  3. my heart wishes that this didn't need to be news, but my mind is cheering that it was. when i see couples, no mater the configuration of said couples, holding hands, hug or kiss i just think that's so cute and continue on my way. now i do object to being forced onto a porn set complete with soundtrack on a city street.

    Redemption

  5. wonderful blog entry! tim, you may not be an "expert" but having dealt with so called diabetic experts for over 35 years now, i have found better information from other diabetics and their journeys in dealing with this insidious monster then any expert. i spent 20 years floating down a river of denial about being diagnosed. if i can change my eating habits (the worst was my addiction to coke-pop. 24+cans a day) than there is hope for others. it was hard. it took more than 6 months of not drinking for the craving to be gone. each must find what works best for them, but to be able to talk and share the roads is very helpful. thank you for sharing things with us.

    Hope

Hope. In the face of massive disappointments, We humans continue to hope. Continue to say well the “sun will come out tomorrow”. Maybe tomorrow. and hope is born again. Another chance to watch our dreams, wants, and wishes, big or small, to come true or our hearts to be broken again. Hope is what makes us human and alive, if a bit fragile.

well done. so much pain, fear and longing in this poem. the last line sums it up so well "I’m sure I’ll get it wrong."

  14. have grown up with fantasy stories and sci-fi as standard fare (from birth) , if i know its going to be "unreality" and the writing/story are engaging, i can suspend reality to finish. sometimes reality is too harsh and i need an escape

    Just Ryder

some times it takes an outsider to actually SEE what is going on between the child and the parent. the Haners and Ryder need family counseling with Oli and the dad have a few private sessions(and Ryder continues with his own).

    Chapter 10

Cindy is a bitch. the brother is clueless. Devon is lost and alone and if his brother and mother think everything will be just peachy now they are in for a BIG fricking dose of reality. Devon surely will suffer some PTSD and will need therapy, someone in his corner. Devon will lash out at some point.

    Saying Goodbye

thanks Gary. no matter how much we long to keep loved ones here, we have to release them from their pain, letting them fly.

    Supernova

a universe of feeling in less than a hundred words. engages my heart with feelings.
  23. How do you say goodbye? You were a part of me. In childhood we ran in the meadows. Sunlight shining, And wind ruffling our hair. In high school we studied and, fumbled with our blossoming feelings. College separated us by distance but not by love. Long letters, midnight phone calls. Adulthood we grew into a family, Against all the odds and nay sayers. Old age brought its own issues. Now the beeps and dings tell me you are leaving. How do I say goodbye to my heart?
  24. This is a great telling of the drama that happens as one high school student grows into a man. Taking us through the process of learning to be comfortable in his own skin. Parts will make you laugh, and others will make you cry, but in the end you will want to read it again. Well done Fantasyboy69! Thank-you
