I sensed your attempt to tell a tale out of Larkspur so I wasn’t going to mention the below….but since you did, lol: “Larkspur is symbolic of a beautiful spirit, swiftness and generally of positivity and strong bonds of love. “ Sounds like Boone & Coy to me, as well as what they and Mitch & Will found when they all settled there. It seems naming that story “simply for a beautiful, blue flower” was serendipitous. 😊 🍻

“In Native American beliefs the bear paw is usually considered a way of call for the power of the animal spirit, or as an indication of the presence of the spirit. It's a symbol represents inner strength.“ The names of your stories, titles, chapters, characters and locations are deliberate choices on your part….it seems where Jubal and Lucas are choosing to make their home fits them.

Is Lucas connected to Boone or Coy? Mitchell or Willard? Did he see his former lover happily involved with someone else & realize their time had truly past? Lucas is living with a lot of hurt in his heart. The sidewinder-like thief who got away will probably cross paths with Jubal and Lucas again, with revenge on his mind since they killed his crew (I wonder if he was a brother, too)….at least Jubal got back some of his gold, which it looks like he would share with Lucas if Lucas allows. There’re already powerful feelings on Jubal’s side for Lucas, Lucas is keeping his feelings closer to his vest. Without romance as a factor, these two lonely souls have “the beginning of a beautiful friendship”….this is a @Headstall story so I know romance will be involved one way or another, lol-it’s quite alright too, the best relationships start with a solid friendship and Jubal & Lucas are well on their way to that.

Part One. Chapter Eleven.
FanLit commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Part One. Chapter Eleven.
“Poor Gracie.”…. “Of all the kids, she was the most like Dayna; yet, she would only ever be a stranger to her.” Gritty Gracie. 😍 The lack of communication is more on Perry not Kyan; I think Jessica did say Perry sucked at it, lol. Perry’s love language is acts of service, trying to talk about anything puts his head in the sand quicker than an ostrich. On top of which, Perry has more at stake here than he ever has before. “Uncle Perry. Do you like eggplants?” Having no idea what Henry was talking about, Perry kept stirring the noodles. “Eggplants?” “Yeah. Dad never liked them but now he does.” Kyan’s sexual drought has been broken, he’s now ravenously parched for that oasis, Perry’s attitude has him wondering if his sup was a mirage. I think I get why Perry won’t kiss Kyan (once he starts, he won’t stop, kissing make it real) but I really want them to kiss. Kyan is avoiding Max, will Max know Perry and Kyan are hooking up when they meet on Thursday? Is Max in lust or seriously crushing? Something is impairing what I think is usually astute judgment on his part. This chapter was about dissatisfaction: Max’s, Kyan’s, Perry’s, even poor Henry….hope the next chapter relieves the blueballs (excluding Henry, lol). 🍆- 122 comments

It’s nice to see Tom be Tom; he now has a safe space to let his guard down….he’s pretty sweet & charming ( I know he’d hate that I called him sweet, lol). Why does Taylan even bother trying to make lasagna? Lol; Tom should be on permanent lasagna duty. I hope big brother Sir Fraud a Lot gets what’s coming to him.

Sorry….dupe comments.

Gracie’s fiery personality reminds me of the image I have of Dayna: assertive and determined….this was a young woman who (while hugely supported by her husband and parents) got her degree and started a career…..yes, it would have been largely impossible to manage all that she had going on alone, but if she had to, I think she would have busted her ass to do so….the only thing I don’t know is if she’s like Trudy, Jed or a combination of them both. When Gracie appeared so combative as opposed to her more placidly behaved siblings, I thought on some psychic level she knew what happened with her mom and was maaaad at the world, lol….kids are surprising, who we meet them as as little ones isn’t a guarantee that’s who they’ll grow up to be….she may calm down (or rev up even more 😱)….either way, I believe Dayna’s imprint is strongest on her youngest.

Something tells me Gracie is the most like Dayna out of all the Sheckler children, lol.

That’s a fabulous thing to be abnormal about, lol!!

I may be a bit judgy about Dayna’s sexual performance when you consider she got pregnant the first time she & Kyan had sex (and that’s assuming she was a virgin). With successive pregnancies (no telling how sick she was with each) and taking care of multiple babies under the age of 3, she might’ve only had the energy to be a missionary and doggy girl, if that.

