When Nash described being the officer at Lex’s beating, I thought that would be the biggest surprise but him losing his precious JuJubee was devastating 🥺. I’m surprised Nash’s mother was able to get to Kyle and glad that he was able to be a protective father the whole of Julia’s life. Jarren and Nash are both exactly what the other needs right now, I hope they get serious enough for Nash to make a trip to Massachusetts to meet the family and be reunited with Cassie and Lex. I thought it was all of them involved with Adam’s death, instead it was only Jason, son of a bitch. Its shows how far he has gone that Jason would frame one brother for the murder of another. I suppose there is some consolation that Wade and Kyle are mean, greedy, heartless assholes who didn’t commit murder but that still leaves them as mean, greedy, heartless bastards. You had me going tho, Wayne, lol. I thought of “Guarded” when Kyle was believing Jason's red herring that sheriff Keen killed Adam so I didn’t dismiss it right away. Will Jason allow himself to be arrested, or will there be another Hambrick brother deceased before this is over?

Jarren isn’t the only one who needs to figure himself out, Nash can’t think he’s doomed to an emotionally solitary life forever. Those two definitely need to have a talk when Jarren gets back. Btw, did Jarren let Danny know he was leaving? When you’re blunt like Cassie, you have to expect that everyone won’t always appreciate that approach; The time to check Jarren on his personal issues is not before a big work presentation, she shouldn’t have been hurt, she should have been more considerate. AND....approaching someone who is having identity issues with “So, are you done running away yet?” is not the best way to want to make them stay or open up. I love Cassie and I know she does what she does from love but she needs to soften those edges.

If Raven and Desmond weren’t bonded before this, they’ll definitely be bonded after. Desmond will be safe from Julian’s wrath forever, as Raven and Desmond are building that kind of trust in a foxhole/firefight kind of trust; That’s pretty powerful stuff.

I go back to what I previously said: Julian deserves many bad things to happen to him for who he was, even if he is less now; That I feel any sympathy, let alone anger on someone harming Julian, (through Raven or otherwise) is a testament to your ability to make me care for an otherwise unsympathetic character, as I surely wish bad happenings on those who have messed with Raven and his mate.

Getting caught pleasuring himself.... Julian realizing his mate was so true that he’d rather be fucked by him in absentia than messing with someone else.... The amazing reunion sex that came as a result.... This chapter was hot, in that respect. I’m concerned about Desmond, how peaceful can his life be now, jumping from dream to dream? I’m glad he’s there to help Raven but “He had no way of knowing that the next time he would talk to his mate would be ten days from now.” is ominous, at the very least. 😳
