter. Readers won't be energized, I expect Now we are recovering and adjusting. Elijah and Tyler will meet the boss. I expect him to be very upset at the loss of his family member -especially since a traitor he trusted killed Kage. He might bless their trip to Montana to find answers from the laptop. Trevor let them live--but then he would not know that Elijah was told by Kage his name as if he killed Kage. Maybe if they were killed, then the fae boss could begin to be suspicious of him. His lack of interest in the laptop suggests to me he is a clueless idiot, or the laptop is not an issue and deemed really lost. Trevor probably thinks he can work for Huntington and still pull the wool over the fae boss's eyes. He is mistaken, I am looking forward to seeing what the boss does

Will Trevor follow them or be with Mr B? And now, I can see Life really getting complicated. They could be pulled into Mr B's plans or go the other way and help find the hybrid pups. I hope they stay safe.

When I get overwrought by Kage's death--I am reminded of this poetic, sensitive way you expressed his going and staying Elijah watched in equal parts awe and despair as Kage’s light faded, becoming transparent, before disappearing altogether. He felt something inside of him break. He didn’t need anyone to tell him it was his heart. Something hot, almost spicy-like, was lodged there, and it took a moment before he realized it was Kage. He left a piece of himself behind; a part of his energy, his soul. Something no one could ever take away. In return, he had also taken a piece of Elijah with him. It was a piece of his heart that would forever belong to Kage.

Elijah's heart is broken. kbois used Kage's death to advance her story and knew it would make waves. He was expendable to the plot. Will Elijah have fulfilled his usefulness by the end of this story and be killed or die after being overwhelmed by shadows and severe depression? Will the final chapter show Tyler and Elijah's other friends viewing Elijah's cremation urn ? Of course, kbois cannot tell us. But is she tired of shocking us yet?

I was very worried and scared that the hammer would drop on Nic or Jake. Gratefully at the end I found out that things worked out after pain and fear for both Nic and Jake with the right help. Nic went home in a daze and connected with his mother. He needed her. Jake survived his trial by fire in the school office with his sister's arguing his case. But, Jake looks like he might go back on his meds which have good and bad results I am ready to read more and see how Jake and Nic become healthier and maybe grow together.

When Danilo Syrtis mentioned 50 shades of shadows I did not think he was arguing for precision--rather he might have been making a humorous or at least an intelligent allusion to popular movie and book culture. I thought he was alluding to the maybe shocking erotic trilogy starting with 50 Shades of Grey that covered Christian Grey's wide ranging sexual likes from being a gentleman with conventional tastes to performing manic S&M

Oh, the adoption process is so slow. The main positive result is that Thomas was even more made a welcomed part of the family. He loved the painting of his parents and is ready to accept his new ones GG has told Armand to not worry. OK--As the next chapter starts, we are expecting to hear the wisdom of Darius and Mark on relationships and hope it satisfies and revitalizes Will. He should not feel guilty but he could be forewarned about any future dealings with some guys. He might see a warning about connecting up with Zach. I am interested very much in what is explained. Will he act on what Darius tells him as appropriate at the party ? At 3:00 PM or earlier Will is to show up at the frat house for the pre-party. He is going to be there a long time with so many possibilities to drink, ect. He might get less aware later, but I hope not. He is going to get an early look ( before his college starts in the fall) of college social life and the types of guys he could meet. Darius might give him a warning about a few guys, if necessary. I can see him being analytical and making wise choices and avoiding anyone that promises dangers like he experienced in Australia. I bet most guys and gals will not know him or that he is 17 so he can freely move about and connect without limitation.