I was very impressed by the amount of gas both had in their tanks: You get to cum!! And you get to cum!! And you get to cum!! And you get to cum!!!’ @Mrsgnomie loves to have a man who’s dick stays hard after they cum (come to think of it, so would I, lol) They are handling this more maturely than I expected, will that last?

“He’d just gotten his first blow job.” ?!?!?! Aww, Dayna. I understand that’s not everyone’s cup of tea but aww, Dayna. The exploration is good, yet I get the impression that Kyan would be open to a permanent relationship with Perry (he has no clue how very receptive Perry would be to that, lol!!!!) It bothers me they haven’t kissed. Will Perry ever tell Kyan he wants more? Will he tell Kyan how long he’s wanted this? There is so much mystery behind Dayna and Perry’s dynamic, to me at least. Will Kyan and Perry share a room in Hawaii? Alluding to current events-wishing the best to everyone affected by the wildfires in Maui. 🙏

It was an awkward outing, there was arousal all over the place-what should have been a circle or a line wound up being a lopsided, messy triangle. Jessica is wisely keeping her own counsel....for now; she knows there will be plenty of time to say something in the future.

To think of the painstaking, back breaking work six years worth of gold represented, I also hope he and karma meets up with those MotherF^€kers again.

Yee Haw, Gary!! It’s great to see a new story from you. 🎁 Jubal’s string of bad luck may hopefully be coming to an end; being bushwhacked (and the ensuing lump on the back of his skull) and losing his horse brings him to just about as bare bones as one could be back then….I’m sorry he had to shoot Kema, they seemed to have had a very special bond. Lucas coming to his aid is a godsend; where Jubal questions his gut, Lucas trusts his own & that appears to be to both their benefit. Jubal will have to curb the ogling his “dangerous stirrings” have caused, might have to go into town for more than supplies, at least until he knows the lay of Lucas’ land, if you will. I wondered if they’d be going to Larkspur, lol!! There are more places a man can call home to be sure but you’ve presented Larkspur in such a way it’s my ideal version of Old West heaven. 😊 It will be very intriguing to see Jubal and Lucas both capture and tame the wildings….roping and breaking a horse can’t be for the faint of heart, that the two of them are experienced in this skill speaks to their patience and persistence-of course there’s a right way to do something and a wrong way to do something….something tells me these two will do it the right way. Thank you for a new story to giddyap to every Monday. 🐎 🍻

Can it be?!? Do my eyes deceive me?!?! Hi Gary. 👋 🙂
-
Hence why I said “albeit unintentionally”. I know Kyan is a good guy, they all are. Max brought Kyan out of the widower burka the school mothers kept him in for three years….granted his interest might have been superficial at first but Max seamlessly slipped into good friend mode when he realized Kyan was straight (or so he thought, lol). Kyan needed a non family friend & lucked out in Max; remediation of some type on Kyan’s part is due, even if Max may understand. I’m looking forward to that.
-
He damn sure should!!!! Kyan owes Max big time for setting him up to knock him down, albeit unintentionally; Max is too good for that.

That crash is what I’m afraid of. The road to HEA is going to be bumpy and painful; because of who they are to each other, the kids, hell, the whole family’s going to be affected….Max is already collateral damage.

You know Perry’s really into Kyan if he was going to still get aroused with Kyan looking like he was going to Sunday school in that club amidst all that available, well presented meat.

Perry stared at him from the doorway in nothing but a towel. Droplets of water hung from the ends of his dark hair, dripping onto his shoulders and chest. A smattering of black hair disappeared beneath the towel. Kyan’s dick twitched and his mouth went dry as he stared. What the ever-living hell? The chemistry between Kyan and Perry is hot as fuck….between Kyan awakening to his sexual attraction to Perry and Perry looking like he’s one consent away from showing Kyan the pleasures of man/man sex…. Is something really going to happen? Will there be regret later? I was disappointed Kyan cock blocked Max and Perry, looked like some kind of make out sessh happened earlier between them that Max thought was foreplay; Max wound up going home with blue balls and a blue heart. Kyan’s got some growing up to do methinks and not just sexually, I don’t believe he’s ready for what he’s asking for.
