The Half-Elven Warlock: An Urban Fantasy Tale
Brayon replied to Brayon's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Overall no. They do, frame things in ways I hadn't thought. Like the original prologue made Shad'ler out to be a complete uncaring dick. Which he isn't. Misguided, but not a dick. -

Chapter 2 has been RetConned. Chapter 3, I'm doing edits on still and will send it off as soon as possible. Chapter 4 will stand as is. A word about Chapter 2. It now has significant changes to it from the previous version. I'm hoping these RetCon changes will help in further chapters. -
A collection of songs from the Power Rangers 2017 soundtrack. This is the movie score by Brian Tyler, and it's epic. So is the movie.

lets work together Topic Tuesday #2: Plot Bunnies (a day late)
Brayon posted a topic in Writer's Circle
I was in transit yesterday, coming home from an Epic Weekend of immersive storytelling. Otherwise known as, "I was getting my nerd on by playing some Dungeons and Dragons." So, I apologize for not posting this yesterday. Before I start this week's topic if anyone has suggestions for Topic Tuesday, please feel free to share them, or Start a Topic Tuesday (or any topic), and we can work together. "Ideas are like rabbits. You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen." - John Steinbeck I've always heard that Steinbeck's quote above was the foundation of the Plot Bunny meme. Well, it's true. Stories, Worldbuilding, Characters, Plots, Scenes, are all like rabbits, and they breed rapidly. I don't know about anyone else, but for myself, I end up with a TON of ideas. Most I write down in my "Notes Journal" and look at them from time to time, to see if I feel they are viable to use. There's some I've gotten and had not have time to write them down and soon forgot them. So, what about you? How do you handle the Plot Bunnies? Can you herd them, and get them written down? Or do you turn them into Rabbit Stew? Let us know how you do it, and Let's Work Together! -
I still have my collection of soundtrack CDs, that we played during DnD sessions, and almost all of these are in it. Nowadays we just use YouTube but still queue in John Williams into the mix.

I assume everyone is a man, and straight, online until proven otherwise. I've run into far too many Catfish, to be gunshy about it.

Another fantastic story tim. I love the childlike innocence of Alasdair, and how the interaction between Berdem and him played out. Simply wonderful.

The RetCon Chapter 1 has been posted. Chapter 2, is getting an Author review, and then will be sent to the editor. -
I used Pinterest a lot for both my writing and for role-playing inspirations. A good image can get you into the mood for both.

Both are a good prompt idea, hmm...

That's surprising seeing as how some of the early GA stories are like pure porn. That was something that I had noticed about GA. A shift occurred over the years from, more Erotica Based, to more, well, I would call it real stories. Where sex is a sub-plot and subtext. As long as it doesn't dissolve into M-Preg. Nothing makes me chuck a book faster into a pit of fire than a male character ending up pregnant. @Comicality thanks, again for another useful blog post.

Thank you, Comsie for reading, and for the Feedback. I have been thinking about expanding this story, but I feel that the ending fits for the brothers. They bravely went to death being true to themselves. If I did expand upon the story, Edwin and Owen would not be the central characters, they have each other in the afterlife. A new story would focus on what happened after their death, and new characters who grew up hearing about how the brothers were true to themselves and to each other.

Sad in parts, but was a fantastic story, tim. I love the use of historical features, like the New Australia colony, being a 'not' penal colony. Loved the twist of it being a romance as well. Awesome!

There is not enough hours in the day to catch up on my "To Read" list. More added.

You can feel the emotion in this piece. Very well written, and beautifully done. Thank you, for sharing with us.

So disappointed with Billboard Music. Not one Steve Grand or Eli Libby song on the list. So, here is Steve Grand - Say You Love Me. Dedicated to all us gays that develope Straight boy Crushes.

This was a great story. I loved how it was told from the perspective of the ring.

You missed one, I use a lot: "Bless Your Heart." Usually said with our custom Southern Charm, which most take as we're being polite. In reality, what we are saying is: "You're a Fracking Idiot."

lets work together Topic Tuesday #1: On Writing by Stephen King
Brayon replied to Brayon's topic in Writer's Circle
This was a good start to Topic Tuesday. I'm working on the next one's theme now. Thank you to all that joined in. -
Question: I've ran into several stories that are in the "In Process" status, and the Author is no longer on GA and it's been Years since the story has been updated. Can we let the Staff know, to possibly switch those stories to "On Hold" status, or a new status of "Author No Longer On Site"?

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I love how Robbie went from depressed, to filled with joy. Wonderful!

Yes, I'm the guy that has started all the first person topics. LOL. I've been using the advice you all give, along with the GA writing Prompts to practice. I still feel that I suck at it. No title yet. These are snippets to what I'm writing for Prompt #646, You were the last person placed into the ship. You haven’t fully realized what is happening when the ship begins to take off. Why are you on the ship and where are you going?

lets work together Topic Tuesday #1: On Writing by Stephen King
Brayon posted a topic in Writer's Circle
On the advice of a good GA friend, I was able to check out a copy of On Writing by Stephen King. It's a book about how he was formed into a writer, and a couple of exercises in it as well. I've read about a quarter of it so far, and as of right now, I would recommend it to all writers to read. So, what about you. Have you read this book? Have you read a writing related book, you feel is a great read for writers to learn a bit about our craft? Let's talk, and let's work together. OP Side Note: Topic Tuesday is something, that I'm starting, on my own initiative, in order for us writers to talk, discuss issues, and learn from each other.
